It had been around 2 weeks since he had told everyone that he would allow strong villagers to ascend to Voidborn if the so pleased. At first they were apprehensive, but once a few stepped forwards and they realized nothing was wrong they all started trying to get stronger.
Fennen couldn't be bothered to learn their names so he didn't even ask. He was only expanding his numbers for convenience, not for company. He enjoyed being alone ever since in became fully in tune with the void and Rosa passed. Less things meant more emptiness, which was exactly what the void was about.
He had converted about 4 villagers so far, and decided he would go look for another strong villager today to convert. He decided to head by the gathering hall first. The villagers had created a place where certain tasks that needed to be finished would be posted, and they would do them for a money that the village had made up, just for simplicity.
He looked around to see if there were any noticably strong people, but he didn't see any. He decided to walk around for a little bit to clear his mind and look for somebody, two birds with one stone. That was when he heard something at the front gate. He quickly scaled the wall and looked past it, a group of about 5 armored knights, and what looked to be a courier, all on horses.

He questioned them as to what brought them here, with the courier asking them when this villages had been built. Fennen quickly realized it was probably an envoy from this lands lord, wondering about a new village that appeared. Damnit he thought, he hadn't even realized there had been people watching him. Fennen told them that the village had been made about 3 weeks ago, and then he decided to greet them at the gate. He didn't want to fight if he didn't have to.
When he opened the gate, the courier dismounted and handed him a letter. Inside was writing he couldn't read, so he asked them to just tell him what it said. The courier explained that the Lord of the region, count Greihan, wanted a meeting with him and that they were told to bring him back. He decided since he could easily escape at this point that he would go with him and see what this count wanted. He decided to head out instantly since he didn't really need to pack any supplies, and he didnt want the knights in hia village.
They headed out and started towards their destination. Making some small talk with the knights, he learned it would take about a day to reached the Counts manor which resided in a town not too far from here. They would rest overnight in a camp and be at the city, which was called Grahd, at noon. After traveling for a few hours it was starting to get dark so they decided to set up camp.
No mishaps had happened a long the way so the trip was pretty smooth so far. Fennen set up a very basic shelter, and started meditating in it. He meditated and then it was morning, far before he even realized it.
