-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day of the explosion - Temple
Almost everything was going according to plan
Her family was at the temple, the bomb was ready, and her safety measure worked fine
Alice even managed to steal research materials from her sister without problems or lead that could take it to her.
As for why she tried to take it, there were a couple of reasons. First, it helped proves she was serious about everything she was planning to do and it also worked as a bargaining chip in case someone tried to stab her in the back. If they kill her, they wouldn't get the last research from a genius magician never seen in history before
And she wasn't worried her sister would go to her room and see stuff missing since she use it as a storage area and spend most of the time and the lab in the palace or the magic university. Aria wasn't even sure she slept
If she had one little eventuality, it would be her big brother that she loved sooooo much
The idiot felt in an accident again, so he couldn't attend the ceremony, saving himself from a quick death
Well, if she used even 2% of her brain power, she would realise that he did it on purpose, the problem was, she REALLY didn't care about him. If it wasn't for the "angelic" front she used, she wouldn't even remember his existence. Would you even care if your neighbour cause explosions constantly to miss work?nope, you would complain how noisy your neighbour was
It was the same for her. She didn't like that she had to change her plans, but she didn't care enough to find out why he did it. Why would she? Alice surpassed him at the age of 5, and he hasn't done anything remarkable since them, so why should she pay attention to him?
Anyways, she now had to change plans thanks to the idiot, so she may as well take advantage of it
Instead of blaming the elves or dwarves, she would blame the prince, and with the help from the Zergeit empire, she would reclaim the throne
Later, when she had confidence in taking down the elves or dwarves, she would make an excuse and invade them
Simple
How hard could it be?
7 days after the explosion - Hiding Place
Really hard
Really really reallllly hard
How low was his reputation that convincing the people that he did it be harder than kill a family of monsters?
Seriously. It reached such point that he could be considered a monster of infamy
She paid people to speak badly about him, put seeds all around town telling stuff like it should be him who did it or stuff like that, but almost no one brought it
Thanks to his stupid blue face, no one could believe that he could do something so complicated like killing that family of monsters
Hell, even taking care of Jorge when he luckily managed to charm the priestess and save his life had been easier than the idiot
Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings.
It reached a point where Alice was even considering use Jorge as the escape goat and just kill the prince, instead of just keeping him in a cell, but she didn't want to admit her big brother beat her at something
Her only choice was to change the angle. Instead of just saying he did it, the rumor should say that he was actually a genius and was playing dumb
She knew it was far fetched, and there was no way if was possible, but people liked that kind of stories so it should sell
Even though Alice almost laughed her a-s off the moment she thought that idea
How could that idiot actually have a functional brain?
14 days after the explosion - Zergeit Capital
Alice had to go to the Zergeit empire since she had to announce her marriage to the Zergeit prince while rallying the citizens to her "honorable cause" against her evil brother
And if the information from her spies was true, everything was going according to plan
Her brother Jorge was still in captivity and a protest would go in the capital the next day against the prince
For the looks of things, the mass bought the idea that the idiot could fool everyone for years and actually be a criminal mastermind
She still smiled at the idiocy of the idea
Her only problem now would be Jorge
Should she kill him, or did he had some use?
The problem was, he was a time bomb or more like a honey trap
His ability to conquer everything that moves was a dangerous one. Even Alice respected him a little since she learned a few technics from him
It was a waste to kill him, but it was too dangerous to be left alone
What to do, what to do
18 days after the explosion - Zergeit Capital
Well, everything was going to hell
The prince stopped the rebellion and it's turned out that Jorge wasn't actually imprisoned
For one part, the idiot managed by some miracle to persuade the crowd against rebelling. Alice didn't know how he did it, but she was sure he got lucky or the help from someone
And that someone was Jorge for sure
The timing fits since he managed to charm the trained assassins(that shouldn't have feelings) and set free
But not only did he accomplished to be set free, he even managed to convince them to lie for him and tell her he was still a prisoner while he went back to the kingdom
How incompetent can these assassins be? they were a disgrace to their profession in Alice opinion
Of course, she instantly got rid of them after finding out. No point in keeping traitors alive. The only thing she regretted was that they didn't care, they died with a satisfactory smile
She had to admit Jorge was truly a monster, wich made her smile. It would make beating the crap out of him more satisfying in the end
