Qin Yan and Yu Ji walked several meters apart in the stone room, and suddenly the sound of a crying baby came from somewhere. Qin Yan, who was in the front, felt a chill in his heart and turned around to find that Yu Ji, who had just been behind him, was nowhere to be seen.
"My consciousness is being affected, the monster is coming." Qin Yan thought to himself, feeling dizzy in his head. He focused his attention on his surroundings, and eerie laughter echoed from somewhere nearby. Qin Yan suddenly saw a large number of strange creatures of all kinds appearing around him.
"These must all be my illusions, but the actual monster should also be among them." Qin Yan shook his head, trying to stay alert. The group of monsters rushed towards him, launching attacks simultaneously. Qin Yan quickly dodged their attacks and wielded his trident to strike at the creatures. He noticed that most of the creatures did not dodge his attacks.
"Hmm, these monsters pose no threat to me." Qin Yan remembered the creatures that did not dodge his attacks and shifted his focus away from them, continuing to attack other creatures. While attacking a wolf-like creature, he noticed it shifted its body slightly to avoid his blade's attack.
"Could it be this one?" Qin Yan pretended not to notice the wolf and continued to attack other creatures. The wolf lunged directly at Qin Yan from behind, aiming to bite his neck.
"Waiting for you!" Just then, Qin Yan turned around and slashed at the wolf, with a loud "crack" sound as the blade struck the wolf's body.
Qin Yan felt his surroundings blur, and the other monsters around him disappeared into thin air. The wolf also transformed into a strange creature with the appearance of a white sheep but a human-like face. Its mouth was as wide as a bowl, filled with sharp teeth like a tiger, looking extremely eerie and terrifying.
"Watch how I deal with you!" Qin Yan raised his spear, preparing to attack the strange creature. The creature opened its mouth and let out a sharp, piercing cry. Qin Yan immediately felt dizzy and weak, unable to launch an attack. The creature then exhaled a murky mist towards Qin Yan's face.
"Here we go again..." Qin Yan felt his head spinning, his body swaying, almost falling. The environment around him began to change, and he felt as if he had returned to his childhood. He stood on a crowded street where people were looking at him strangely, familiar yet unfamiliar faces.
"Look, that idiot over there." A nearby teenager sneered at Qin Yan.
"Hahaha, poor guy, lunatic, madman." Another teenager ran up behind Qin Yan and pushed him hard from behind, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground. The people around gathered around, pointing and laughing at the fallen Qin Yan, a strong sense of sadness and fear filling his heart.

"I am not the person I used to be." Despite the pain in his heart, Qin Yan lifted his head bravely to face those who mocked him, "The ridiculous ones are you, you foolish and pitiful people, laugh all you want."
After saying this, one person among the group of people showed a look of astonishment on their face, and at
"It's you!" Qin Yan's eyes flashed with determination as he lunged towards the bewildered person. As Qin Yan approached, the person let out a piercing scream.
"Damn it..." Qin Yan felt a splitting headache, as if he was in a nightmare with various strange illusions appearing before his eyes. He felt dizzy and disoriented, unable to launch an attack against the person.
A flash of red light, a red spear pierced through the person who was screaming, deeply embedding itself in their body.
Qin Yan felt a shift in his surroundings, as the other people disappeared, and a few steps ahead, a monster with a human face and a sheep's body appeared. Beside the monster, Yu Ji held a red spear deeply embedded in the creature's body.
The monster's human face showed fear as it turned towards Yu Ji, opening its mouth and inhaling deeply, as if trying to exhale a murky gas towards her.
"Trying to attack me? Not so easy!" Yu Ji's eyes flashed with determination as she leaped towards the monster. She embraced the creature, wrapping her body tightly around it, hands firmly gripping its neck. The monster struggled but could not release the gas or make any sound.
"Die!" Yu Ji's face twisted with madness and viciousness as she grabbed the monster's head, using all her strength to twist its neck. The monster flailed on the ground, trying to break free but failed. With a crisp snap, its neck was broken by Yu Ji's brute force, and its struggles weakened.
"Good, keep controlling it, don't let it escape." Qin Yan approached the monster, pulled out the red spear embedded in its body, and aimed at its heart, piercing it with precision.
The monster convulsed, its mouth opening and closing, but it could not make a sound or release gas due to its dislocated neck and Yu Ji's grip on its throat.
After minutes of convulsions and struggles, the monster finally stopped moving. Yu Ji, fearing it might be playing dead to escape, continued to hold onto its throat. After a few more minutes of no movement, Yu Ji released the monster and stood up, sighing, "The monster should be truly dead."
"Thank you, Yu Ji," Qin Yan said, thinking that he wouldn't have been able to deal with the monster without Yu Ji's help.
The fierce expression on Yu Ji's face disappeared, and she smiled at Qin Yan, "Qin Yan, how did I do just now?"
"Well, you did great, very well."
Yu Ji smiled even more happily, "So... how about the thing you promised me?"
"What thing?" Qin Yan scratched his head, pretending to be confused.
Yu Ji was taken aback for a moment, then said, "Qin Yan, you promised to spend a night with me earlier, you wouldn't want to go back on your word, would you?"
Qin Yan hesitated, he had thought Yu Ji was joking and casually agreed, not expecting her to take it seriously. He quickly said, "Did I really say that? Maybe the influence of the monster affected my judgment, so I don't remember what I said to you earlier."
Yu Ji was not fooled, seeing Qin Yan's reaction, she knew he was probably pretending to be clueless. She coldly sneered, "Qin Yan, you're going back on your word, trying to avoid your promise, aren't you?"
"It's not like that, I really don't remember. If I did say it, I should remember after a while. Anyway, let's not talk about this anymore. Go call the others, hurry up!!"
Yu Ji let out a heavy "hmph" and walked away unwillingly.
