Everyone remained still as Xander spoke. Until Eliot suddenly broke the silence. "Wow, calm down, buddy. Speak calmly, no one's chasing you right now."
Isaura, hearing this, panicked as well. But she learned from Darius that panicking wouldn't solve anything. One had to stay calm to find the best solution. "Xander, what do you mean he's not the Demon King? And what power are you talking about?"
This time Xander sighed slightly and spoke slowly. "When I tried to escape from here, he suddenly appeared and said he wasn't our Alonzo. And I remember when he said he was after your magic staff, Isaura."
"Me? But why? I've never even met him," Isaura protested. Of course, because she had never had any dealings with creatures of darkness.
"It's obviously because of your staff. He wants your magic staff, which is the last one left in the entire universe," Darius explained. He spoke calmly but with authority in every word.
Isaura looked at Darius for a moment before slumping weakly. "But he already got Vegas. He already got what he wanted," she murmured almost in a whisper.
Instantly, this shocked the four pairs of eyes in front of her. Xander reached for Isaura's shoulders to make her look at him. "What did you say? He got your magic staff?"
Isaura nodded faintly. "It's still in the form of a sword, I don't know when it will turn into a magic staff," she said.
"Damn. If what Xander said is true, then we must get Vegas back immediately," muttered Eliot. The thought of dark power ruling the universe made him shudder. If that happened, his story would end.
Meanwhile, Evelyn raised an eyebrow with a flat expression. "Xander, we got trapped here because we were looking for you. Your clan has accused the fairies in Elvendria of killing their prince."
Silently, the prince with wolf ears on his head exhaled. "This is all Alonzo's plan. He wants the fairy and demon clans to start a war again. He trapped me by saying that the eternity pendant of our clan was taken by the fairies from Elvendria. That's why I came and attacked. I'm sorry." From his expression alone, Isaura could tell that Xander truly felt guilty.
Seeing this, Isaura smiled warmly. "It's okay, prince. You did it for your clan. Besides, at that time, we were also attacking you."
Next, only Xander's breath was heard. It seemed he was so frustrated with everything that was happening.
"Alonzo is not sane anymore," Eliot muttered.
"He's not the original Alonzo. I've told you, his body was taken over by dark forces," Xander raised his tone slightly. Between his emotions for Eliot, who still didn't understand, and his emotions for the power that had taken over his King's body.
Darius, who had been silent until now, approached Xander. "You are a creature of Demonhold. That means you must know the way out of here, right?"
"Yes, I do. But what I don't know is how to get Vegas back and escape from here," Xander explained lazily. He just felt like fate was against him. Who knows what Xander's condition will be like in a few days?
But suddenly Isaura rose, her spirit returning. "Xander, you're part of Demonhold, right?"
"We only live under the rule of Demonhold, it doesn't mean we are one of them," Xander objected. Although he was a shapeshifter, he didn't want to be equated with the demons who had no compassion in their souls.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
The wizard in tattered clothes sighed. "But you're not entirely a fairy either. As a shapeshifter, you must have the power to disguise, right?"
After hearing Isaura's statement, the four creatures suddenly seemed injected with enthusiasm. "Xander, you can disguise yourself as someone Alonzo trusts and take the sword. For now, let's focus on Vegas, we'll think about the way out later," Evelyn said passionately.
"But the problem is my strength is only half left, and the other half I can't use here. And to do the disguise, I need full strength," Xander replied. Besides, his tail had just been cut off, he wasn't sure his strength would still be useful.
Now it was Isaura's turn to smile. "If that's your problem, then don't worry. You can trust me with it."
Darius, seeing this, looked at Isaura with concern. Especially seeing Isaura's back covered in red marks. "Don't overstrain your power, Isaura. Although your magic is useful, your body is severely injured."
The girl looked at Darius. She didn't know when she started not being afraid of that Elf. "I'll be fine."

Slowly, the man in all black began to walk with authority. Although occasionally he looked to the right and left, he finally arrived behind the throne door.
He leaned in to look inside. Inside, Alonzo was already sitting in his grand chair, reading some documents.
Seeing the creature busy, Xander, disguised as Alonzo, turned to search for Isaura's sword.
It would have been easier if he had turned into a red brick smoke, but that wasn't a good solution. They would know just from smelling the wolf scent that clung to the smoke later.
Xander's steps stopped when he saw two of Alonzo's soldiers walking down the hall towards him. He hid behind the wall and coughed to calm his nerves. Only then did he come out.
Xander smiled at the two soldiers. Something Alonzo never did to his subordinates. And that made the two soldiers stop.
Being looked at like that made Xander nervous too. He then returned their gaze. "Why are you staring at me?"
"The King never smiles at us," one of the soldiers said.
And this time Xander cursed his friendly nature that couldn't be removed. If it's like this, then what? "I'm just happy to get Isaura's sword. Sharing a smile with you won't make my evil deeds diminish, right?"
Again, the two soldiers looked at each other. "You've never even spoken to us all this time. You just give orders."
"I already said I just want to share happiness. Is that wrong?" Xander insisted. He stuck to his guns to greet and share happiness with them.
"But, Your Majesty, the demon race doesn't like to share. Besides, since when did you call the little wizard by the name Isaura? Didn't you like to call her the little wizard?"
This time Xander was truly confused. His soldiers were even smarter than him. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to face that dark power directly.
Xander shook his head and waved his hand towards the two soldiers. "You're even bothering about that? Come on, I have the right to call her whatever I want. Let it go, I have to go."
He walked away first, leaving the two soldiers behind. Worried that if he stayed there, his disguise would be uncovered. "Are they the smart ones, or am I the fool?" he muttered softly.
Unbeknownst to him, an arrow flew and hit his sleeve. Just a little more and the arrow would have pierced his skin. He turned around angrily. "Hey?!"
