Elena didn't know how much time had passed since she got the news, and she didn't actually care

All she did all day was wake up, get dressed, eat something, do some exercises for her physiotherapy and look outside at nothing

She cried her first few days, of course, and she then wanted to run away from the villa and confirm if he was truly dead

Sadly, she was too weak to go out

It was in a sunny day that a carriage sudden arrived at the villa

At the beginning, Elena would look at any new carriage or even a messenger in a horse, hoping that they would bring news, but one can only get their hope soo many times before they finally give up

And Elena was no different, she watched the carriage for a second, and kept doing her exercises like she did every day

So she kept doing them like always and decided do ignore whatever came in it since it was probably something from her father to try to cheer her up

But when she heard a voice she recognised, and  thought she would never hear again, she couldn't stop herself, and instantly turn her head in hope of hearing right, and not been some kind of fantasy or twisted joke

What she found was a young 15 years old kid, with long black hair,  dressed in the typical imperial clothes, usually worn by the empire. He was looking around with a worried face and a booked of flowers on his hand

But as soon as she looked at his eyes, he looked back at her and with a smile, he waved with his empty hand

So she started running to him

She didn't even think about it, she just started running

And when prince saw it, his first reaction was to protect his stomach and grit his teeth

But instead of getting a punch like usual, she hugged him while crying on his chaste
