Eon sat and read through the first chapter of the book of bodily revelation again to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything, and started practicing the technique again. Eon changed the speed at which he opened up his senses to give himself time to adapt. This was the proper way to train the technique, Eon just used the previous method of pushing himself too far repeatedly because he lacked enough time to cultivate the correct way and was grasping for every scrap of strength he could manage before the timer ran out.
Slowing his breath, Eon bit by bit increased the sensitivity of his body. He felt through each part of his body with great intent, increasing the range of parts included under the technique until about 30 minutes in. Eon now had the full grasp of all of the sensations in his body, and he felt that each point was part of a greater machine that made “him”. It gave him greater appreciation of himself.
While Eon might not understand all of the sensations that he was receiving and what they correlated to, he could still slowly and surely categorize and understand all of it. He had a similar sensation to playing an RTS, and now it was just time to learn the controls and abilities at his disposal.
It was at this point Eon carefully picked up the book of bodily revelation, using his muscle memory to supplement the basics of muscular control. Normally, a human being would not pay attention to the “how” of movement, it was left to the subconscious mind. But now Eon had to put forward his full attention just to do even trivial motions. It felt more like he was watching his arm from an outsider’s perspective, instructing where, what, and when to move, rather than moving it himself.
Eon thought to himself ‘Hm, in some ways it also resembles coding, yet the experience cannot be fully emulated just through commands. There is still a certain instinctive aspect that I need to overcome to truly use bodily revelation, using muscle memory is only a crutch and will limit my long term potential if I end up relying on it. I need to come to an understanding with my mind and body alike, else I will be unable to master bodily revelation.’
Eon then let out a sigh.
‘Now comes the hard part.’
Eon had to understand each and every sensation of his body, and learn what each one correlated to and how to control them. Basically, he was pushing random buttons and seeing what they did, and there were countless combinations of these buttons he could press. As he progressed with bodily revelation, Eon would also discover more and more functions that he could use.
He also had to do this slowly, or it could kill him, perhaps permanently. For example, if he went too quickly he could stop his heart without being able to start it again, or produce a blood clot in his brain giving him a stroke, and Eon wasn't sure if the healing sparks could fix that.
While the healing sparks could repair tissues, it didn't seem to change his physical functioning so if he wasn’t careful there was a non-zero chance the healing sparks didn’t have the ability to undo his fuckup.
From Eon’s perspective, the first level of bodily revelation essentially overrides the unconscious mind, which has several benefits. For example, the restriction that human beings only use about 10% of our muscle’s strength in a normal state would be removed.
There are 2 reasons for this restriction to exist. The first is to conserve energy. Life tries its best to use the minimal possible energy to keep itself alive, this is a normal product of evolution and makes sense. The second is injury. When someone is using their muscles at 100% capacity, their body will literally tear itself apart, at least until the body becomes resilient enough to withstand the strain, which was another key point of the technique.

The second major benefit of the technique was adaptability. Human beings fall into habits of movement when they fight, patterns that an enemy utilizing bodily revelation can use against them, for example one can learn the angle of directions or timing in which someone swings, as we tend to unconsciously fall into a rhythm while fighting.
With bodily revelation, one can move in between these gaps in rhythm, increasing and decreasing strength and speed and changing movements to throw the enemy off. It is in this way that even someone who practices bodily revelation can beat someone stronger, faster, and even more skilled than themselves, through this abuse of a psychological and biological timing.
The third benefit of the technique is mental capacity. One needs a huge capacity to not only process but actively control every singular muscle in the body, so the brain is rewired to be able to handle a huge amount of data, which improves focus and memory. It also means that illusions are generally less effective as one can sense the "gaps'' in data that an illusion has, though this isn’t foolproof.
The fourth benefit is mental speed. Mental speed is the rate of "perceived" time. Cultivation allows someone to speed up their perception of time, allowing seconds to become minutes, and bodily revelation does the same, increasing the upper limit that perceived time can be slowed down to. This effect builds on top with cultivation, making it always useful whether one uses this technique or not.
The final benefit is regeneration. The body is born with set instructions with how to repair itself. And these instructions have a very narrow scope and low efficiency due to the brute force approach of evolution. With bodily revelation, the user can create new instructions allowing quicker, more efficient healing. With enough effort, the body can be taught to even regenerate limbs, though this is quite difficult and would take numerous years even if one were to reach body tempering.
It should be noted that each of these abilities that the technique offers can be strengthened with life sparks, making them not only easier to use but also stronger. There are 3 levels to bodily revelation, though each level has room for improvement even after the next level is reached.
The first level has the aforementioned 5 benefits. The second level grants control of individual cells as well as the ability to vaguely sense on the cellular level, well beyond the natural nervous system’s constraints.
The third and final level is the ability to control, modify, and boil life force and bloodline by and through lifesparks. Boiling life force and bloodline allows one to create life sparks, which then can be used to control and modify the bloodline and heal the body even without the instructions to do so, as not every potential method of generating lifesparks gives such fine control of the body, if any other exist.
Generating life sparks is the ultimate expression of both bodily revelation, as they are a densified form of the controlled essence of the body and bloodline. Life sparks can alter almost every aspect of the body at will, though this will burn the life sparks.
Depending on the number of lifesparks you have, this power can even improve your bloodline. Unfortunately, the rate of life sparks one can create is limited by one's cultivation level, and generation is extremely slow and taxing even for high levels, which causes most people to pursue higher levels of cultivation as it is a quicker way to improve overall individual strength.
The most beneficial part of increasing strength by life sparks is the fact that it is passed down through bloodline. While stronger bloodlines are passed down from high level cultivators, it is a fairly minor increase, and if their cultivation is low it won't increase at all.
Eon disgusted this information as he continued cultivating bodily revelation for the hour he was given. The timer went off again, it was time for another fight!
