Dollies are aliens. They are on Earth, supposedly, to research humans.

They have a barrier organism in their left hand that protects them from anything deemed harmful. Their right hand contains an offensive organism.

Barrier cannot be penetrated by guns or tank missiles. Barrier can be penetrated by thermogelling polymer. Barrier does not generate between Dolly-to-Dolly interaction (thus, Dollies can kill other Dollies). Certain people can penetrate Dolly barriers with special powers. These people are usually captured by the Dollies, rather than killed or sucked in.

Wasps:

Bug-like creatures commonly called 'Wasps'. When they sting a person, the person starts to experience rapid decay at the sight where stung. They are weak to water and are destroyed by it.

Apparently, they have something to do with the manifestation of powers in people 

Dolly types:

Pregnant Class: Non-combative scout type. Only equipped with the barrier organism in their left hand.

Pygmy Class: Offensive type. They can grow wings and fly.

Plushie Class: Rarely seen, they are extremely strong and built for combat.
