Lucas's days as an infant were peaceful and serene but rather boring. He didn't have to do anything, he had no responsibilities except for eating, sleeping, pooping, and repeat. Although on occasion when the servants came to care for him or his family for that matter he had to do the occasion game of faces and finger squeezing.
With the amount of free time on his hands it allowed him to think about his future and the endeavors he will have to impart in.
He quickly realized that infants have no motor control over their limbs all he could do is wave his little arms around and even that wore him out quickly. He couldn't even excrete his own wastes at his own discretion. It would come out on it own without warning one moment he'd be fine next the dam would break between his legs.
After coming to terms with the baby routine he began to study what he could thoroughly. From what he could tell he was a regular human infant and his family as well as their servants were human as well. If there were any differences between this world's human children and his old one he couldn't see it.
He could hear his own heartbeat, his chest rose and fell with every breath he took. Even his down stairs member was exactly the same.
Even his families structure was very familiar to him. From what he could tell they belonged to a wealthy noble family and if it was anything like his previous worlds then his father would be the head of the household. However this also posed a problem to him as well because as far as he could see he only had one older sibling and she was a girl. As woman from his world couldn't inherit titles or annuities that would make him the sole heir of this new family.
This could cause friction later on as he had no desire to be tied down to lead one small noble family his whole life. Or have any inheritance disputes with his new family members.
He decided to set that problem aside for later as he only had two priorities at the moment. One, he had to learn the language everyone spoke so he could follow and understand what everyone around him was saying. It also tied into priority number two. Which was to learn and figure out how their mystic arts work or at the very least their foundations but that had a deadline because if it was anything like the aura battle arts from his world then once his body was full developed and done growing his sentry pool would stop maturing along with it.
After that you could only improve your control over your aura not your volume. So he set his sights on mastering the arts first, after all being considered slow was better than being considered helpless.
Lucas spent his first days in the new world lying in a cradle in his own private quarters, he hadn't seen his sister's or parent's rooms yet. Everyday his mother would come and breastfeed him all the while singing him a lullaby and rocking him in her arms.
Every time someone would take the time to talk to him, he would study everything they said trying, to find common words or speech patterns.
Whenever he wasn't being feed or his diaper changed, he would go over the hands seals he saw the midwife preformed in his head over and over to engrave them into his memory.
He had tried to preform the spells and duplicate the effects on his own but each time he did it only ended in failure. He came to the conclusion that the hand seals and the words were necessary somehow for the spells to work. If that was the case he would have to wait until he was older and had proper finger control. It frustrated him to no end but decided it couldn't be helped, and instead focused on his previous worlds breathing techniques to gather energy for his sentry.

Thankfully his days were pretty comfortable as his mother showered him with nothing but compassion and love. It was a new feeling for him since in his last life he didn't know his mother or grew up with anything resembling familial affection. But Rhea made him feel loved and treasured, and honestly it wasn't half bad.
Over the course of the next few days Lucas's horizons were expanding.
Rhea, showed herself to be a rather protective and territorial mother. Although she allowed the servants to tend to Lucas's changing she wouldn't let the wet nurse within ten feet of him. She also insisted on being the only one to sing to him and lull him to sleep. It was starting to become a problem for the house staff who thought to complain to the lord on what they should do.
She even took him to the bath with her on one occasion giving Lucas a full view of her figure. Despite giving birth less than a week prior she was a beautiful woman, appearing to be in her late twenties with shoulder length golden hair. She was blessed with all the right curves and proportions, but her body appeared well toned and chiseled which was strange for a noble dame. It could have been the mother-son bonding time they had spent together but Lucas took great pride in her appearance as if he had a hand in carving it.
Lucas also happened to discover that apparently woman didn't wear bra's or undergarments in this new world not that he was complaining. For research reasons of course.
After a week had passed he was finally taken out of his personal quarters and shown the rest of his family's estate while being carried by either a servant or his mother. He noticed his family's estate was rather large there were many corridors and hallways. Lucas tried his hardest to memorize each passage he was carried down to understand the layout of his new home. From what he saw so far the home had a large dinning room where his family would gather for meals when they were home. It also possessed an equal large kitchen that was always filled with kitchen staff ready to cook a meal the second it was requested.
One day when his mother had decided to carry him in her personal sash, wrapping him up like a caterpillar so he couldn't move a muscle and carry him with one arm with the least excretion he finally saw his sister again.
She was wearing some brown leather training gear and her hair was tied back into a bun to keep it from getting in her face.
*"Where are you heading at this hour Leah? The sun has barely risen you should be in bed, and you know very well I dont like you handling real weapons!"*
She said with a stern voice her face showing only sincere concern.
*"Mom, you know I like to get an early start on my training. We dont know when my core will awaken, so I cant afford to slack off."* She said her face filled with determination
*"Zach said im at the age where I need to get used to the weight of a real weapon, dont worry I know its not a toy mom."*
"Looks like I need to have a little chat with Zach." Rhea thought to herself annoyed.
*"Fine, just dont push yourself to hard little one, it could still be a couple of years before your mana core awakens so take it slow."* She said rubbing her daughters hair affectionately.
*"I cant afford to go slow mom, Im the future head of the great Klaus family I have a duty to fulfill."* She announced proudly giving a childish soldier solute.
*"Yes, Yes keep at it my brave little knight."* Rhea said with a chuckle amused by her daughters sense of duty. *" But I expect to see you at breakfast with the rest of the family, and in proper lady attire."* She said looking down at her daughters beloved pants with disdain, she would always wear them no matter how much Rhea nagged her.
After giving her mother another childish salute she ran off to the training grounds to find the master at arms instructor Zach for her morning lessons. Rhea kept walking exasperated at her daughters behavior. She secretly wished she hadn't taken so much from her fathers side of the family. She had always pursued more masculine endeavors rather than act like a proper lady. When she tried to teach her embroidery she'd rather go hunt, when Rhea got her a dance instructor she'd go horse back riding instead. Sometimes Rhea wondered if she did it on purpose just to torture her, or was this some sick joke sent from the All Father. In time she learned that she just had to compromise with her daughter and enjoy the small victories.
*"I sincerely hope you dont offer me the same amount of trouble little Mar, I dont think I could survive two rascals no matter how adorable."* she said to Lucas sweetly.
"Ga" was all Lucas could say in response.
*"Thats a good boy now lets go see if we can find your father he's probably camped out in his study again."* She said walking down the stone hallway lite by torches all the while humming a sweet tune for Lucas.
