My world is filled with reincarnation stories. Most account the tales of great heroes, who die in their own world and are reborn into this one with all their memories intact. It sounds unbelievable, to have another life in a completely different world after your first ended.
Which is why I've sometimes wondered if anyone from our world has ever been reincarnated into another one, for example, that one called Earth. I've always wanted to see that world, the heroes describe it so beautifully.
The reason that was on my mind? Well, lying in a pool of my own blood with my vision fading, there wasn't really much else to think about. I know I'm going to die, but at least I can die with some hope, no matter how small. As the last of my visions dissipated, I let out one last sigh. Here I go, I guess...
Huh. Well, I have to say this isn't exactly what I expected. It's just complete darkness. Is this death? If it is, seems like it would get boring awfully fast. No wonder no one wants to die, this is terrible. Or hold on... Could it be a sign that I'm actually going to reincarnate? I mean I'm still thinking so I can't be dead right? Surely? I could be in a womb right now and not even realize it. No wait, I'd be able to feel or hear something if that were the case and it just feels like my consciousness is just sort of here.

Hold up, from what I've read reincarnated people keep all their memories from their past life. So if that's the case does that mean they experience their entire birth consciously? ...I bet that's traumatic. "Oh by anything holy." I heard a disgusted old voice say out of nowhere. Who's that? How can anyone be here? "I forgot how much her mind wanders." The voice added letting off a sigh. How rude, there's not much to do when you're dead, what else can I do but let my mind wander?
Another long sigh pierced the nothing. Then, I felt myself begin to fall. Which, without a body, was a very unpleasant feeling. What is happening?! I tried yelling. "I'm sorry. There isn't any time, but please, believe me, you have even less." interjected a woman's voice. It was extremely beautiful, soft and calm yet also held a hint of panic. What do you mean I have even less? Who are you? What's happening to me?!
Before my questions could be answered, a bright light encompassed my entire being and my once dark surroundings became pure white, if only for a moment. "Good luck, my child." The Woman's voice whispered.
