Chapter 5- Hot Potato
I continue to walk to the town, quickening my pace as I approach and notice the intensity and scale of the fiery flames.
What's going on? Asking myself this the whole way back, I finally reach the gate
...You can't be serious…
I stood in shock.from the sight, then instantly felt my knees give out as I kneel to the ground and puked in disgust of both the sight and the smell that I had just noticed, naturally dropping my hoe to the ground on my side..
Flames engulfing the houses. Bodies scattered all around. Blood covering almost every other surface not on fire.
Some bodies had long spear-looking objects sticking out of them, but all were mutilated and gory beyond recognition.

I look up again after having puked out all the food I hadn't had the chance to eat. Then, stood before me was a shadowy figure that wasn't there before, a figure with an intimidating aura that sent chills throughout my body. He was big, bigger than any human I've seen. And more importantly, he had a huge ass sword in his hand!!!
“Shit!!!” I audibly shout as I notice the figure begin to slowly move his sword in a slashing to probably end my life. With that, I hurriedly reach for and grab on to the hoe I had dropped, positioning its length in front of me to hopefully defend me from the incoming blow…
*FLASH*
“AAAAGHHH!!!...Huh?...What the fuck…” I opened my eyes, realizing I’m still laying in my bed. Noticing the hoe still in my hand, I inspect it for damage from the blow I’m sure I tried to stop.
To my surprise, there actually was a mark. A crack around the center of its length, presumably where the strike would’ve landed. But what was strange to me wasn’t the crack, but the faint glow it gave out. Though, I didn’t have much time to process what I saw, as the glow suddenly faded, and along with it, the crack. In my hand, was now a perfectly undamaged hoe.
“Seriously… What the fuck did I do for all of this crap to happen to me…” I let out a sigh. Having resolved myself to believe that my experience wasn’t just a dream. I hurriedly stand up from my bed, making my way out of my house.
“Hmmm… This might take a while, better take one just in case.” I turn to my lone dining table, grabbing a potato from a bowl that I had placed there prior.
With that, I once again exit my shack for the second time today.
