“That was harder than I expected,” Leonard commented as they watched the chief’s body turn to dust.
“Get off your ass. We’re not done,” Alexander said as he landed beside Leonard.
“Huh?”
The giant tortoise roared, then a powerful sandstorm covered the whole area. Alexander created a barrier to shield them all from the sandstorm.
“What the hell is going on?” Leonard asked in confusion.
Alexander glanced at his Frost ankylo and noticed that its ability was being drowned out by the tortoise. “Let’s take a more direct approach,” Alexander recalled the Frost Ankylo.
“Are you...” Leonard watched as Alexander summoned his Grimoire.
A core appeared in Alexander’s hand. “I found a good opponent for you.”
Alexander tossed the core. “Shit!” Leonard hurried to his feet and began running away.
A powerful wave of magic power exploded. Leonard’s Fortress Rhino and Havilish were blown back as Alexander’s barrier shattered.
Alexander sighed. “I would have appreciated if you avoided friendly fire,” Alexander commented as his ace creature made its appearance.
A powerful gust of wind blew away the sandstorm, exposing the tortoise and revealing the form Alexander’s creature.
Lunatic Flare Dragon
The black dragon’s scale seemed to absorb the light around it, creating a shroud of darkness around it. Golden spikes traced down its spine all the way to the tip of its tail that had a trident tip. It had to pairs of black wings, one pair above the other, and with each wing having a golden sun emblem. It had a singular golden crescent horn pointing backwards.
“Finish it,” Alexander ordered.
The dragon took off with ease using its powerful wings and hovered above the tortoise. The shelled creature roared in defiance, but the dragon just scoffed before unleashing a power breath of blue flames.
Alexander began walking away as the screams of agony of the tortoise rang out. He passed by Leonard who watched the scene with a mix of horror and amazement.
You have cleared the island of the Black tortoise tribe.
You will receive the following rewards.
10 Enhancement crystals
Record: Gavarin - Primal Guardian tortoise
Alexander raised an eyebrow as the voice echoed in his head. To confirm it, he opened his grimoire and began searching for the mentioned reward.

“Oh?” Alexander examined the image of the tortoise.
The creature looked identical to the giant tortoise he just faced, but the image in his grimoire was more detailed. Bronze patterns traced Gavarin’s spiked shell, along with the jade armor covering its limbs.
“I’ll need to find Roland.”
------
Roland shivered as he was exploring the forest. “I just felt a chill in my spine.”
Thanks to the Primal Frost Ankylo he got, Roland was making progress in the event.
You have slain a hundred tribals
You have been rewarded with 1 enhancement crystal
By completing achievements and tasks, the events would give out rewards. These missions would reset every day except for the one to kill the boss of the island. The mission could only be completed once, but it gave out the most rewards.
“I need to form a team,” Roland muttered.
The boss of the island was the tribal chief that was around a Stage 4 aura user in terms of strength. It also had a bizarre attack pattern that changed depending on the line up of opponents.
“Let’s go buddy. We’re done for the day,” Roland told the Frost Ankylo.
As he made his way back, he spotted several flying ships landing on the edge of the island. All of them had different emblems, signifying different organizations. Roland even spotted the crest of the royal family and three great families.
“What are you doing here?”
Roland turned around to find Alexander Pendragon with his clothes torn in several places and covered in dirt. Beside him was one of the mini-bosses they had to face in his main scenario, Leonard Holden.
“Looks like you already went in,” Alexander Pendragon commented, noticing Roland’s appearance.
“Yes sir,” Roland nodded.
“Is this your informant?” Leonard commented. “Otherwise, I don’t know why else you’d acknowledge his existence.”
“Was that an insult?” Roland muttered.
“Young master,” Roland watched as a group of knights bowed in front of Alexander.
“Stand,” Alexander Pendragon ordered. “Scout for materials and ruins. Prioritize locating for ancient text,” Alexander Pendragon stated. “The terrain and the monsters within are made of dust and hold no value, but kill as much as you can as a mysterious power grants rewards for achievements.”
“Understood,” the knights bowed and headed out.
“As for you,” Roland flinched when Alexander turned to him. “We have something to discuss regarding this update.”
Leonard picked Roland up. “You heard the boss. You’re coming with us.”
Roland felt like this happened before.
------
A week had passed since the appearance of the floating island. Countless mages and warriors had gone to island, hoping to reap the benefits from the rewards gained from achievements.
Michelle and Irelia were one of those people. “The island will be gone in three days. Shouldn’t we be looking for a team?” Irelia asked Michelle as she cleaved the head of a tribal.
“Sorry to break it to you, but unless we get twenty stage threes of five stage fours, we’re not beating that boss,” Michelle replied. “Unlike in the game, we don’t have predetermined options for allies,” Michelle added. “That’s not even mentioning the second phase of the boss. Gavarin is a Monarch ranked creature with a troublesome D.O.T.”
“What if we invite the main character?” Irelia suggested. “I’m sure if we approach her sincerely, it won’t cause problems.”
“That could work,” Michelle considered the idea, but they didn’t know how strong Isabela was currently. “But we’ll need more than her.”
“We co- watch out!” Irelia yelled as a tribal riding a boar jumped out of the forest and heading straight for Michelle.
Michelle’s eyes widened and waited for the impending attack, but a golden barrier saved her. Irelia followed up quickly with a swing of her axe to finish of the tribal.
“Are you okay?”
Irelia and Michelle watched as Isabela came out of the forest wearing a white robe with golden accents and a whole knight squad with the crest of the Pendragon family on their chest plate protecting her.
“We’re okay..."
