"I got the message. I'll be waiting for you early in front of the mall."
Clyde repeated to fix the information in his mind.
Lincoln nodded, but then his gaze turned somber.
"And before I forget..."
Said Lincoln, who was about to leave, but out of nowhere turned to his friend and looked at him with a serious expression.
"I recommend that you don't say anything about what we've just talked about to anyone, do you understand me?"
Lincoln asked, in a cold and threatening way that ended up scaring his friend, who took it more as a threat than advice.
Clyde swallowed, feeling a shiver run down his spine at Lincoln's sudden seriousness. He nodded quickly, trying to keep his cool even as the nervousness grew inside him.
"You can trust me, man. I would never betray you. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."
Clyde replied, trying to sound confident. However, his mind was racing, trying to understand what his friend meant by those words.
Lincoln, seeing his friend's expression, deduced that he was still confused about something.
"Clyde, you must be wondering why we can't comment on this, and the answer to that is very simple. Firstly, if we spread it around anyway, you can be sure that everyone will think we've gone mad. Secondly, if none of this actually happens and people end up believing it, look at the uproar and chaos we'd end up creating."
Said Lincoln, answering the question his friend had in mind, but was probably afraid to ask.
"Do you understand now, Clyde? And that's why you mustn't discuss any of this with anyone, not even your parents. Do you understand me?"
I ended up threatening my friend, but for a good reason. After all, if he opened his mouth and told anyone, not only would he ruin my plans, but he could end up putting the lives of many innocent people in danger. Not that I really cared, but if that happened, it would be a big headache.
After almost threatening Clyde (but kind of already doing so), I turn around again. Only this time, to leave. Just as I was about to open the door to leave, I remembered something I'd forgotten to tell him.

"Oh really, I almost forgot."
Said Lincoln, turning again and facing his friend, who already had a panicked expression on his face, thinking it was another threat from his friend.
"Relax, man. I'm not going to threaten you again (at least not yet)."
Lincoln commented as he tried to show his friend that he didn't need to be afraid of him.
"Back to the point, I forgot to tell you what we're going to do tomorrow at the mall. We're going there to buy groceries and a few other things for our safety. So, I kind of recommend that you take your allowance and something of value that you can sell."
Lincoln added, only this time he didn't even give his friend a chance to say anything, and he left.
Clyde stood there, processing Lincoln's words for a moment, before finally replying:
"Okay, I get it. I'll take the money and something to sell."
Clyde paused for a moment before continuing, but ended up being afraid of the reaction his friend would have when he heard what he was about to say.
"Lincoln, I'm sorry to tell you this, but I think you should stop threatening people like this. It's starting to get weird."
Clyde said, staring at his friend who was still on his back, about to leave. However, after saying that, Lincoln turned to him with a serious face, which soon changed to a calm, yet somber smile.
"Clyde, I wouldn't consider that a threat, and you can be sure: if I wanted to threaten you, you'd know it."
After saying that, Lincoln turned and left his friend's room.
After leaving Clyde's room, I go downstairs and find his parents in the living room, watching TV.
"Thank you for the welcome, Mr. McBride."
Said Lincoln, drawing the attention of the two men who were sitting on the sofa still watching TV.
After hearing the young man's voice coming from behind them, the two men turned and saw Lincoln standing a little away from the sofa, closer to the door.
"Ah, Lincoln! Always a pleasure to have you around."
Said Howard, not getting up from the sofa, while his husband Harold just sent me a warm smile.
Lincoln returned the gesture with a polite smile, although his eyes still held a certain intensity behind them. He had always been somewhat enigmatic to Clyde's parents, but on that particular day, they didn't know why, but he was a little more mature, as if he were someone else and not the child who often frequented their home.
After a few minutes of friendly conversation, Lincoln realized it was time to say goodbye.
"Well, Mr. McBride, it's been great spending time with you."
Lincoln said, as he headed for the door. Before leaving, he turned to wave one last time.
After saying goodbye to his friend's parents, Lincoln waved one last time and then opened the door and left.
Outside, Lincoln started walking towards his house. As he walked through the city streets, Lincoln ended up getting lost in his own thoughts.
(I still don't know if that shit, I had was a dream or a premonition of something that's yet to happen, but I know one thing for sure: you can have all the shit, you bastards, that brought me back. Because this time, I guarantee I won't die so easily).
Pondered Lincoln, with such a frightening smile on his face that anyone who saw it would be scared just to see it.
After arriving home, Lincoln entered the house and was greeted by a rather strange silence. After all, that house had a reputation for being the noisiest in the neighborhood, and it wasn't that noisy. Ten hormonal children, it was plausible that they would be noisy. However, from an early age, because of his incident, the house was silent.
