For the next few days, Faer got all his stuff in order and was waiting for Jenna’s call.
Not knowing what to do with his pent-up excitement, he practiced his martial arts until he became familiar with it. He’d rather not have to solve violence with violence, but it never hurt to be prepared for anything.
On a particular day, he decided to stop by Jenna’s office and invite her out to lunch as a thank you for working so hard for his sake. Yeah, he knew that was to be expected but still, he didn’t know any other way to show his appreciation.
When he got to her office though, it seemed like she had a visitor or maybe another client?
Not wanting to interfere, he waited in the lobby. A minute passed before the door to her office opened and a woman with a well-developed figure stepped out. Her long black hair complimented her skin tone and her big dark eyes gave her an exotic visage. She looked maybe five or so years older than Faer.
Sahai tried to calm her breathing as she exited the office. That damnable ginger had refused to give out her client’s address, no matter how she screamed and threatened. She knew she was being a little irrational, but she couldn’t suppress her emotions. Some unknown guy broke into her room and somehow they ended up sleeping together. Despite her age, she had yet to sleep with a man. Nothing happened, she knew that, but she still wanted answers.
Sighing, she slowly made her way to the elevator. In her peripheral vision, she saw a man in a fitted black suit that accentuated his slim physique make his way to the office she had just exited. A beat later she turned around and followed behind him.
It was him!
Faer strolled towards the office, knocking on the already opened door to announce his presence.

“Oh, it’s you. Take a seat.” Jenna said as she ran a hand through her hair in frustration.
“Is everything alright?” Faer felt like he had to ask.
“How in the world did you end up offending Ms. Bedell?”
“Who is that?” Faer raised a brow in surprise. He remembered offending a Mr., not a Ms.
“Me.” A soft voice came from behind him.
Turning his head around, Faer caught sight of the woman that came out of the office not too long ago.
“Uh hello, not to sound rude but do I know you? I don’t remember meeting you before this.”
She passed by Faer to sit in the opposite chair beside him, the smell of her sweet perfume lingering in the air.
“We slept together.”
Startled, Faer stood up abruptly. “I beg your pardon?”
“You snuck into my room the night of the party without my knowledge and we ended up sleeping together. When I say sleep, I meant actual sleeping.”
What seemed like lightning, struck Faer as he gaped at the woman facing him. That’s right! He had woken up with a stranger. He didn’t know what she looked like so he didn’t recognize her at first.
What the hell kind of development was this?
Outwardly he remained cool but inside he was cursing himself nonstop.
Silence fell in the room, and the amused but surprised Jenna kept glancing back and forth between them.
“You didn’t mention this to me Faer. What exactly happened at the party?” Jenna could feel a headache coming on. It’s only been a week and this guy had already given her so many surprises.
“I’m not too sure myself but I ended up falling asleep in an unoccupied room while I was indisposed. The fault seems to lie with me. I’m sorry.” Faer rubbed his head in chagrin as he sincerely apologized.
“The room you slept in was mine; I was too drunk to take notice of who you were. Honestly, I came in here raging earlier because I thought you were a pervert who deliberately snuck into my room. Now seeing you for myself, I don’t think you’re the type of person to do such a thing.” Sahai concluded.
“How are you even able to tell whether I’m that kind of person or not?” Faer asked. He was really intrigued.
“Secret. Well since the matter has been settled, I’ll be going. I have somewhere else to be.” With a nod to Jenna and a last look to Faer, she was gone like the wind.
