CHAPTER - II

When Alan drifted into unconsciousness, he found himself engulfed in a dark dream filled with pain and despair.

Painful memories of his family's destruction during the war caused by Jin and Kazuya flooded his mind, and he couldn't help but blame God for the unfair power imbalances that had led to such devastation. Making some individuals strong beyond imagination while leaving someone like him powerless before them, so helpless that he wasn't even able to protect his only family.

Thoughts after thoughts plunged Alan into the depths of his despair, he saw himself as drowning in water, sinking deeper and deeper with open, still eyes until a silhouette of a woman with a halo atop her head appeared above him.

Shrouded in deep blue darkness. Despite her mysterious appearance, Alan's pained soul compared the figure to divine origin, a saviour in his time of need, a hand to pull him out of this trench of sadness.

Feeling something calming inside him, Alan slowly extended his hand and reached out to her, and just as her silhouette her touch felt divine as she began pulling him out from the water, and with a final splash and chilling breeze, Alan's dream shattered as he woke to find himself in Alisa's secure embrace.

Opening his eyes to reality with a deep rasp, Alan coughed up water, blinking his drenched eyes again and again, struggling to regain his bearings when suddenly Alisa's concerned voice cut through the haze of his disorientation.

"Alan, are you okay?" she asked, her voice laced with both concern and relief.

Gasping for breath, Alan managed a weak nod with broken words,

"Thank....you, ....Alisa..," he rasped. "I don't know.......—-hufff—-what... I would have done without you...!"

Alisa smiled reassuringly in response before moving her gaze ahead,

"You're welcome. I'm just glad I was able to get to you in time."

As they soared over the water, Alan' s gaze slowly began to widen as he couldn't tear his eyes away from the destruction surrounding them.

"This is terrible," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. "All of this destruction..."

Tearing through the air with her jetpacks, Alisa nodded solemnly on Alan's words adding her own,

"I know, Alan. But we'll get through this. We have to stay strong."

The sun had already gone down, giving way to the rising moon as after some more moments of flight, they touched down in Shibuya Square, now reshaped into the illuminated mountains of destruction from the impact of the helicarrier.

Alisa slowly lowered Alan on the ground, as both of them darted their eyes around through the Soldiers, Medics and Relief workers of Violet Industries and Rebel Army. Suddenly Alan's eyes stopped on approaching Lee and Lars, who greeted him,

"Over here..w——"

Lars began to call out to them but his greeting was cut in mid when Alisa wasted no time jumping on him to check for injuries before exhaling in relief when she found none.

Alan smiled on the antic, before Lee approached him, concern was evident on his face,

"Are you injured, Alan?" he asked, his voice filled with urgency.

Alan took a deep breath and attempted to take a step forward but suddenly winced in piercing pain, realising he couldn't move his leg.

"I think I might have hurt my leg," he admitted, holding onto his calf, his voice tinged with worry.

Wasting no time Lee swiftly produced a device resembling a phone with holographic screen and quickly scanned Alan's leg, his brow furrowing as he examined the results being produced on the screen.

"It seems you've fractured your calf bone," he stated, his tone calm yet grave. "We need to get you to the medic ship immediately."

Alan nodded, feeling a mixture of fear and relief at the prospect of receiving medical attention and the support of hand that Lee produced,

"Thank you, Lee," he said, grateful for the reassurance as Lee handed Alan over to a guard before turning to say something to Lars.

But Alan didn't pay attention to them as the guard escorted him to the medic ship when suddenly Alan saw something which heightened the sense of unease that he felt lingering in the air.

He caught a glimpse of Jin Kazama lying motionless and covered in bandages with needles and narrow pipes attached to his body, sending in some green hue fluid inside. Sealed beneath a dome-shaped bed, escorted inside the same plane he was being led to.

The scene made Alan's heart clenched with emotions of dread, which became evident in his gaze.

"He's alive, Alan," Lee reassured him, coming from behind, patting him gently on the shoulder. "Only in a temporary shock coma. He'll recover."

Alan nodded, trying to push aside his worries as both men entered inside the ship. As the door of the medic ship began closing up, the apprehension in Alan's eyes found its way into his words,

"What do we do now?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

To which Lee responded with soft expression laced with hope, "We have a plan, Alan. We'll get through this together."

And with that the door sealed them inside the ship as the tremors and sounds signalled the starting engine, before the ship rose from the ground and took off into the unknown, leaving Alan to ponder what lay ahead for them all.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSPACE...

Lars's ship entered UN airspace, the pilot soldier informed him of their impending arrival to which Lars nodded in response. "Prepare to land," he commanded, his voice steady despite the lingering tension in the air.

Alisa, coming to his side, met Lars's gaze fixed on the screen broadcasting UN headquarters. Holding a note of concern in her voice she interjected.

"Are you sure about this, Lars?" she asked, her brow furrowing. "You know the rebel army has been in conflict with the UN."

Lars turned to face her, his expression determined. "That's precisely why we've brought help," he replied cryptically.

Suddenly, following after light footsteps, a familiar figure emerged from their side, her presence radiating with a glimmering yet cunning aura. It was Anna Williams, her eyes flashing with a hint of mischief as she placed her hand on Lars's shoulders and addressed Alisa.

"Don't worry, sweety," she said, her voice dripping with confidence. "I know my way through the hearts of hard-headed men."

"LARS?!!! What is she doing here..??!!"

Alisa's frustration boiled over as she yelled out, her voice filled with exasperation and disbelief at his decision as she continued,

"You know both of them are nothing but cunning opportunists..!!"

Lars remained calm on Alisa's outburst, removing Anna's hand from his shoulder, who remained unaffected by Alisa's glare and emotions.

Lars cupped Alisa's face, moving her eyes towards him. Taking a deep breath he reassured her with words in a tone that explained the gravity of their situation,

"I understand your emotions, Alisa but we need their skills right now. Both of them are crucial for the plan."

"Both of them..?" Alisa asked with a soft tone and expression.

Lars smiled lightly at Alisa before replying,

"Both of them."

* ** **** ******* **** ** *

Rays of rising sun painted high mountains of Kyoto golden as Nina scaled one of the peaks with her son Steve Fox Williams following close behind, complaining about the pain in his arms from the climb and expressing frustration. "Mom, this is ridiculous," he grumbled, rubbing his sore arm. "I don't see why we have to climb this stupid mountain."

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Nina sighed on his words, her patience wearing thin.

"Steve, this is important," she insisted, her tone firm. "This holds the key to our mission, and we need to find them."

"But how do you even know this is the right mountain?" Steve retorted, frustration evident in his voice.

Nina shot down a steely glance at him, "Because I've done my research, Steve," she replied, her voice tinged with exasperation. "Trust me, this is the one."

After some metres of trek Nina grabbed on the edge of the cliff, before she skillfully made a leap above with her unwavering confidence.

Steve rolled his eyes on the scene, feeling a sense of awe with a pang of annoyance on his mother's skill.

"Show-off," he muttered under his breath, before grabbing on the edge and following suit with a leap of his own.

Landing on the cliff, Nina's stern and focused eyes met with a veil of dense wilderness in front of her. Seeing this, Steve behind her made a smearing remark. "See, I knew this was a waste of time."

Nina paid him no mind as she pressed forward. With a flick of her wrist, she pulled an EMP disturber from her pocket, activating it and piercing through the dense forest that lay ahead. With her confident steps a spectacle took place as the supposed forest began transforming and deteriorating into a wall of electrical currents and waves.

"Watch and learn, kid," Nina taunted as she moved inside the wall with Steve following behind with a look of surprise and shock on his face.

As they moved past it entering into a lush green clearing with patches of brown ground, they were greeted by the sight of a small village bathed in a floral and enchanting aura, a stark contrast to the wilderness they had just traversed.

Instead of taking in the beauty of the scene like Steve, Nina quickly retrieved her transmitter and relayed their discovery.

"We have found the Devil's Den," she announced.

A voice crackled over the transmitter in response. "Excellent work, Agent Nina. We are entering the air just above you, preparing to land. Proceed with caution."

Meanwhile, aboard the ship that began becoming visible, hovering above Nina and Steve, Lee sat in the pilot seat with Alan, his right leg covered in a cast, sitting by his side in his wheelchair positioned next to the incubator containing Jin Kazama.

Together, they watched as the wall of electrical currents and waves deteriorated, revealing the mystical Hachijo Village below.

Curiosity and awe mesmerised Alan's eyes as he turned to Lee with a questioning look in between,

"What is this place?" he asked.

But Lee's expression remained opposite of Alan, which grew serious as he met Alan's gaze. "It's the birthplace of the Devil," he replied solemnly.

With little to no sound, Lee landed the ship just before the edge of the cliff.

As the door of the ship moved down, he gestured for Alan to keep an eye on Jin Kazama, Alan nodded in agreement, given his immobility, not having much role in the situation. But despite being shut inside the secure ship, Alan held the advantage of the drone view from the ship, allowing him to see the broadcast of everything that transpired outside.

Lee joined Nina and Steve, and together they proceeded to enter the village. But as soon as they set foot in the village, both Nina and Lee sensed a sudden shift in the air, their instincts kicked in and they instinctively assumed fighting stances.

In the blink of an eye, Lee found himself with a kunai pressed against his neck, a tall figure looming behind him. Nina reacted swiftly, retrieving her gun and aiming it at the attacker. However, before she could act, a voice interrupted, warning against any rash actions.

"I wouldn't do that, If I were you."

Alan, watching from the ship, clenched the handrest of his wheelchair in rising anticipation as a woman with a petite build, dressed in a white and red kimono, approached them. Her skin was as pale as snow, and Alan couldn't help but feel a sense of dreadful intrigue at her presence.

Seeing her approach Lee chuckled, his tone calm despite the situation. "We come in peace," he declared, hoping to defuse the tension.

The attacker sniffed disdainfully at Lee's neck, his expression squinting with suspicion. "Mishima..." he muttered under his breath.

Getting close to the group the woman gestured gracefully, summoning more individuals who shared the attacker's menacing appearance, out of thin air. Each one held a weapon, their eyes fixed on the group with a mixture of suspicion and hostility.

Lee, maintaining his composure despite the looming threat, gestured Nina to lower her gun, as he spoke with a smile,

"No need for hostility, as I said, we come in peace..."

However his words failed to ease the tension hanging in the air, as the woman replied to Lee's words with a sharp grace,

"No Mishima ever transpires peace," she declared, her voice laced with skepticism and disdain. "They are harbingers of destruction and mayhem."

Lee met her gaze with unwavering resolve, his tone firm as he countered her statement. "I must disagree," he replied confidently. "While my past may suggest otherwise, I have long abandoned that legacy.

Destruction is the last thing I desire. Instead, we have come seeking help and support for the upcoming calamity. I'm certain that you, as perceptive as you are beautiful, are aware of its origins."

The woman chuckled at Lee's words as her expression betrayed a hint of amusement. Crossing her arms, she gestured towards the ship, her eyes gleaming with an ominous red hue. "I am aware of the favour you speak of," she declared, her voice laced with a sense of finality. "But it is futile to save him. He has tainted the purity of the Devil Gene, and death looms around the corner, making any delay to his impending demise is unnecessary."

Lee clenched his teeth in frustration as retorted at her words while maintaining his calm,

"C' mon, don't be like that, he is our final hope to defeat Kazuya h—"

But before he could finish his appeal, the attacker behind him tightened his grip and spat out words filled with disgust and anger.

"Silence, you wretched Mishima! Speak of our God any lower, and we shall feast on you tonight."

Lee's frustration began climbing onto his face, but Nina, seeing the situation slipping out of hand, gestured subtly to Steve. Catching her cue, Steve nodded in confirmation.

The woman approached Lee, her demeanour shifting as she raised his chin with her fingers, scarlet of her eyes increasing with her words,

"The Doomsday will arrive," she proclaimed, her voice echoing with a sense of foreboding.

"And he shall cleanse this world, ridding away the weak and reigning over the strong. Your futile efforts end here. You shall all die, and that weak one shall become an example of treachery for the Hachijo Clan and anyone who dares to cross the Satanus."

Lee's frustration turned into unwavering conviction, meeting her gaze,

"This won't end well for you," he vowed, his eyes filled with determination.

The woman's grin twisted into a snarl of anger as she barked orders to her soldiers.

"Slay the wretched and bring the weak one to the village!"

In a swift motion, Nina fired at the attacker holding Lee hostage, forcing him to release his grip. Steve seized the opportunity, shouting, "Come on out, guys!"

With a roar, a humvee burst through the dense jungle, driven by Paul Phoenix and Marshall Law. Forest Law leaped from the roof of the vehicle, landed skillfully on the battlefield and assumed his fighting stance, followed by the rest of the group.

Alan watched the chaos unfold from the safety of the ship, his heart pounding with anticipation as he turned his gaze to Jin, hope for his awakening rising in his heart with each moment.

As the tension in the air reached its peak, the attackers and the woman made their move, launching towards the group with deadly intent. Lee and Nina swiftly turned and raced towards the ship, but their path was blocked by the attacker who was holding Lee hostage earlier.

With anger blazing in his eyes, he confronted Nina, his voice dripping with menace. "Do you know what happens to interjectors in our village?" he snarled, his movements a blur as he lunged towards her, battle cry ringing out. "They get flayed alive!"

Nina deftly blocked his attack with her gun, her expression smug as she retorted, "Well, I'd like to see you try."

With a nod to Lee, she urged him to move forward while she dealt with the attacker.

Lee wasted no time, resuming his dash towards the ship, only to find the woman waiting for him. She drew a twin scythes from her kimono with a menacing battle cry before lunging at Lee. And the fight erupted in a flurry of punches and slashes, the ground quaking with the force of their blows.

Meanwhile, Alan watched from the safety of the ship, desperation filled his eyes and unexplainable logic of his own filled his limbs as he started pounding on the incubator holding Jin. With each futile yell, his desperation grew, and he shifted his gaze to the screen, where the fighters battled with incredible intensity and superhuman speed.

But as more attackers from the village joined the fray, the group found themselves outnumbered and overwhelmed. Lee suffered a grievous wound to his shin from the woman's scythe, leaving him lying on the ground in agony. Which distracted Nina, as she was caught blindsided by a blow from her opponent and was sent tumbling towards the cliff's edge.

One by one, the rest of the group fell to the relentless onslaught of their foes. Steve, Paul, Marshall, and Forest Law were beaten into submission, leaving them at the mercy of their captors.

With the group defeated and lying beneath the feet of their opponents, helpless, their leader began to move towards the idle ship, her eyes gleaming with triumph.

Seeing her reflection closing in, Alan's cries of desperation loudened but futilely fell on deaf ears as he continued to beat on the incubator holding Jin.

And suddenly his eyes were torn away from Jin when he heard a continuous screeching of metal coming from the door, which began getting sliced through by a peaking blade, scythe of the woman.

After weakening the door and filling Alan's heart with wheezing fear, she kicked through the door of the ship. She grinned behind the mist and debris of her destruction while desperate and angst calls of Alan's friends echoed behind her.

Suddenly, the woman's attention turned towards Alan, who was relentlessly pounding on the incubator, unawaringly guiding her towards her target. She moved at blurring speed and quickly kicked Alan away, sending him crashing to the ship's cockpit.

Alan winced and groaned in pain, laying on his back, he watched with a desperate and horrified gaze as the woman approached Jin's incubator with a malevolent gaze, her dark lips spewing out venom, declaring,

"This is the end for you, Chosen one. Your heart shall decorate the throne of the Satanus...! Now die with honor."

With a swift motion, she raised her right arm as it burned through her kimono, transforming demonically, imbued with smoke and radiant energy.

Her nails extended out into razor-sharp claws resembling those of a demon. Holding her malevolent grin and gaze at unconscious Jin, she prepared to strike, intent on plunging it into the chest of Jin.

Alan watched the scene unfold before him with helpless teary eyes, resigning to what seemed like their inevitable fate. Not able to bear the supposed inevitable, he closed his eyes in despair.

But within the next second, his moment of acceptance was interrupted by the sound of shattering glass, and ear piercing scream abruptly halting into choked groans. Alan opened his eyes again, he witnessed a miraculous sight - Jin Kazama had finally awoken.

Alan's eyes widened in disbelief as Jin shattered the glass dome and seized the woman by her neck. Her struggles and writhing proved futile against his iron grip.

What followed made Alan close his eyes once more in disdain, a sudden flash of light halting his vision. With a menacing glare and a grumbling roar, Jin unleashed a powerful beam directly at her face, halting her squirming and subjecting her to the full force of his attack.

Opening his eyes again, Alan witnessed the woman's head enveloped in the blinding brightness of Jin's laser. But just as it seemed her fate was sealed, one of her soldiers kicked Jin's grip open, freeing their leader. She was swiftly whisked away by another aide, leaving the interfering attacker to bear the brunt of Jin's wrath. With another furious roar, Jin obliterated him instantly with the force of his beam.

Terror gripped Alan, but newfound hope surged within him as he struggled towards the intercom of the pilot seat,

"Everyone...C'mon!!! Now's our chance...!!!" Alan announced from the intercom, urging the group outside to play upon the fated moment.

Alan turned and watched as Jin's dark wings materialised and he flew out of the ship, unleashing enraged laser beams in a frenzied display of power, providing cover for Lee and the others to escape.

With the first laser striking the attackers, chaos erupted all around. Paul Phoenix, with his immense strength, hoisted Lee onto his shoulders, carrying him towards the ship.

Forest and Marshal Law moved out of the grip of their captors, they dodged through the lasers, following closely behind, fending off upcoming attackers with their martial prowess.

Meanwhile, Jin Kazama, in his enraged state, continued unleashing devastating beams of energy on the ground below. Obliterating their adversaries while sending the remaining attackers fleeing back to the village.

However the laser spectacle didn't last long as the strain of his transformation suddenly took its toll on Jin, and he lost consciousness, reverting back to his normal state in mid air.

Nearly plummeting to his death, Jin was saved by the quick reflexes of Steve Fox Williams, who caught him just in time.

"Got you my man...! Steve sneered With a smirk, before quipping about Jin's weight. As after a swift dash he leaped inside the ship, joining the others in their escape.

Nina moved quickly, pushing Alan aside from the pilot seat as she took control of the ship. She quickly started the engine, getting in the air swiftly before flying away. Everyone tumbled on the floor with deep breaths while Lee dragged himself on the Co-pilot seat.

Alan managing himself back on his wheelchair, watched as Lee produced the same mobile device from his pocket. He tore his pants away from his shin, scanning a deep gash with the device. But Alan's focus and amazement rose even more when this time the device sprayed something of green hue on Lee's wound which covered it and stopped the bleeding.

Lee groaned softly as he raised his gaze to looking at Alan, putting his flair, he smiled reassuringly at him with a nod to which Alan reciprocated with the same.

Minutes later, a video call came through on the control screen, and Nina accepted it. It was Lars on the other end, and after a quick assessment of the situation, he commented, "By the looks of it, I'm guessing it didn't go as planned?"

Lee, masking his pain with a smug demeanor, replied, "Just an average day in the life of Lee Chaolan. How did it go there?"

Lars responded, "Considering the help we brought, I'd say it went as well as it could have."

Anna, joining Lars from behind, teased Nina with a smirk, "Guess company does affect the outcome of your plans, am I right, Lars?"

Nina clenched her teeth in frustration and promptly switched call to audio only. Lars then asked Lee, "So what's next?"

Lee replied, his voice tinged with fatigue, "Let's meet at the Dojo."
