To the east...
Bloody guts, yellow shards of bone and tufts of rotten fur paint a beautiful sapphire blue canvas.
As monstrous demonic spider-like creatures surged out from the ground, Adam couldn’t believe the horror of what he was seeing.
He strained himself. “I can’t hold on for much longer”
Inside a dark blue bubble, stood the young man.
Blonde curtains draped themselves in front of his face threatening to block his vision. He was a short but strong young man how'd always taken pride in the strength of his physique. The young man, in his ripped, dirty camping clothes planeted boots his boots firmly on the muddy but solid ground.
As Adam stood tall Against the tide of darkness, endless legs, hair and teeth, that wriggled and squirmed towards him he tried to manage his fear.
He was never the type to be afraid of spiders but something about these giant monstrosities, creeped him out. It was more than just the neasuea inducing rot or the physical danger. He'd seen them, the mothers of these monsters, the way they waited back at that abbysal opening in the ground, as if planning something even more diabolical.
Adam was a straightforward guy, if there's something you want you go for it, if there's something you don’t like you stop doing it and if there's a problem you solve it. That sort of mindset in life, probably born from his childhood had never failed him.
But what do you do when the stars themselves disappear?
When the world itself is plunged into darkness, you’re on a camping trip with your friend and her sister and you get attacked by evil itself.
When that evil manifests itself in front of you in the form of thousands of rat-sized, rotting, zombie-like spiders. Spiders that spit foul green fluid out of the spiked maws...
"What even do in a situation like this?!!" He shouted in his mind....
*haaa* Sighing in exasperation
"If you have a problem you solve it right?..."
“What the fuck am I supposed to do now?”
Not only was the situation so horrific he could hardly believe it but also, out of now where a sapphire blue barrier had sprung up to protect him and the group...
Was it magic? A barrier of pure blue energy that he could FEEL. He knew it came from within him, as whenever it was clawed, bitten or smashed into by those little horros he could “FEEL” the blood, guts, bones and patches of fur hit the rippling barrier.
“AHHHH!”
A nerve wrecking duet of high pitch screams suddenly sounded from behind him.
As Emily and Amber, his friend and her little sister squealed in terror, he couldn’t help but get distracted.
Then, the barrier started to pulse. The tips of the spider's claws started to sink through the barrier ever so slightly.
Again he could "FEEL" it, every sensation relayed directly into his mind.
ignoring the girls behind him he gave up on the distraction. As he ignored them him he renewed his will.
The barrier pulsed with a flash, the tips of the spider's claws, cleanly severed and spilling out dark green burning fluid abruptly fell to the ground.
Adam was too occupied with maintaining the shield to even notice.
Again a voice from behind...
“Adam, what’s... what's going on? Are we.... going to be okay?” Emily Questioned in a whispering voice
Again the shield pulsed, Adam getting distracted by the question. No matter how much he tried to focus on the task at hand, he simply couldn't just ignore the fearful voice that reached his ears.
This time as the shield pulsed and more of the Spider claws started to press their way through, before Adam had a chance to redouble his focus he heard another scream from behind this time from Amber.
“ahhh, I Don’t want to die!!” her weak and pathetic voice leaked out, losing any semplence calm or bravado that she usually retained.
Hearing that foreign and desperate voice, unregonisabe due to fear and despair Adam's composure completely collapsed. The shield fizzled out. Then, the onslaught of spiders to start to swarm the three.

The first spider reached Adam, it took a swift slash at him with its claw.
He managed to react quickly, learning backwards weaving his way out of the range of the claw. The next few moments were a blur of dark shadows, horrific fangs and putrid green liquid.
He screamed in pain as the little bastards started pouncing all over him, sinking their claws into his flesh. They clung to him as he whaled and trashed trying to throwing them off. One managed to scurry up and claw its way to the top of his chest sinking its disgusting, foul fangs into his neck. Sharp piercing pain struck him like lightning.
The sudden pain made him convulse almost knocking him off of his feet.
*Boom*
Brilliant sapphire light blinded him, he felt electric pain pulse through him and as it did he pushed it all out blasting the spiders apart.
Exhausted he started to stumble and sway, as his vision returned he could a slim, humanoid silhouette not much smaller than himself standing in front of him arms stretched out as if to protect him.
As Emily closed her eyes, waiting for the worst to happen she heard another boom echo from the other side of the opening.
As the brilliant blue subsided the perfect blue sky suddenly darkened. A palpable thick pressure choked her emotions as if a ghost had its hand around her neck.
Before the swarm of spiders could move forward again to attack a dark red comet started to blast forward through the spiders at the other side of the swarm.
The spiders in front of her screamed in terror and started to retreat, as the comet came closer she realised it wasn’t actually a comet of fire coming to wipe them all out, it was a burning man screaming a shouting in agony.
As the burning silhouette charged through the spiders heading straight for her a strange sensation overcame her. Relief?
before she had time to process what was happening Adam staggered forward again and Amber came to her side grabbing her wrist and pulling her backwards to hide together behind Adam.
“Wha..what?” As Adam shifted forward, his head pounding and his neck pulsing with pain he felt like he was seeing things.
The charcoal silhouette of a man covered in red devilish flames charged towards him, slaughtering any spider that was unlucky enough to get in his way.
What was going on, was the devil himself coming to claim their souls?
Before the dreadfully took hold of him Adam gritted his teeth and was determined to see this though.
Either he’d die here defending the two women behind him or he’d find a way to use whatever strange power he’d managed to acquire and rescue them all.
Before anything else could happen blinding white light blasted from another location in the forest. A wave of strange energy shot out, covering the entire forest. As the wave touched the trees they began to blossom and wither, repeating the cycle over and over again. The same happened to the plants and grass on the floor. As the wave passed through the scene in front of him, for just a second he felt himself almost pass out.
The flames in front of him flickered out, leaving behind a man who looked like he was burnt to a crisp.
The wave kept on going, annihilating the spiders as if they were shadows encountering light. It blasted through the forest and its surroundings, causing many strange and mystical effects. Stopping only after expelling its vast amount of energy, everything the wave touched became saturated with energy.
Bofore the four of them, Adam, Emily, Amber and William could react... All of them stood in the middle of an empty opening. Their bodies and senses downed in strange energy.
At that point, all of them shared the same thought...
“What was going on and what was this strange, bubbling, overpowering feeling?”
