The Death Games
Third Party.

Third Party.

Back to the room where the trio hid on the first floor.

“What’s true?”x2

“True that we can have a higher then 10% chance of survivability in this death game.”

“How is that possible?” Scout looks confused sitting in a chair he created.

“More than 10%...body snatching maybe...” Breach sat on another chair Scout made. Thinking hard and seriously about the words said by the woman opposite of them.

“...Body snatching? No that would still keep the odds the same so... another outsider. That outsider became a participant...mid-game.” Scout finished the thought Breach had and revealed the key issue.

“Exactly, I found out in the waiting room early on that our death game will most likely have a third-party intervening. Making our odds currently higher than average by their intervention beyond 100%. But after the game is over, they are accounted for to the game and the odds are set back to the total of 100%. This normally is information that the systems of you and I would never say...unless we reach a certain point in our dialogue with them. Then our underlining words will trigger this key point and let them tell us once we satisfy their conditions. Too bad the personality traits are useless in this dungeon; my system told me after I entered this death game something has changed in this dungeon into what it is now. Making what I've known before obsolete.”

“Thankfully I found out some things before the death game started.”

“So long as you do it before the game actually starts huh.” Breach replied.

“Because once the game starts...” Scout didn’t finish his sentence.

All three of them knew it. Once the game starts... all this hidden dialogue and information will be locked away from them.

To make it...fair... to the third party.

By now the three even guessed there must be more hidden keys and dialogues they missed.

No, it's guaranteed they are missing some vital information.

They looked at each other and seemed to think of the same person right at that moment.

The one who passed the game first must know everything and unlock all the hidden dialogue. That was the common consensus.

Or...it’s the one that makes the most sense.

“Although this is very helpful to know for future games and the attitude we need to have when exploring this mansion is helpful...it doesn’t seem to be of major help for our current predicament.”

“What Scout said. Me and Scout have already reached the top and took everything from all the floors. Yet we haven’t seen a single clue so far that would save our situation. Although yes, we do have a lot of items on us. But after checking them out we can’t say for certain if they are helpful to us currently.”

Breach and Scout soon pointed out some issues and brought to subject back to solving the death game. Naturally she expected such an answer as what she discovered before coming here would be helpful but only for future games. However, coming in front of them to say only this isn’t her final blow.

“I expected that wouldn’t be enough. But what I am about to say of the things I've seen here should convince you beyond doubt.”

The mysterious woman paused for a moment to collect her thoughts before speaking again.

“First off, I believe to better convince you two of what I'm about to say...you should know what ability my system gave me. It's a bit like an encyclopedia of knowledge but with more features. Anything I touch will display information about it. The stronger my mental strength the more information is revealed and the more I know about the object or subject the more information is revealed that I do not know about it. Also, If I have enough mental strength... I am able to alter some of the definitions of an object and change its properties or logic to how I see fit.”

“Such as this chair I am sitting on, I added the definition that anyone who sits on this chair in the corner of a room out of normal line of sight is able to hide themselves better than normally possible. Although you both teleported here and had enough vigilance, your attention wasn’t completely focused on finding me. Allowing me to hide in plain sight until your eye’s focus here or if I were to speak out.”

“Although not particularly powerful by itself... setting this definition on a smaller object like this coin while avoiding obvious places in traveling the hallway works wonders when I didn’t want to be found. Even better for sneaking...”

The mysterious woman pulled out from her pocket a small coin and let it rest in her hand as she showed it to the duo.
