Q and A Time, Baby

Yooooo! I actually got a lot of qeustions!!! Mostly thanks to Bookworm, love ya dude ywy, but also some from other people!! I'm-,, I'm damned pumped. I feel like, with this, I might actually be in, like, the big leagues and stuff. Which is extremely weird since, well,, I've always just been... me. Lil' ol' "writes sometimes" me. Super odd. Anyhoo! Let's get into the questions!!

First up, from Jay the Monster,

"Wait, so is Earth going through it's own "rip" right now? Like magick is being introduced to the world and environment somehow, which ends up with these monsters, but how is the rest of the world dealing with it? I'm sure there are some monsters that are immune to physical damage making the police and military useless. Also, why are the monsters the same as from the other world, are the type of monsters a multi-universal constant side effect for magick."

Yes, it is! One might wonder what came through the last Rip about 800 years ago, but whatever it was, Magick came along with it. The rest of the world is experiencing things that are happening in Humbugg as well, particularity the emergence of monsters, and less well-known, the gradual appearance of people with Alters. The only thing keeping the general populace from gaining Magick is that, well, most of the now sorcerous people don't actually know how to awaken other people's Carritulus. So, they're fucked. The same with Beasts of the Spirit. However, true Beasts of the Spirit like Adam or Judecca, are exceptionally rare. However, if they do pop up, lord knows what'll happen... The reason the creatures are the same as on Lutum is that they, much like the Alters, are from Lutum. Why this is happening is for a chapter to detail...

Second, we have one from Sir Chicken,

"Tell me your fetish."

Jocks and also tentacles

Thirdly, we have a whooollleeeee bunch from my buddy Bookworm, so I'll just separate them a little for ease of reading,

"When they combine with their alters are the earthlings the ones that have the greater influence or is it some other thing that affects who has the most influence?

It's an equal influence sort of thing. At least, it usually is. It is uncommon, but as in cases with monsters, if the will of the Alter is strong enough, they can exert more influence over the combined from than otherwise. For example, how Helios despite being a combination of both Daisy and Fernigus is a he and not a they, like Sikrat. In this particular case, it may seem a little malicious, but Chad does the same thing as Bro, although in a much lesser regard since hippies are weird.

Is anyone on earth going to get magick without an alter?

Not everyone on Earth has a Cerritulus, and not all Cerrituli can be awakened to produce Magick. Think of it as a still heart. Not all have one, but even if you shock it till it's scorched, it might not start beating. This is also why Magick on Lutum isn't something everybody does/can use. Bbbbuttt, people who can use it and have their Cerrituli awakened will pop up once the hows and whys of awakening is cleared up. When that happens... all Hell will break loose, baby.

Can someone with an inhumane alter control their shift?

I'm not sure, bro. It would take a whole lot of will and desperation, but I'm pretty sure it could be possible under the correct circumstances.

Is all this dimensional bleed (??) Only going on in this town or the whole county, state etc.?

E v e r y w h e r e

How is the rest of the country/world reacting to the appearance of the Hentai Heaven or whatever they're calling him?

A lot of people are still calling him a hoax, as for what they're calling him, it's still undecided. The only ones who really believe he exists are those who have gained an Altar, seen a monster, or is just a trustworthy fella overall. There is no plan to do anything like nuke Humbugg, for your information.

Could any of the other gods have come through as well?

I-, I dunno-, m-, maybe??...

Adam, If Chad had for some reason not recognized you as his friend would you have been able to hold back from rampaging recently?

"I am a patient man, and going on a rampage is seldom in my best interest. Chad is a good friend, but I could have survived if I'd never known him, as I have survived for the past six hundred years. That rampaging this was one time! I was right, too, so don't think I'd just up and do it for no reason!"

Teach what do you think of the Spaghetti Noodle Cloud?

"Spaghetti wha-, erm, I didn't actually see it too clearly. I didn't pay the whole ordeal too much heed, and when I did glance at the situation, I was looking more at the red-dressed sword-bearing person than whatever it is they were fighting. But, I was teaching a class at the moment, and as we did not have a break, I did not allow them any time to stare at some silly balloon, if that is was it was, as I suspect it was."

The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there.

Magical Girls, why do you think that every alien thing must be killed are you really that xenophobic?

"Killing monsters is what magical girls do! I'm not-, magical girls are good, and monsters do bad stuff, so, uh, killing them is a must!" -Lily

"Beasts cause damage far beyond the scope of what normal people can handle. If a beast kills two humans, the sin lies on us for not taking it out before it did it. Therefore, although a beast might not seem dangerous at first, it is our moral obligation to defeat them." -Sikrat

"I only do it since Lily and Sikrat need me to. If I had the choice, I'd much rather capture and study them, if they were truly an alien creature." -Helios

What if you learned that all the deaths by your "greatest enemy" were all accidents?

"Mrrr, if it kills someone, it's bad, even if it didn't mean to! Also, it's super spooky." -Lily

"Accident or not, a death is a death. Even manslaughter has its consequences. Enforcing these consequences is our duty, as we have the power to do so. However, if the creature in question is peaceful, we should no enact justice on the spot, but instead, bring it to justice through the ruling judicial systems. If this can be done peacefully, it is the correct option." -Sikrat

"I'd rather they weren't. Pathetic humans who dare attempt to tread the same ground as my master don't deserve his mercy. Ah, but don't tell the other magical girls this, will you?" -Helios

Aaannywho Did Bro just shrink Angly down or is it something more then that?"

Yup, that is exactly what he did. Nothing fancy, just a simple shrink.

And now, the fourth question, from My Face is Ausome,

"What made you go with slugs? Was there another animal that you were going to use?"

When I pick out a creature to use as a "reincarnated as...", I mostly just pick something I've never seen before. But it's also a lot about feeling. I can't exactly remember my thought process when creating the title for this (which is always the thing that goes first), but I remember I wanted to make a story like The Returner (good but also bad) where the main character of an isekai actually returns to be OP here, but I wanted to mix it with the "reincarnated as..." trope, to make something new. And then I got the eldritch horror idea, and where I went from there is something I barely remember myself. But if I hadn't used a slug, I might have used some other creature that also had Eldritch capabilities, like a spider or something. However, as long as I'm creative enough in the design, I should really have been able to use anything. Slug was easy, and fun.

Fifth question, also from Bookwrom, but I count it as a second one just cuz,

"Unless....what are the other gods like? Both evil and good ones."

Very good questions! There are ten gods in total, sort of, also called the ten Divines.

The five Evil Gods are as follows:

Caïna,

The youngest and weakest of the Five Evil Gods, her great achievement is demolishing five armies at once. Her life began as a mere farmer's wife, three kids, that sort of deal. After an unfortunate event, she took the life of her whole family and fled her village, thus making her the Betrayer of Family.

Antenora,

Our man Adam, the oldest and arguably most powerful of the Five Evil Gods. More merciful than the others, his servants have a tendency to live longer than theirs. Kind of considered a dweeb since all he ever does is read and write. He is the Betrayer of his World

Ptolomaea,

A bundle of rats. Hates men for an unknown reason, and is attempting to rid the world of them by creating an infectious disease that can exterminate them only. Fun fact: he's male. He's mostly believed to be a single Rattice that can control a large number of Rattices, but, in actuality, he's a ghost. He and Caïna are in love, but this isn't well known. Betrayer of Guests.

Judecca,

A treasure-loving blob filled with human remains. The only remotely human thing about him is that, much like Adam, he has a humanoid torso sprouting from the top of the blob apparatus, although it lacks arms and is thus sort of useless. Likes taking over the bodies of humans and posing as servants in the house of rich people to steal their money, making him not only the Betrayer of Masters, but also the only creature who did not commit their sin as a human.

and Diabolus.

Diabolus is just a man.

And, now, for the long-awaited Gods, who are not evil:

Virgil,

A poet of sorts who, much like Deus, wanders the lands, playing his lute and playing songs. He's a bit of a playboy and likes trying to convince people he's really Virgil the God, but people never believe him. He's kind of a hippie, but every ten years when it's time to round up Deus again, he knows he actually does have the responsibilities to go with his power.

Beatrice,

A two-faced matriarch and saint who rules Pteria with an iron fist from beyond the shadows. Her forte lies in healing Magick, her element actually being life, and is thus somehow the most popular of the Gods, sort of being the figurehead of them all. Most priests are so in her name.

Angelus,

He's almost militaristic in his righteousness. Out of all the Gods, he's the only one truly advocating for going on a straight-up attack on the Evil Gods, since he deems their very existence a sin. Rigid and straight, the only one who can actually get him to relax just a little is Virgil, whom he's got a soft spot for. Angelus is also one of the more inhuman looking of the Gods, but that's only because he does actually have angelic-looking wings. Whenever Virgil and Angelus go for a round of drinking around the world, they do so by Angelus flying them wherever they're going and then getting free shots where they go because, duh. Gods.

The Primum Mobile,

Is it even a God? Why is it considered Divine? Why is it chained up beneath the cathedral in Pteria? Why does it see? What?

and Deus.

Deus is the oldest person in the world, hands down. He's just an old man who wanders Lutum, enjoying the sights, helping people if they ask him. But since he's lived so long, he has a tendency to just sort of... forget things. Specifically, he forgets everything he's ever known since of before ten years from now. In other words, every ten years, all the Gods (Barr the Primum Mobile) meet up, find Deus, and tell him who he is, what his place in the world is, and how to contact them if he ever needs them.

In other words, a chill bunch.

Aaaaaand that's the lot of them!

If you have any more questions, just ask them below!

I'm hyped!!

(But remember, as good as the Divine Gods may seem, they certainly aren't virtuous. After all, Beatrice exists.)
