11.Plan

The last few days had been incredibly stressful, but I knew they would be nothing compared to today. I was up at 6am and headed towards the club. Now that I had bought a new bike for my plan, I no longer had to walk. Actually I would come of age in 3 months, only then would I be allowed to ride unaccompanied. The good thing was that Blaze Coleman was 8 months older than me, so that wasn't a problem. That was one of the only advantages of my new identity. As the sun had only just risen, the hall was almost completely empty. In fact, apart from AJ who was in the office with his men, there was only one other person there. The person knew me and came up to me as soon as he saw me enter the club.

"Hey Blaze, long time no see," Alex greeted me. It wasn't really unexpected to meet him here at this time. He's about to make his professional debut and has to step on the gas in training accordingly.

"Hi Alex, I'm glad to see that you're feeling better now. I wanted to apologize to you again personally. The aftermath of our fight took away important preparation time," I said. I actually felt guilty. I could have just let the round end, but I decided to beat him Ko to make a good impression on AJ. I don't know Alex well, but I've heard a lot about him from the others in the club. He's just a passionate boxer who loves to fight and has nothing to do with AJ's business.

"You don't have to apologize for that. Especially because I was the person who went overboard from the beginning. I recognized right away that you were a good fighter and because I hadn't had a good sparring partner in a long time, I was a little more excited. I also started training again a few days ago so I actually didn't lose that much time," Alex explained.

"Oh really, I didn't know that. I had a lot going on last week so I didn't have much time."

"I noticed that. I was quite shocked when I asked about you and the others told me why you hadn't been around for the last few days."

"Oh man, so you heard it too?" I said ashamedly.

"Ehm, yes, Scott made sure that everyone in the club found out."

"Oh, I wasn't sure, but I thought I'd seen him that day"

"I know you're still young but you should try to control yourself better in the future and avoid the police."

"You're right and I've already learned my lesson. They gave me the opportunity to participate in a rehabilitation program or volunteer to pick up trash in the park for a few days. I can tell you in retrospect I should have taken the rehabilitation program, because those parties in the evenings really go too far"

"Hahaha The main thing is that you've learned something from it and it won't happen again," said Alex.

"Alex, you've had enough of the break, let's get on with it," called a voice from behind. It was Alex's trainer. I hadn't noticed that he was also in the hall.

"All right Blaze, I've got to get going. I hope you feel like sparring again in a few days."

With these words, Alex said goodbye to me and continued his training. After our conversation was over, I was just about to start training when I saw the door to AJ's office open. A man I had never seen before came out of the office wearing a suit and neck tattoos. Viktor followed him and escorted him out of the club. They looked over to me briefly as they passed but paid me no further attention. When Viktor came back, he smiled contentedly. I have to say that even his smile would scare most people.

"Good morning Viktor. Any good news?" I asked him.

"Ah Blaze, you could say that. Luck finally seems to be on our side again hahaha" he replied with satisfaction.

"That sounds pretty great. Does your luck have anything to do with the man earlier?"

"Yes, that's one of our new business partners. Why do you ask?"

"Just out of curiosity. I don't know why, but I have the feeling I've seen the man before."

"Oh really? That's not possible. You must have mistaken him. He's not from around here. Well anyway, that's enough talk, I have to get back to the boss," he said and left.

I realized that I had to change my plan slightly. I left the club again without even having started training. Now everything had to happen quickly. I could just see the man in the suit turning right at the junction in his car. He was driving a black Mercedes and had a license plate that suggested he wasn't from London. I ran to my bike, put on my helmet and followed him. It was really important that I didn't lose sight of the man, but luckily for me, his car came to a stop two blocks away at a traffic light.

For the rest of the chase, I made sure that there were always at least two cars between me and him. However, in some places this was more difficult than expected. Firstly, because I had never observed anyone with a vehicle before. Secondly, because although I had obtained my driver's license in Italy a year ago, I had hardly had any practical experience since then. My old home wasn't exactly in a big city. But that also had its advantages, I realized during the 50-minute chase in London traffic. After I had almost lost sight of him a few times, the man in the suit had finally reached his destination and entered a restaurant. I stopped briefly and did what I had come to do. On the way back, I could no longer hide my grin. Now I was sure. Everything was going exactly according to plan.
