Chapter 19 Seven Days of Creation (below)

Downs gives these mortals life and soul, Odin gives them reason and meter, Willie gives them loyalty and movement, and Paul gives them language.

Thus was born the first human initiate.

What the gods beyond Downs did not expect was that maggot-like creatures grew on the ground where the two giants' bodies had been transformed.

When Downs had nothing better to do than to grant them spirituality, under the light of the sun, some of the creatures that looked like maggots but actually resembled silkworms were transformed into beautiful elves of light. With their gorgeous, slender bodies and brilliant shapes, they were loved by all the gods of Asa and the giants from the moment they were born.

Quite simply, they were given residence in [Yarfheim] to serve the gods in close proximity.

The maggots that were apparently born from the corpse of Umair and preferred the darkness were transformed into dark elves and lived with the dwarves and gnomes that the gods had made from the originating giants.

Plus the fire giants that were never exterminated in the first place.

The creatures of all nine small worlds in the entire world of Jinlunga were basically pinched.

However, Downs had made up his mind from the start that he would not use the other mortal races as mere objects to be pinched by the Asa Gods, like Odin in the epic.

Even the darkest dwarven land [Swartalfheim] would have a month of sunshine, and even the coldest land of the dead [Helheim] would have a month of spring.

Odin secretly stated, “Big brother you're operating redundantly.”

Tang Si, however, shook his head, “You don't understand. As a God King, one should never completely block the upward passage of the lower levels. The reason I reserved the Rainbow Bridge for the eight worlds is so that the elites of these worlds can have the opportunity to advance to Asgard and rule the Nine Realms with the Asa Gods.”

Odin was clearly unimpressed by this, “What if the more those mortals are born, the more they grow, and one day they won't even be able to live in Asgard?”

Towns' gaze transcended time and space, as if he had seen the extremely distant future.

“O my foolish brother! The total amount of power and number of gods that a world can carry is set in stone. The Asa Gods will one day stop adding new gods. When that time comes, it will be fine to carry out the [Last Position Elimination System] for the mortals who are promoted up.”

“End position, what system?” Odin didn't understand.

Tangs, however, didn't explain further.

This World Tree was in its nascent stage, and in this rising period, this 'pie' was destined to grow bigger and bigger.

However, there must be life and death, and the World Tree might come with the attribute of destruction.

Really to that day, Tang Si if you do not want to eat hard [Twilight of the Gods] event we all die together, the probability can only be against the world of the unknown world opposite this world.

Before the arrival of the [Twilight of the Gods], maintaining the relative unity of the races of the nine worlds was very necessary.

On the sixth day, the long night ended and the rising sun began to rise.

By the seventh day, Tangs and the gods were already feeling tired.

In fact, almost everything that needed to be done had been done.

The three Downs brothers could plainly feel that the Will of the World was withdrawing their authority to transform the world.

The Asa Gods had almost turned this world upside down and remodeled it, and if there was anything that hadn't been touched, or dared not be touched, from beginning to end, the only thing was that exaggerated cow Odembra.

Downs' gaze transcended space and looked at this gigantic cow that he had already moved to Jotunheim.

Its size was comparable to a huge stadium that could hold fifty thousand people.

Its movements were singular and repetitive, opening and closing its superb mouth that was a mouthful of Asa gods, constantly extending and retracting its thick and immense tongue to lick the ice.

To Odin's eyes, the strange cow's movements were undoubtedly laughable in the extreme, and he quickly grew tired of watching them, “Pfft! What's there to see in Odumbra? Maybe it can't lick anything new for another ten thousand years.”

Downs couldn't stop laughing and shook his head, “No! Since it licked out Umair back then, it licked out our Patriarch Bree. That means you never know what it's going to lick out next.”

“Uh.”

“Set up a crew, I'll need someone to watch over the Odumbra in shifts. I want to be the first to know when it licks out something new.”

“Alright, big brother, you're the God King, you call the shots.”

Odin was unimpressed. Tang Si, however, knew that this enemy cow, before long, would most likely lick out a bunch of new frost giants, mountain giants, and the most crucial [Warner Gods]!

Downs couldn't determine how the Warner Gods had arrived in the world of Jinlunga.

This was because the two versions of [Edda], the epic and the prose, had different expressions about the arrival of the Warner Gods. In one version, they were licked out by a cow, and in the other version, they somehow migrated over.

No matter which version, it meant the beginning of a long divine war with the Asa Gods.

That was something for later.

After six days of pounding in one breath, all things in heaven and earth among the Nine Realms were in order and alive.

Tang Si withdrew his sight and thought carefully about what backhanders he hadn't buried into the world.

After he was sure that he had no more mistakes, he finally revealed a smile.

“On the seventh day, just rest.”

The seventh day, which became Sunday, the day of rest as everyone called it.

The tired Tang Si was ready to return to Asgard, the divine realm reserved for him, for the entire Asa divine race.

Right after he took his first step in the air, all the intelligent creatures among the Nine Realms simultaneously felt a slight jump in their hearts.

The Creator had accomplished his task, and the connection that originated from the deepest depths of the soul and life, as if a boulder had fallen into the water, created a marvelous resonance in the hearts of the beings of the Nine Realms.

At this moment, the beings of the Nine Realms collectively raised their heads and turned their faces toward where Tangs was.

In the underworld, they transcended the limits of their eyesight and saw that radiant and magnificent figure stepping onto the rainbow bridge and rising up to that supreme divine realm.

No one had taught them, yet they cried out their prayers in unison.

Even though they knew that the great King of Asa, His Majesty Tangs*Paulson, would not answer their prayers, they still fell into a common dream of happiness.

In hopeful anticipation, they heard the promise of the God King.

“Those who serve the Asa Gods faithfully will be honored to ascend to Asgard and share eternal life and happiness with us!”

“Struggle! Fight! Prove yourself with blood and courage!”

“Then, step onto the Rainbow Bridge-”

Amidst the grand proclamation, they saw a tall and magnificent figure transform into a stream of light, as if it was a rising sun, illuminating the entire Nine Realms, and ultimately arriving at the Divine Realm of the Upper Realm, Asgard.

All beings and things in the Nine Realms, all bowed down in unison, and the neatness of their movements seemed to form a layer of waves.

The incomparable longing from the bottom of their hearts surged up to their throats, and eventually they used the language ability bestowed by Paul to let out the first words of their lives in unison:

“By the will of His Majesty the God King!”
