After breakfast, Bronson quickly changed into cleaner pair of clothes and hurriedly prepared to go for work.

"I will be back before lunch, Serina, as the eldest, take care of the other children so that they don't go far away. Nic, don't cause any problems for her ".

Offended that he thought that he would stoop as low as to bother a small child, Nicolus opened his eyes in protest but stopped in the middle as the memories of the previous Nic doing it came up and he shut his mouth.

" I will behave."

He managed to eke out

"Truly?"

Bronson raised his eyebrow as he said in a suspicious voice,

"Yes, Truly!" NIc said in hard tone as if he would never do such a thing.

"If you say so" Bronson said as he went out.

As soon as they were sure that he was truly gone, the children gathered in a circle and kept talking as several of the heads nodded and they glanced his away

"Hey Nic! Let's go out and play!"

One of them said to him.

"No, I told Bronson that I will not cause any trouble for Serina."

The group of children exchanged confused glances.

"Don't always play even though you say that?"

This was only spoken with a child's innocence but it still made Nicolus wince.

"This time it's going to be different!"

NIcolud said as he shook his head.

'Although I also want to know about this world' Nicolus thought as he turned the children down.

At this point, the children were just desperate to find a reason to get Nicolus to play.

One of them felt something in mind connect as he said.

"Bronson only said to not cause any trouble for Serina, Right?"

"Yeah," Nicolus said uneasily. Something about the way the boy said made him wary that he had found the glaring loophole in his statement.

"Then the trouble is gone if we can make Serina join in to play right? That way we won't be troubling her!" The boy excitedly explained to the other children.

Nicolus helplessly shook his head at the hopeful children.

"That's goodn'all but how are going to persuade Serina. Surely you have a plan for that right "

Nicolus said which made hopeful children pause as they realized they had no plan.

But the one who made the suggestion was also the one who made comment on this note.

"We can't persuade her but that doesn't you can't ". He said this as all the children turned to look at Nicolus with hopeful eyes.

'Well, how hard could it be persuade a child?' he thought as gave in to the children's stares

Turns out it was pretty easy to convince Serina and make her join in on the fun. He just had to describe a couple games that children in his world played to get them interested and pretty soon every one was playing games from Earth outside the orphanage.

The slums were, as expected, a pretty grim place even on Earth but here it was even worse. It slums n earth had proper sewer system but the ones here seem to have abandoned in midst of completing and weren't used so the whole placed seemed like latrines were dug to dispose waste and the smell was awful but the children didn't seem to are they played tag and other games.

Nicolus looked up into the sky and saw the sun and clouds high up. He was kind of disappointed that It was so normal

'Who knowns? It could have been a binary solar system. Now it seems like this is an alternate reality rather than another world'

The children played outside till near noon when Serina urged that it was time for Bronson to come back and they then went back to the old orphanage.

In midst of that, only one noteworthy event took place was when children accidently moved out of the slums and into the market place where upon some people looked at them with eyes of disgust as if they were witnessing a pest running amok.

For reason he attributed to his good conscience and the Niclus part of himself these eyes upset him more than anything else.

By the time Bronson was back, all the exhausted children had fallen asleep. He stared at them and gave me a LOOK that me realize he figured everything out. Serina just looked guilty silent but Bronson just sighed and went back to his room.
