An unexpected envounter

An unexpected envounter

Third person pov:

There was a silence permeating the air. Confusion, shock and other such emotions filled the air creating a thick tension. Damian was so concentrated on hunting he didn’t think to listen to any one possibly moving in his direction. He was so unobservant he would have to take note of this shortcoming certainly. After a few more seconds the girl opened her mouth to speak.

“How-how are you just tolerating acid that corrosive. It must be melting your flesh all the way to your bones!!?!” uniform girl questioned stunned, she wasn’t strong enough to even think of challenging one of these worms.

“It’s all about training endurance you know” Damian said though internally still bearing the pain of the still dripping acid off his skin, He was trying to hold back his healing to not further shock this mystery girl.

“Do you even go to this academy I’ve never seen you before…” She questioned squinting her eyes to try and appraise his familiarity. This wouldn’t do at all. If rumors started spreading about him and his facial description got out then the black mamba may find out about him. He had to make himself look as unassuming as possible. He had to look…weak. His mind was pained at the thought of having to make himself unassuming like he used to be. Some might wonder why, but the truth was that being able to walk over his past bullies and those that hurt him in the past was an immensely satisfying experience. To accept the fact that he was no strong and not just a source of sadistic entertainment. He could make people suffer for once. To give that up even mentally to become weak was a tough pill to swallow. He even had the thought of killing her just to keep this quiet but he wasn’t one for senseless murder. She was just at a very inconvenient place at a very inconvenient time. He never even thought of compelling her in his state of unrest. Besides schools that still used uniforms were rare and elite her disappearance would likely be noticed.

Damian swallowed the mental pill and instantly switched to the face he was most familiar with…the face of pain after getting the beat up.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“Wh-wh-What DO YOU MEAN BARE?!!! My very flesh is boiling! They say I was sooo lucky to get strength powers and durability but everything still hurts like hell!!what I get for taking that bet!!” Damian just had to lean into the pain he was feeling and let it express itself through his words, though he couldn’t deny he thought he seemed a bit like a drama queen. “He-Here I’ll help you I’ve got some healing medicine, they should help soothe the pain.” The still unknown girl hurriedly took out a bottle from her pocket and passed it to him which he gulped curiously, he didn’t know if it might be poison after all. “Who are you miss?” he asked trying to ascertain the identity of this mysterious student. Since she had come closer to him, he was able to study her appearance and to his shock it was the 1st woman he’d fed off of as a vrykir. Her hair was a brownish black and was all moved to the back of her head so he could see the now red spots where he had bit her in the park. Her eyes were a light chestnut brown to her hair and her skin was tan like someone who spent a healthy amount of time outside but still valued indoor comforts.

“I’m Eve, a student from the knight academy. I’m not sure what you’re doing here but this is our owned area of the forest, didn’t you see the flags?” She started explaining once she saw his burns had started healing. They were healing quite fast even with the medicine. “Oh I’m sorry, I had no idea I didn’t even know any of the academies had ownership of any portion of the forest at all” Damian apologized not expecting this to have been the case, but it did make sense for her to be here then so she was most likely not spying on him. “My name is Damian by the way” He’d decided to introduce himself as he saw no potential risk in introducing himself. “Well Damian, if you go in the opposite direction from which you came you should see a blue flagpole that marks our territory once you pass it you should be out of our space and I won’t tell anyone, I give you my word.” She raised her arm so as to signify the promise. “Thanks a lot, I owe you one.” Damian said before walking off till he was sure he was out of view before using his supernatural speed to sprint away.

As he left, Eve stood still for a few minutes with two thoughts. Why did Damian look so familiar and why did the basically faded scar on her neck started prickling in his presence.
