My group finally exited the forest. We come out onto a wide expansive flat field of grass, for it reaches up almost to my knees. Ahead about two miles or so is the human village. Situated in a circular pattern with what looks to be very shabby wooden sticks surrounding the entire village. A wall about five feet high. The village have around twenty or so crude wooden houses built. I will have to get closer to make sure.
The NPCs follow behind me as we made way towards the village. Once we got there I could see an opening entrance with a wagon like structure used as a gate. There are two humans with wooden spears on either side of the gate. They are probably the village guards. I use [Scan] on them.
Obama – Frontier village Guard – Level 8
Adams – Frontier village Guard – Level 7
Their levels are very low. This must be a beginning level area or humans of this world are very weak. As we proceed near the two guards. They suddenly point their wooden spears at us and shouted.
“Halt! Name yourself and your business!” -Gate Guards
“We are just simple travelers. We come in peace!” –Dasas
“Pact of lies you scum!! You came from the direction of the forest. Where a mysterious mountain with a castle on top appeared yesterday!” –Obama
“It’s the work of evil sorcery!! Demons in disguise!! Put down your weapons and prepare for questioning!” –Adams
I look at them bewildered. I did not expect such a hostile welcome. I guess for now we should do as they say and be taken in for questioning. I do not have enough information to get a grasp of the situation. That is when I hear the sound of Saber unsheathing her sword. Before I could tell her to stop.
“Such insolence towards my master!!! [Fast Blade]!!!” –Saber
Faster than I could react. Saber is already upon the guard named Obama cutting him down from the shoulder down to his belly. The other guard Adams runs inside the village screaming.
“Bandits!! Bandits!! Enemy attack!! HELP!!!” -Adams
“Oh no you don’t sucka!! [Sharpshoot]!!” –Archer
I notice Archer pulling back the string on her mythril long bow. She let out a shot of her arrow at the running guard Adams. It literally tears off the head from his body.
“Booya!! Headshot!!” –Archer
I push down the vomit in my throat. I try to make sense of the situation as to how it escalated so quick to a slaughter. Is this real? Before I could make sense of the situation. I hear Rider readying his steel great axe.
“Dammit guys don’t hog all the prey. I hope there is more inside waiting. My blood is boiling!” –Rider
That was when I finally snap out of my daze. I try to stop this madness.
“Wait you idiots!! Stop! Stop! We suppose to come in peace! Not to make them go in pieces!” –Dasas
“Forgive me master.” –Saber
“Me soooooo sorry boss.” –Archer
“Sorry about that chief. The blood got to my head.” –Rider
My NPCs finally calm down. First I will try talking to the villagers to make peace. Maybe give some sort of compensation for the death of the two guards. That is when about thirteen guards come running towards us. A chubby man wearing nice clothes, compared to the shabby leather armor of the guards, is with them. I do a [Scan] on him since he must be the leader.

Anthony Bourdain – Frontier Village Chief – Level 4
Looks like he really is the leader of this place. I will try to talk with him.
“Filthy bandits!! I’ll have you killed!! Except for the women!! The women will be sold as slaves! Men attack!” –Village Chief
The thirteen guards are running towards us with their weapons drawn. Looks like negotiations have failed. I have no choice but to fight.
“Battle formations!! Neutralize all armed targets!!” –Dasas
“As you command master. [Shield Barrier]” –Saber
“Understood boss. Lets clean up these animals. [Barrage]” –Archer
Archer let loose an attack that shoots out five arrows. They take down five of the guards.
“Let the games begin! Come forth my pet!!” –Rider
Rider’s sabertooth tiger appears. It went to the eight guard's left side and attacking from their flank. The tiger take down two of the guards. While the rest of the six guards left come crashing into Saber in front.
“Wretched vermin! Prepare for the underworld!” –Saber
The six guards could not do any damage to Saber. They were easily cut down by the blade of Saber. Seeing as all the guards with one having the highest level of only eleven meant they were just fodder class. The village chief fell onto the ground on his butt trembling in fear. I can even hear his teeth chattering.
“Now village chief. We need to talk.” –Dasas
“Hiiiiiiiiiii!! Don’t kill me!!” –Village chief
He fainted. His pants leaking an offensive odor of urine. He pissed his pants in fright. Hopefully, we can get some information from him when he wakes. The rest of the villagers were unarmed and preparing to run away from the village. The NPCs were about to give chase, but I told them to let the unarmed people go.
This was not supposed to happen. Are my NPCs all psychopaths or something? Do they lack common sense? Is it me that is wrong? I have seen death in movies and online, but being up close and personal with the blood and gore is a definite first.
I do not know what the future will bring now. My initial plan was maybe register as an adventurer or something. Spread my name if such a profession exist. I was planning to gather faith energy by becoming a famous adventurer. Now it might not be possible due to my psycho companions that prefer to attack first and ask questions later.
“Boss! Boss! There is a single living target that remains aside from the village chief in the village now. What should we do with it?” –Archer
“Do not engage unless it is a threat. Let me check first.” –Dasas
“Understood boss. The target is about one hundred meters ahead at ten o’clock.” –Archer
“Fumu, Saber you are with me. The rest go collect any useful supplies. At the moment food and any cooking supplies are priority.” –Dasas
“On it chief” –Rider
“Gotcha boss!” –Archer
I guess we truly have become bandits now. I will check on the person that stayed behind in the village. Maybe I can finally get some information out of this mess.
