Harold's POV
All them are useless this time around. Then again, that World Class body builder easily died last mission, whereas I survived. Muscles don't protect you from everything I guess.
After Rachel and I questioned confused Newbies, testing for potential group members, we had a rough idea of their capabilities and occupation.
Among them was:
A Slim female Accountant who looked a bit younger than me and hand burn marks on her right leg and right arm. Of course I didn't ask how she got it. I don't pry unless I'm genuinely interested in something.
A Chess Champion who lost his touch. He seemed a bit out of it and looked really unkempt. Sadly he would only be a nuisance, despite us needing a strategist. It's a shame to, I need someone to control Rachel.
A slightly obese woman who owned a small laundromat. Surprisingly, she wasn't scared of me and seemed to have some backbone. Maybe if it was an easier mission, I would have considered letting her join. After all, I believe having the right mindset and character is the most important thing in these crazy missions.
A frail looking teenage boy with blond hair. Even though he was sleeping, I could tell he didn't amount to much. Plus he was short and Pale, as if he had never taken the time to go outside. It makes me wonder how he had lived his life to get that skinny. Even I, who rarely had practically never exercised, taken the time to enjoy the outdoors.
An old Farmer, who might have been a great candidate if he was 20 years younger. He also seemed to naive and trusting, for my taste. I don't expect him to survive this mission at all.
A scraggly gas station worker who smelt like drugs and looked like he was on them. I was sickened just being near him and could sense his sin quite easily. I'd be tempted to shoot his kneecaps if I had a gun on me and would rather not have to break his bones myself. I really don't want him to live and become part of the team.
A cheerleader Captain for Stanford. Despite her good looks and athletic ability, she looked heartbroken and even afraid of the other men. Sigh. Well...she definitely can't join.
A dark teen dressed completely in black. He looked a bit loony and wouldn't take his hands out of his pockets. Since he seemed uncooperative and rebellious, I decided to ignore him. I don't like troublemakers.
An aspiring musician who for kicked out his band for being a control freak. He was tall, lanky, and had that hippie look. Rachel wont tolerate a control freak like him, so I guess he's probably out.
A foreign Origami master whose store ran out of business despite her renowned fame. She was at least 50 and I could tell she was favoring her left leg. I knew shes a goner.
A young marine Biologist who was charged with Animal Abuse due to a spectacular Misunderstanding. Well she didn't seem the type to hurt anything. But that's exactly what we don't want in this type of situation.
A self Proclaimed Houdini in the making. He wore an outfit identifying himself as a magician and when I asked him to perform a trick he told me he'd rather not, which frustrated me a tiny bit. Am I that intimidating with this devil mutation?
Utterly useless...
Me: why did this have to happen on a 14 man mission.
Rachel: well if any of them survive, we can decide whether or not they will join us. Until then, follow me Harold. It's time to kill some Dollies.
Rachel walked straight out the door, not waiting for me to follow.
Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
Me: ha... She left them with no hesitation just like last time
And like that I quickly headed out the door to follow Rachel, who would definitely leave me behind if I wasted her time and chances to kill Dollies.

Pan's POV
They just left us...
It took five minutes but people eventually calmed down.
Half of the remaining people wanted to collaborate and soon left after.
This included the Cheerleader, Accountant, Marine Biologist as one group and the magician, chess champion, and the laundromat Lady as another group.
The rest went left on their own, leaving me as the only person left in the room.
I didn't mind, but I wasn't too thrilled either. With my athletic ability, I was probably no better than that Origami Master who couldn't run well. Sure, I could run, but I had no stamina. It's exactly why my room was so close to the testing room, back home.
After taking look outside, I saw no sign of the others, so I finally headed outside. I could hear screams from all directions and some houses had been partially destroyed nearby.I stayed particularly cautious after seeing a 15 foot hole in a concrete building's wall.
What in the world causes a hole like that... I could tell it was caused by something unnatural.
It took me awhile, but I had finally traveled far enough to see what had caused those screams. Down the hill, A car had crashed into the side of a building and a passenger, despite being terribly injured had started to crawl away from the wreckage.
Injured passenger: Shit. Shit. SHIT. SHIT. SHITTTT. I Don't want to die!!!!!!
10 seconds later, a strange, giant figure with wings descended from the sky.
Injured passenger: STAY AWA....
Before the man could finish his sentence, the strange figure quickly aimed a weird looking gun at him, which caused him to fly towards the gun and get sucked into it. Bloody mist appeared as his body disappeared into the strange gun and On the other end a spaghetti like paste came out.
No way... That'ssss... A Dolly?!!!!!!!!! My head started working overtime and I started to panic. Am I going to die.
What else could it be besides a Dolly, it was a Giant Doll like figure with a wicked smile on its fake face. It definitely was a creature who wanted to hunt down and kill humans like me.
The large bush I was hiding in felt oh so inadequate now. I was too scared to breath. That thing could catch up to a speeding car.
The Dolly then turned to the car and repeated the same process to the car's dead driver.
*sniff*sniff*
Why me... I just wanted a normal life, not this.
A voice: hey, need a hand there?
I turned to see who the voice was, not caring whether I was seen or not at this point.
Teen boy: Name's Kendall. If you want my help, you'll have to trust me. It's the only way we will make it out of this place.
Kendall seemed a bit crazy before... I'm not sure if I want to trust him...
As If on cue, the Dolly finished processing the rest of the people in the car and turned towards us. It was perhaps 100 meters away, yet I could tell it was looking straight at me. Maybe trusting Kendall wouldn't hurt just this once.
Me: sure, sure. Just tell me what to do.
And so, the Dolly rushed towards us at incredible speed.
Kendall: that's easy. Just follow me and try to avoid the wasps.
Me: Wasps? What Wasps?
