Party Plans

What remained of the fallen cake lay splattered across the main street of the village. There were crumbs and frosting everywhere, and the chomps scrambled for these hungrily.

At the very beginning of the street where it led into the village, two chocolate figurines lay on their side, miraculously intact. These were life-sized replicas of a she-chomp and a he-chomp. No one touched them - they were a symbol of love eternal.

Usually at the end of a victorious battle fought by the hero on his quest, there is a huge feast thrown in his honor. But the village chomps had already stuffed themselves silly on the remains of their erstwhile tormentor.

The she-chomp stepped up to the village stage that was used for spring festival dances and clapped her hands.

"Listen up everyone!"

Most of the chomps lay prone on the ground, clutching their bellies and groaning from having eaten too much.

"To celebrate this day and to honor the chomp that made it all possible, we will host a Jiggle Dance-Off tonight!"

Several chomps sat up on hearing this, the excitement shining in their eyes.

"What's that?" Asked the protagonist chomp.

The mustachioed husband-chomp to be twirled his moustaches as he gave the low down.

"It's a dance competition to see who jiggles their jiggles the best. Traditionally held after a village wedding, we're making an exception in your honor and preponing it this time."

"They say the winner is always lucky in love," said a young chompina butting into the conversation wistfully.

"The prize this time", the bride-to-be chomp on the stage continued, "will be this chocolate statue from the summit of the wedding cake!"

The crowd gasped in awe as they coveted the sculpture of a he-chomp and a she-chomp touching butts, frozen in chocolate.
