15.Preperation

A week before the incident between Spencer and AJ, I sat in my rundown apartment and thought about the best way to create a problem. I couldn't let the problem get out of hand so that I would be able to help. It also shouldn't be traced back to me either. After some thought, I came to the conclusion that I would need more information about AJ's future businesses to make a good plan.

I walked towards the club in the middle of the night. It was completely dark but I put on a hood and covered my face with sunglasses just in case. The computers with the information I needed were in the office. There was only one problem - they were all password protected. I waited a few hours near the club until there was only Viktor in the office sitting alone at a computer. Now I just had to manage to get him out of the office without him locking the computer. While I was waiting for only one person to be left in the club, I noticed some junkies talking to each other next to a pond. I needed a distraction and they were just right for it. I went over to them and asked, "Hey, you want to make some money? If you do me a favor I'll give you 2000 pounds".

One of the 3 men came up to me and said, "What are you doing here boy? Get lost before I change my mind". He thought I wasn't serious about my offer and was just making fun of them. I had to show them how serious I was.

"Here, take this," I said and gave them each 100 pounds".

"You can keep the money. I just want you to listen to me for a minute," I added. I could see from their astonished faces that I had now aroused their interest. After I told them what exactly I wanted from them, they thought about it for a moment but finally decided to agree when I increased the reward and promised them 1000 pounds per person.

I positioned myself near the entrance and waited for them to start the distraction. I would be lying if I said I thought these men were competent, but they didn't have to be for this job. I watched the office where Viktor was through a window that was on the site of the club.

Suddenly a deafening noise rang out through the empty streets. Viktor immediately realised what the noise meant and ran outside.

"Heyy what the hell are you doing? I'll kill you if I catch you. You're already dead," he shouted when he saw the three men smashing the windows of his brand new car. When the men saw Viktor coming, they panicked and immediately scattered from the parking lot in different directions.

When I was sure that Viktor was far enough away, I quickly entered the office and copied all the files onto my USB stick. It took 5 minutes to transfer all the data, but when I left the club Viktor was still nowhere to be seen. I just hoped that he hadn't caught the men. However, my worries disappeared when I saw Viktor returning to his car in a rage. They must have managed to get away from him.

After making sure the men were okay and paying them, I made my way home. When I paid them I gave them an extra 500 pounds as they seemed to have been chased by Viktor for a long time and looked a mess.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

When I got home, I wanted to know as quickly as possible what information was on my USB stick. And It was a lot more than I had ever expected.

I found out that AJ was funding Wright's campaign. He got the money by importing coke from abroad and selling it to drug dealers all over the country. The guys from the club who worked for him were mostly messengers who delivered to smaller drug dealers in the city. The files also contained all their old and future buyers. It was apparently Viktor's job to manage the money.

But the USB stick didn't just contain information about the drug deals. I also found out a lot about Viktor, including that he had embezzled money from AJ. But that wasn't what shocked me the most. In one of the files I found pictures and videos of Viktor committing various crimes. There was everything from blackmail and kidnapping to even murder. The videos were brutal but Viktor showed no remorse during any of his actions. He did not react to any of his victims' cries and acted coldly like a mashine. The more I saw, the clearer it became to me that the rumors about him were not just simple rumors.

I couldn't let someone like him roam free, that much was certain. That was the moment when I had already decided that I would use him as a scapegoat for my plan.

I had a lot to do in the days that followed. While researching Wright, I found out that he and his rival Spence Keene couldn't stand each other. I sent some of the data anonymously in an email to Keene's campaign manager. In the files I sent was information about the latest buyer and the connection that AJ and Wright had with each other.

I knew he couldn't just ignore this information a few months before the election. But at the latest after Jeff's arrest he would believe the entire content of my mail. Since he wasn't targeting Jeff but AJ, he had to make sure that the drug deal would happen anyway. One of Spencer's biggest supporters was the acting police chief. With his help, he could have a cop replace Jeff and get AJ to double-cross Wright after his arrest.

The next step in my plan was to actually get arrested. Or at least create enough excitement for me to be taken to the station. It was also important that AJ, among others, would find out about my arrest. So the next day I followed Scott after training and started arguing with a policeman near him. I knew that Scott would tell everyone in the club about my altercation while I was away. This was crucial to be able to explain later why I was chasing the wrong Jeff.

Finally, all I had to do was turn up at the club on the day of the meeting with the fake Jeff and warn AJ and Scott just before the drug deal. I knew Wright would like the idea of the reporters publicly embarrassing Spencer. But the scandals that came to light had nothing to do with my plan and were also unexpected for me.

Finally I just had to tell in the meeting that I had heard about a traitor who was being blackmailed by Spencer. I then sent the evidence of Viktor's crimes to the police just before the meeting today so that he could be arrested in front of AJ at the perfect moment. After Viktor's arrest, AJ also found out that he had been cheated out of a lot of money by him over the last few years. This discovery removed the last doubts AJ had and 2 days after Viktor's arrest he was found dead in his cell.

The plan was risky and depended on a lot of factors, but this seemed to be the only way to not only gain AJ's trust but also Wright's attention. I realized that I had to be willing to do anything. Because only then will I be able to join a group like Trident.
