Well then. Lets just stay calm an still and most importantly not die.
He softly and slowly breathed in and out making sure to slow his breathing as much as he can and remain as still as possible. He wasn't sure what it was and he was really hoping it didn't know he was still alive. His ears stayed still as he listened for the creatures whereabouts, a soft scratching sound coming from above in a slow steady rhythm as the creatures claws tore into the bark with every step. A soft low clicking sound accompanied by growling that seemed to shake the air itself came from the creatures jaws. It then turned eerily quiet before 4 thumps sounded through the trees accompanied by snow being crunched and kicked up into the air as a massive slim like creature landed onto the forest floor. His eyes looked towards the creature as the sounds of crunching suddenly emanated from the creature as it started to devour the coyote carcass from earlier. Ice broke and frozen crystals of blood flew into the air while bones were crushed between the teeth. He studied the creature intensely seeing it was somewhat resembling a panther, having 6 legs and 5 eyes being the major difference. The extra pair of legs in the front while the eyes were spread towards the center of its head. The creature, whatever it was kept eating the coyote carcass while the figure in the snow stayed still plotting his next move.
What can I do here, One arm, no legs, becoming more frostbitten by the minute. I cant move or the ice breaks and ill bleed to death or be seen and get killed. Once its done with the coyote I'm next anyways. Fight back? How can I even do that when I can barely move my body...unless.
His eyes glanced at his own body as he silently firmed his resolved. His arm then started to slowly move being careful to not attraction just yet while his hand grasped a piece of ice on his leg. He then started to squeeze the ice piece as it softly made a slight cracking sound before breaking. The creature suddenly went upright, head swiveling towards the figure while all 5 eyes focused. The creature saw no movement, just a frozen corpse. The creatures tail lashed through the snow behind it as it growled lowly deeply before slowly advancing towards the figure. Seeing no movement still, the creature padded forward as it swatted at the figure an knocking it over, the figure tumbling through the snow a bit from the weight behind the blow. Still seeing no movement, the creature approached the figure and started to sniff to see if the meat was still good. Once confirmed it was still edible an seemed fresh to a point, the creature opened its maw to bite into the figures side. 3 rows of teeth and fangs appeared in the creatures jaws that only lead to death while the figure still made no attempts to move.
Suddenly, the figures remaining wing, albeit with no feathers and more in line as very pointed bony appendages stabbed into the creatures jaw and into the creatures gullet. 3 wing appendages went in with one exiting the creatures neck an ripping open a large bloody gash while the other two went into the creatures lungs an esophagus. The creature bit down on the wing appendages, its fangs tearing through the thin skin an feathers while cracking the bones to pieces, tearing the wings from the figures back while throwing the figure into a tree. The figure coughed, his spine almost breaking in a few places, his head earning a nice concussion while his arm bent at an unnatural angle beneath his body. The creature on the other hand started to choke and cough on its own blood, its body thrashing about wildly in the snow as it started to claw at its own neck an mouth to rip the appendages out of its body. It roared and screamed blood curdling cries to the sky above, thrashing against the ground an trees with further intensity with each second that passed. Bright red blood sprayed onto its white fur an the white snow while the moons above shone light onto the scene below through the clouds. Eventually the creatures life ebbed away, its breathing fading as the creatures body slumped into the snow, life leaving its eyes while its blood continued to gurgle from its throat and starve it of air.
The figure after a while woke in pain and in a daze. A groan of pain leaving his mouth as he tried to move his arm. He looked around seeing the creature now dead in the snow but its corpse was a good 20 feet away from him. The figure wanted to curse in vain as he couldn't even speak while his thoughts ran through his head. He finally managed to get his arm out from under him an saw that it was broken right above the elbow while the figure started to tear up, his mind finally accepting his fate as he could barely ignore the pain any longer. He then stopped as he narrowed his eyes in hatred as he looked back at the dead creature before slowly using his broken arm to force his body to turn onto his back. He ignored the ice cracking an breaking round his body as wounds opened up again but this time the blood was a darker almost black color. The snow was about 1 foot high sometimes 2 in areas but he pushed through, using his head an shoulder blades to move him barely even half an inch through the snow at a time. Time passed as snow continued to fall steadily, thunder cracking in the distance announcing a storm was coming. The figures wounds thankfully kept freezing over but his mind was getting muddled, hours had passed an he was now barely a foot away from the creatures now cold corpse. The storm now ever closer as the snow an hail was seen in the distance, thunder and lighting cracking an echoing through the heavens above.
He slowly forced his broken arm up and slowly reached for the corpse, his arm throbbing in pain as it was swollen around the break. His hand firmly grasped the fur before slowly and forcefully dragging his body through the snow to the creature, the bones an muscles in his arm practically screaming in pain as the muscle tore from the bone while the break worsened as the two ends of bone grinded against each other. He softly grunted in pain as he let go then opened his mouth before biting into the creatures fur before ripping it off from the skin. The fur was quite durable and hard to rip, but it eventually gave way. He then drove his fangs an teeth into the exposed flesh an started to eat, energy coursing through his body as his wounds started to feel itchy again. He slowed down on devouring the raw flesh as thick congealed blood ran down his jaw. He then started to focus on the feeling on energy in his body as something seemed to click in his head. Suddenly he seemed to feel a connection to a source of power somewhere deep within his body or even soul, he wasn't fully sure where it was coming from exactly within himself but that wasn't a concern for now. He then went back to examining an feeling the energy coming from that source of power as it was slowly healing his body an slowing the frostbite down. He then tried to control the flow of the source and direct it to a certain wound in his arm, at first nothing happened to the flow of power besides it shifting ever so slightly. He then tried to imagine as if he was actively moving the flow pushing an pulling it, diverting it to one place while any break away channels towards smaller wounds were blocked off. Again at first nothing seemed to happened besides the flow of power shifting again while the flow slowly started to ebb away as the power inside his body from the first few bites of raw flesh ran out. He hurriedly bit into the corpse to eat more of the now semi frozen flesh as the power started to flow stronger again. He then tried again to redirected it as his arm started to heal. He proceeded to claw his way into the corpse an eating as fast as possible as hail an snow started falling. A blizzard of immense intensity drowning the area in intense winds and hail.
Hours passed as the sun slowly rose over the horizon, basking the frozen wasteland in its cold light as the barest of warmth could be felt. The trees and there limbs still shivered an shook with the flow of wind while below in a random spot, a figure could be seen inside the corpse of a panther like monster. He had eatened his way into the monster and was currently munching on the creatures cold raw heart. At this point he had became desensitized to eating raw flesh while his stomach still disagreed it wasn't actively making him sick. His left arm had been regenerated, the bone earlier having snapped back into place and mending back into a single piece. The flow of energy was now concentrated on his right leg as energy steadily was regenerating it. He had guided the energy round his body healing it of frostbite and making sure to close wounds to the point where they stopped bleeding but not fully healing them. He had thought about it for a while and assumed it was some passive regeneration skill he had and thankfully he could at least guide it to wounds on his body. He also had night vision, claws, fangs, horns, wings, plus high vitality which he assumed due to the fact his body was able to withstand the cold temperatures in the frozen wasteland with bare clothes pretty decently. All the creatures he had seen needed thick fur to survive an even then some creatures would still succumb to the cold. He assumed he was half lycanthrope an maybe part human but for the other half he had no clue. Angel or phoenix would explain the feathery wings but not the horns nor the fact there was a black stone in his chest. The power source of mana or well magic from what he could assume came from creatures hearts through there souls. After eating the heart of the panther like creature, the flow of power through his body intensified by 10 times and regenerated his leg to the knee alone. His power source came from the weird gem in his chest.

He took another bite from the heart an finished it off as he took his shirt off fully. He had fully sat up carefully feeling a lot better from his first state as he tapped the strange gem. It was embedded into the skin over his heart and it didn't help he could see through it an see that the gem had partially merged with his heart. A feeling of unease went through his body as goosebumps ran up his neck an through his arms as he kept examining it. Black tendril like lines spread from around the gem from where the skin touched it, the tendrils snaking across his chest. The gem itself also glowed a blackish light whenever his heart beats and if he looked deeper into the gem, a multitude of chaotic swirling colors could be seen, clashing an devouring each other crazily but still somehow keeping each other in harmony. Whatever this gem was, wasn't natural an it definitely wasn't suppose to be in his chest, but there wasn't anything he could do. It was merged with his heart so he was stuck with it and he had to make sure nobody tried to break it. He didn't even want to think of the consequences if it shattered. He curiously diverted the regeneration flow of power to the gem but once the power touched the gem it just got devoured as if the gem was a black hole. He quickly diverted it back over to his leg an proceeded to put his shirt back on before softly pausing an looking at the bloodied mess of a shirt. He had plenty of fur from the panther creature to make a crude jacket so he tossed the shirt aside for now, besides being dry an bare was bettered then being covered in blood in freezing temperatures. He then continued to keep eating more of the creature, focusing on regenerating his right leg for the meantime. He examined the bones in-between bites as he started to take one of the large leg thigh bones out of the flesh. He then tried scratching the bone with his claws then raised a brow seeing as it took effort on his part to cut slivers of the bone away. The bone itself was surprisingly durable and was roughly the right height to make a crutch with.
More time passed, the sun rising higher an higher into the sky while various creatures started to wander around the area the snow melting down from the higher levels from the blizzard before. A few of the braver ones coming to look at the carcass briefly before scurrying off after hearing the sound of something being scratched. Eventually a figure hobbled out of the now hollowed out carcass, his figure riddled in wounds an soaked in blood. A crude like crutch made of almost white bone helped support the figures weight while he used his newly regenerated leg to stand on. The skin on his leg was paler then the rest of his tanned body as the newly regenerated skin hadn't been tanned by sunlight yet. The figure then bent over tying the flapping pant leg off. A lot of his more serious wounds had been healed a bit more as the figure suddenly smiled letting out a slightly wild chuckle. He wasn't on the brink of death anymore an was going to escape this hellhole of a forest. His chuckling slowly ebbed away echoing in the quiet wasteland as the figure then turned to the corpse. He then leant against the corpse, using his claws to start cutting away at the fur doing his best to skin the large creature with his one arm. It was immensely difficult to climb onto the corpse, skin in, maintain balance an hold the skin up all with one arm an leg but slowly an surely he managed it. Eventually he managed to have a large enough piece of fur skinned off as he then cut it away best he could. He then smiled as he lifted up his work proudly before grimacing at the sight.
"Ooo that is awful. Hmm, Would I even be able to sell it?"
He softly muttered to himself while contemplating it. It wasn't even treated or flayed properly to be used as clothing, nor was the handiwork in skinning it good. His claws had practically tore it away and the fur had been frozen an matted plus the scratches at the edges were missing a lot of fur resulting in poor work that was only worthy to be considered waste. He didn't know about all of the details on skinning or tanning leather or fur but he knew his work was shitty to put it simply. He softly sighed an shrugged as he made sure to use his claws to scrape the underside of any blood an any clinging flesh best he could. Afterwards, he set aside the rough 'cloak' before using the snow to wipe the blood off his body best he could. He could feel the cold an the lingering frostbite already starting to make his skin blue. He quickly hurried up as he shuddered then donned the cloak an wrapped it as tight as he could round himself. He then grabbed his crutch as he started to hobble through the snow slowly but surely, prodding the snow before proceeding so he didn't accidentally step into a ditch an fall. He briefly looked up at the sun, his ears perking as he remembered about the sun. It rises in the west an sets in the east in this world as he blinked. He then swung around as he started to head south hobbling along. He wasn't sure where any villages or towns or even city's were but he knew damn well, south meant warmer.
HIs eyes scanned the horizons as the trees slowly got thinner an thinner. He was finally leaving this forest or getting to a clearing as his steps became a bit faster. His body was starting to conserve heat thanks to the crude cloak but he still needed a place to rest before it got colder. He could see some large hills ahead as the trees seemed to stop at the top. He steadily started to climb an hobble his way up before suddenly stopping. He suddenly felt his body slip from his control as a intense pain came from the stone in his chest an from his soul. A scream of pure pain suddenly erupted from his throat while his body started to spasm out of controlled which quickly sent him tumbling back down the hill, his fall kicking up snow. He focused on it as he felt something becoming permanently buried in his soul as if he lost parts of himself. His breathing was ragged as the pain slowly stopped as the figure stayed huddled in his cloak, scared of the pain that kept erupting from within. He slowly started to breathe deep an evenly forcefully to calm himself down while trying to bury his emotions. Thoughts of who he was ran through his head before stopping as he had another thought. Where was his family? He started tearing up thinking of who his family was, father, mother, if he even had siblings or even any friends. The thoughts threatened to overwhelm his mind as emotions started to practically flood through his soul. He wanted to know why and/or what happened plus the fact he was so heavily wounded only made his thoughts go to the extremes. He wanted to break down an cry out to the unfairness of the world. He then slapped himself hard as he started to cry an whimper. He needed to survive first before he can even think of crying as he sniffled a bit. He then bit his lip as he drew blood while forcing himself back up, grabbing his crutch and wrapping the cloak tighter around himself before hobbling back up the hill. He wiped his eyes and huffed angrily as a new determination to live bloomed inside him and a fire started to burn inside to figure out everything he could about his situation.
