Prologue
Today is a good day. Why? You ask. That is because today is the day for the final addition of my favorite game franchise to be released. For a shut-in NEET freelancer like me who lives single, things like these are the ones I enjoy the most.
Most people will think it's kind of pathetic and I kind of agree, but that does not mean I am going to change my lifestyle. I was never the social type anyway. I couldn't for my life understand why my friends in school look so excited for a weekend outing, for me weekend was the time I could shut myself in my room without about caring about school and play Videogames and Anime, read manga and webnovels to my heart's content.
Living like that has a harsh impact on your social skills and yeah, as expected, I spectacularly failed at my first job(that I was even able to get a job is a testament to human patience). So I just resigned and started working as a freelancer from the comfort of my home.
I was kind of worried in the beginning but to be honest. Freelancing was way more easier than working at an office so even if it was less reliable than an old-fashioned stable job it was the way go for me since it didn't involve physically meet people(So Yeah, Free lancing is the best! Hurrah for freelancing).
Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation.
Also did I tell how it feels to get shouted for being incompetent by a horrible boss who does nothing himself and the nauseous way you have suck up to them at a company outing evening.
For all the above reasons I, as a socially awkward person, would rather be an unstable freelancer than stable white-collar job holder.
[Vrrrrm!]
Feeling the vibration in my jean's pocket, I take out my and turn the screen on to see what it is about. Whoa! Looks like the final episode of my this season's favorite anime is released.
just as this happened, I reached a crossroad on my way to the game store, it was early morning and the city was not completely awake (You had to wait from very early morning if you wanted to get a copy of the popular games on the release date.)
I took one look at the traffic and the lights and saw it was all clear and took out my ear pods and turn on the the anime and begin crossing the road.
I was so engrossed in watching the anime that I didn't notice the speedy truck driving my way (with a probably sleeping driver) until it crashed into me and every thing blacked out.
