Alexander returned to his estate and quickly entered the reception room where someone already waiting. Roland sat nervously on the couch as Alexander entered the room.
“You don’t need to be nervous,” Alexander spoke. “We just need discuss a few things away from the academy.”
“I see...” Roland responded.
“Now, I don’t know much about your world, but I have figured out that you were far better in this “game” than the last invader I spoke with.”
“I guess?” Roland answered. “I don’t know who was the last player you talked too, but I research and devise strategies on these games as my job.”
“Sure,” Alexander said. “Now, tell me how things should go.”
“Pardon?” Roland asked in confusion.
Personally, Alexander didn’t care about the story of the game. But he couldn’t ignore the potential threats in the future, especially if they supposedly involve what belongs to him.
“Isabella. How things are supposed to go for her?”
“Well... technically... she’s not needed until the last scenario where her unique ability is used to summon a Divine creature from Carrion,” Roland revealed.
Alexander somehow understood and got confused by that answer. “Explain.”
“Players only used Isabella as their avatar in the game to interact with the love targets,” Roland began. “Any decision is entirely up to the player. Where to go, what to say, who to approach. It never depicted Isabela in control.”
“So... basically the same situation here,” Alexander figured out.
Roland nodded. “The only thing that really mattered in the last scenario was her affinity to divine magic and the divine creature,” Roland mentioned. “As long as she reaches stage 7 on her authority to control creatures, it’ll work out.”
“Then even if she doesn’t get involved it’ll be fine,” Alexander stated.
“Yes,” Roland confirmed.
Alexander rubbed his chin in thought. With this development, he could just keep Isabella away from the future scenarios and let the story play out without being bothered. But there was one thing he needed to confirm.
“You said that her character wasn’t really needed,” Alexander mentioned.
“Yes?”
Alexander smirked. “I’ll make sure her Authority reaches the 6th stage,” Alexander as he got up. “Oh, one last thing. What’s this?” Alexander tossed a marble and summoned Havilish.
The horrifying creature materialize, causing Roland jump off his seat and hide behind the couch. “That’s the Fairy Meadow’s field boss. It shouldn’t be available until the DLC.”
“Do I have to remind you that we’re not in a game?”
“No, no. It’s just the time frame of the discovery is too early,” Roland said in concern. “That’s a very dangerous creature.”
“Didn’t put up much of a fight with me,” Alexander shrugged.
“Because you’re Alexander Pendragon, the strongest love target and a main scenario boss.”
Alexander accepted the praise proudly. He tossed Roland a bag of gold as he recalled Havilish. “Use that to get stronger.”
Alexander made a move to leave the reception room, but Roland had one last thing to say.

“A major update!”
Alexander glanced back at Roland.
“In a few days. There will be a major update. It’ll change this world so much.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Alexander left the room.

“Are you alright?” Irelia asked in concern as she entered Michelle’s dorm room.
Crumpled up pieces of paper were everywhere, maps covered her walls, and Michelle was muttering inaudible words at her desk.
“I think you need some rest,” Irelia grabbed Michell’s shoulder.
Michelle snapped towards her and grabbed her shoulders. “I can’t! There are so many variables I need to consider before the second scenario happens.”
“You need to calm down,” Irelia forced Michelle to sit down. “Let’s stop this.”
“What?” Michelle looked at her in shock. “How could you say that?”
“We don’t need to intervene anymore,” Irelia said firmly. “We’re just extras. Let them handle everything. We aren’t even involved with any of the love targets.”
“But the protagonist needs us,” Michelle tried to reason.
“She has Pendragon. Let’s focus on our own survival,” Irelia said.
Michelle sighed. “You’re ri-”Michelle cut herself off when she noticed the sky turned dark from her window.
They both approached the window and saw the giant floating island.
“The major update.”
------
The academy was basically on lockdown. From what Alexander found from his scouts. Two students were abducted, but were already rescued by Nazaria. Thanks to the immediate action, any more issues were avoided.
Due to this incident, Alexander noticed an increased in the security in the academy. They even employed knights to patrol the campus. Additionally, all future field activities would only be controlled by Sygard Academy handled sectors.
It’ll reduce the practical effects of the exercises, but the safety of the students would be guaranteed.
This was a big piece of news for Alexander since the list of the Carrion sectors handled by Sygard academy was revealed. It stung his pride to find out that they had more private sectors than his family.
There was only one way to get private sectors. To travel Carrion directly and discover a new sector to record it on their grimoire. After that, it’s only a matter of keeping out other people from entering the sector to record it themselves.
“Uhm...”
Alexander looked down to see Isabella fidgeting in his arms.
A week had already passed since the school trip and Alexander spent that whole time being near Isabella to find out how exactly she would make him obsessed with her.
The frustrating part was that Alexander Pendragon hadn’t notice that he was already obsessed with her.
Every little thing she did began to captivate him. The way she diligently performed the tasks she took to earn money. The way she smiled as she helped the people around her in need. The way she tried to stand up for the people being oppressed by the arrogant nobles.
“Could you shut up? You’re making me sound pathetic,” Alexander grumbled. “You must also add that standing up to those nobles wouldn’t have any effect without me there.”
“Who are you talking to?” Isabella asked as she brought him some tea.
She was currently working as a waitress in one of the new tea shops in the campus, and Alexander came to visit her. He stared at the tea she placed on the table. Alexander didn’t like tea.
“I made it myself,” Isabella smiled brightly.
Alexander drank it anyway.
“How soft you’ve gotten,” a giant man with brown and spiky hair commented as he sat across Alexander.
“Keep your mouth shut, Leonard,” Alexander glared at the man.
Leonard Holden, the heir to the Holden Barony, a knight family directly under the Pendragon family. As the heirs of their family, Alexander had known the man from a young age. He respects his strength and tenacity.
“Don’t be like that,” Leonard spoke. “It’s nice to see the Tyrannical dragon being calm. I’m certain you’ll have more than one wife anyway, so it’s better to have at least one you desire personally.”
Alexander’s eyes twitched. He was about to say something when he noticed the sky darken from the shop’s windows. Then he noticed the brown marble around Leonard’s neck change. The marble turned translucent with a small brown rhino inside of it.
“What the fuck is going on?” Leonard asked when he noticed the people outside started panicking.
“This must be the world changing update he mentioned,” Alexander commented, calmly taking a sip of the tea, he did not really like.
“What?” Leonard turned to him.
“I have a source that knows the future,” Alexander stated. “He said the world was about to change. Didn’t believe it at first.”
“What are the changes?”
“Didn’t care to find out.”
Alexander took out the cores holding his creatures. They had all changed as well. Instead of the multicolored marbles, the cores were now translucent and displayed the creature inside it.
“Fucking hell...” Leonard muttered as he stared at something at the sky through the window.
Alexander followed his gaze and saw a floating island had appeared in the sky. He turned to Leonard, then glanced at Isabella. “Shall we?” he asked Leonard.
Leonard smirked. “I thought you’d never ask.”
