The Death Games
Cursed Black Symbols.

Cursed Black Symbols.

Meanwhile, on the 9th floor breach and Scout just started their plan.

Breach is confused and in shock from what he sees in front of him.

[The First participant to pass a death game out of all death games has been confirmed! The participants also set the record for fastest clear of the mansion version death game in recorded history. Additionally, the first to ever clear the first death game under the restrictions of hidden trials. This will be the first and possibly the last notice of any participant to complete something in the first death game.]

While shocking, Breach did not forget the dangerous moment Scout is in.

A second later Scout is back to where he stood before next to Breach.

However, before Breach can say anything. An intense blast was heard on the other side of the mansion’s ninth floor.

Along with that came dense black symbols spreading and multiplying all across the ninth floor.

It took about 5 seconds to travel from one end of the mansion to the other where Breach and Scout stood. Covering this distance so quickly after traveling through the length of the maze is already surpassing the speed of sound.

Thankfully Breach was not sitting around to see them surrounded in black symbols.

Breach took Scout and left this floor, disappearing from where they were. In that very same moment, they reappeared back to the first floor in a random bedroom.

“Did you get it?”

Breach said in nervousness.

“it’s right here.”

Scout replied.

Revealed in the right hand of Scout is a glass cup full of tiny red beads.

The thick gloves were a smart idea too.

The gloves are melting and dripping off the cup Scout is holding in his right hand. Obviously, there is a nasty protection curse on the cup to stop any thieves caught unaware. Thankfully Scout had enough time to place the cup on a table he created beside himself and then take off the glove.

“The old man should recover from the flashbang in a few seconds. I also shot the red slime ball with a bazooka...but I don’t know if that will be enough. Those...I think they were black symbols? I can’t remember... But the old man should be after us now...or anybody really that’s here. I don’t plan to find out what those... something, I don’t remember but I don’t plan to stick around for long. So now we got to figure out how to pass this death game, we have basically everything that can be found here now.”

Scout said as he took off the gloves and looked at the cup full of red beads that he risked his life to get. Nothing special at first... until you touch it. Seems to melt anything that touches it as not even the table is safe from it as it is slowly dissolving away. Scout seemed to think of something and told Breach right after making a countermeasure for it.

“If he catches up to us, which he most likely can do, then I will be on the offensive. If I can’t hold him back for long, then I leave our escape to you. But those 1,000 participants should keep him busy before then.”

“In a fight I might be lacking, but when it comes to escaping you don’t have to worry about that old man catching us. Unless he can teleport, I don’t see how he will corner us. But just in case, I will follow your lead. Those... huh I can’t be bothered to remember. What about the cup?”

“Sadly, the cup doesn’t seem to be the win condition for this death game. Just another trophy...a valuable trophy.” Scout said in slight disappointment. He figured before this may be a key to winning the game for them both when he saw the ninth floor being the last floor and with the most interesting setup. However, sadly he received the notice as well while stealing the cup. It was not until after he reached safety on the first floor did scout had time to read it.

Scout felt a bit frustrated knowing that he or Breach were not the first ones to clear the mansion. But getting angry over it will not help them now. Scout quickly got to thinking about their current situation and how the first winner somehow won before them.

“Breach...maybe we are looking at this the wrong way. There must be something we missed. Or forgot... We clearly have almost everything of value in this dungeon and yet somehow someone else won before us.”

“I know Scout...But I don’t have any leads... Do you?”

“...no.”

“...”x2

“Maybe I can be of help.”
