6. New School, Same Stuff... Or Not?

6. New School, Same Stuff... Or Not?

1.

Ah... This is the worst.

Not in the meaning I don't want to see Hana again. But this situation in the class makes me really want to say 'Hi' to her. The class seriously fall silent as soon as the teacher left. Why?

But, what will happen if I say so? Will she be happy with it?

I shut my eyes and nodded my head downward while overthinking those useless sentiments. I just need to tal-

"HELLO THERE!" A voice of a really loud one.

Suddenly, a really loud shout is thrown into Hana's face. A really-really loud one if I can exaggerate.

"Huh???!" Hana is shocked.

"Huh?" I'm surprised.

Both me and Hana are surprised, as well as our classmates. They immediately turn their face to Hana's desks. Looking for the one who shouts.

The one who shouts is... "Ah, I'm sorry for startling you. My name is Chika Rain. I'm the class president. Nice to meet you!".

"Uh, oh, yeah. My name is Hana Binatha, You can call me Hana if you like..." Hana answers. But, I can feel she's trembling right now.

She's probably really nervous right now. Not that I know her feelings though.

"In that case, you can call me Chika too. Nice to meet you, Hana!" She introduced herself and then smiled at Hana.

"Ah, yes. Me too".

She's facing the Class President, Chika Rain. A 'supportive' kind of girl. Older than me in two months. But her height is shorter than mine. She has slightly brown-colored short hair with the same color as her eyes too. Her gaze was deep into Hana's pupils. Obviously, she's really nervous right now. Probably, what do I know?

"Our homeroom teacher left a bit early. So we can use this empty schedule to show you around the school. Do you want to?" Chika offers to show Hana around the school. She is...

"A-ah, will you? Sure, thanks" Hana answers briefly once again.

"Very well, let's go then"

They both set off to go around the school.

...

After they both are outside the class. Everyone starts speaking again. Most of them were surprised and also some of them were curious... on why she's transferring.

Tomi approaches me and starts talking. "Hey, what a shocking reality it is, right?".

I answered. "What?".

"You know, her being transferred here".

"That doesn't involve any of us and shouldn't be".

I can feel Tomi's gaze shaping upon me. He really is stubborn and thorough. "You know anything?". Tomi asks.

Why would he assume I know something? "No, why?"

"I don't know. I just feel like you know something".

"What makes you think that way?".

"You dropped your book after the teacher says her name".

Should you be focused on the teacher's announcement rather than me? This guy's eyes are all over the place.

"I was surprised, like all the others".

"Heee...".

It's not wrong that his telling me I know her. I just don't know her reason to be transferred here.

"... But, transferred huh..." He continue, "It piqued my interest but, I guess crossing the lines is very rude".

"Yes...".

My heart feels ache. I have no reason to not talk to her. But if I talk to her, I'll be the one with the spotlight. Should I really weigh myself with it and comfort her? The gazes will be all upon me. If only my classmates were a decent human being and start to talk to her already. But, I guess I'm also a piece of crap. For leaving her alone.

What I'm curious about is her being with the president. The 'Present' President herself is a kind, supportive girl. That's why she's chosen to be the Class President. But, I need to be sure.

God, this overthinking stuff makes me go crazy. Therefore, a smart idea came into my head. "I want to go to the toilet".

If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

"Huh? Oh well, go on then" Says Tomi.

I walk with a pretty fast momentum. Then go left where both The President and Hana go. Which is also the route to the toilet. While thinking about where could they possibly be.

The closest Point of Interest is probably the toilet, and then the canteen, does the teacher's office count as a Point of Interest? Well, whatever. I don't want to meet them straight away too. So the farthest possible one is...

...

{The Second Schedule Has Begun}

{The Second Schedule Has Begun}

The bell rings indicating that the second schedule has begun...

2.

I was invited by a girl named Chika Rain. Apparently, she's the president of my new class. I'm really grateful to her for guiding me around the school and... escaping that situation.

We walk around the school, starting from the class and then turning left. After a minute's walk, Chika stopped in front of what it looks like, a toilet.

"This is the nearest toilet to our class, I'm showing you this so you don't wander around looking for a place to do your stuff, hehe" She laugh as she told a joke.

I answer briefly. "I see".

Then she starts to walk again. We walk through an open hallway, and we can see. While wandering, I'm thinking about what kind of person she really is. Does she only do this because she's the President? Or is it because she pities me? Or...

Nevertheless of what her true intention is. All I can do is follow her and be grateful. Since she helps me too.

A three-minute walk makes us arrive at the canteen, it is located outside of the main building. It has its own building. It has some kind of chain locking signifying it's still not yet open. Preventing us from entering it.

"This is the canteen, as you can see it's not yet open. It will be opened when the first break started". Says her.

"There are people inside, are they preparing for the first break?".

"Oh, yea they are since it's 2 hours until the first break".

If I look again, there are still a lot of students wandering outside of their classes. I'm guessing that they have an empty schedule and just doing their own thing. Some just sitting in the park. Some wander around with their friends. "I see" Briefly, once again.

"Hana, you are a very quiet one, aren't you?".

Oh no, should I be more talkative? I don't know what to do.

"U-uh well, I'm a shy one..." I said that while nodding my head downward.

I blew it up... I can't believe I just said that.

She answered. "O-oh, I see".

AHHH I BLEW IT UP. NO WAY I JUST BLEW UP MY CHANCE TO BE FRIENDS WITH HER!

"Let's just go shall we?"

"Y-yes..."

It was silent all the way to the next place. I can't believe it... How did I even screw it up? I'm so freaking nervous.

...

...

AH, I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE. THIS AWKWARDNESS MAKES ME CRAZY. I-

"Hana, we arrived at the Teacher Room" She said But I'm not hearing her.

W-WHAT SHOULD I DO? SHOULD I ASK HER FOR FORGIVENESS? WAIT NO, THAT'LL MAKE ME EMBARRASSED OF MYSELF. GOD, THIS IS REA-

"Hana!" She shouts.

"Oh, Oh yeah? What?" I hide my nervousness.

"What's up? Your mind is all over the place".

"Oh, nothing at all".

"Something bothering you?" She asks.

"No, not at all" I answer shortly.

At this time, I really hope I can just hide in the toilet. Too embarrassing.

"Well anyway, this is the Teacher Office" She pointed to the sign that says "Teacher Office".

The door also says "Unauthorized Entry Is Prohibited If Not Important". Says so much about how they don't want the students to interrupt their time.

"This is the Teacher's Office, I know where the Administration Office is, but where is the Principal's Office?"

"I think it's on the 2nd floor".

We continue our journey. Chika guide me to a lot of places such as the Student Council Room, the Principal's Office, the School's Clinic, and the backyard. Which includes a football field that has a running track circling it, just as I expected. And our school gym building. Apparently, it's the last place she guided me to.

"This is the Gym building. Inside there are two volleyball courts, another two badminton courts, and a stadium" Chika stands in front of the door.

"Ohhh, It's a really nice facility provided".

"Well yeah. Anyway, that ends our tour for the day. Any question?" Ask Chika.

"Nope, Thank you for guiding me. I'm sorry for taking your time".

"No, not at all".

She smiled and both of us laughed.

...

"Now all of that is done" She says while facing her face towards me.

Her face is covered by her hair, I can't see her face completely. It's like her hair is hiding something behind it.

"Hmmm?".

I can see her lips smile. A weird smile that is. Then her lips move, trying to say something. "Hana, yo-".

"HEY!!!" A really loud shout was voiced from a distance.

We both looked to the way where that voice is coming from.

"Ugh, this is a real pain..." She expresses annoyingness.

"Eh?".

I just stand here confused. I see a man that shouts in the distance. He's waving his hand signaling to come to him.

"This guy is a pain. Hana, you wait here, I'll deal with this guy first then we continue" Says Chika.

"O-oh..."

Chika starts walking towards that person. Meanwhile, I'm just standing here.

I looked around and I see a silhouette of someone hiding in a window curtain in one of the classrooms. That silhouette is in the B building, opposite where I and Chika came from.

The silhouette became clear when a strong wind pushes the curtain and show me a boy's face, only for a moment. He's facing the sky through an open window.

"Hana! Come here will you?" Chika shouted.

"Eh? Oh yeah, I'm coming"

I turn back once again since Chika is calling me. I couldn't properly see his face, but I don't know why I feel so familiar with it.

"What are you doing? Don't blame me if you were about to get lost, you know?" She sounds worried.

"I'm sorry. I was distracted".

"Distracted? By what? Oh, never mind then. So, back to our conversation. Hana why did yo-".

I hear a sound of footsteps behind me, that footsteps sound is followed by someone talking. "Hold on there" Someone's voice cuts Chika's speech in my back.

"WHAT AGAIN? AH, YOU? DIDN'T I TELL YOU TO NOT APPROACH ME ANYMORE?".

A familiar voice cuts Chika's speech. And for some reason, she's really angry with that person.

It's a really familiar voice, I turned around,

What a shocking reality...

It really is a reality, isn't it?

I wonder...

Standing in front of me, The one I saw in my classroom earlier, The one that stares into the sky in that classroom across here, The one that guided me through a forest, And the one that shows me the color of fireworks...
