CHAPTER - I

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an orange glow over the city, Alan Walker sat alone in his dimly lit apartment. He gazed out the window, lost in thought, as memories of the final battle between Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima played through his mind like a haunting melody. The destruction, the chaos, the raw power unleashed in their epic clash—it was a sight he would never forget.

Lost in his memories, Alan's trance was broken by a sudden knock on his door. His heart skipped a beat as he glanced nervously towards the entrance.

Who could it be at this hour? He hadn't been expecting anyone, especially not after everything that had transpired.

Slowly rising from his seat, Alan approached the door with cautious steps. His hand trembled slightly as he reached out to grasp the doorknob, uncertainty gnawing at his mind.

With a deep breath, he gathered his courage and swung the door open.

Standing before him was a figure shrouded in darkness, their features obscured by the dim light of the hallway. Alan squinted, trying to make out the stranger's face, but it remained hidden in the shadows.

"Who... who are you?" Alan's voice wavered, betraying his unease.

As Alan's eyes adjusted to the dim light, the figure before him began to take shape, and to his surprise, he recognized the unmistakable presence of Lee Chaolan. Lee's charismatic flair and aura began filling the room, slowly dispelling the tension that had hung in the air moments before.

"Lee Chaolan," Alan greeted, his nerves calming down, his voice tinged with a mixture of surprise and curiosity. "What brings you here?"

Lee flashed a charming smile, his eyes sparkling with intrigue. "Ah, Alan, always a pleasure," he replied, his voice smooth as silk. "I'm here because I need your help once again."

A sudden emotion filled Alan as he raised an eyebrow, a hint of skepticism creeping into his expression. "My help? You do realise I'm not your hired help, right?"

Lee chuckled, a twinkle of amusement dancing in his eyes. "Of course, my dear boy, I'm well aware of that," he said. "But trust me when I say, what's about to unfold next is something you won't want to miss."

With a theatrical flourish, Lee gestured towards the hallway, his invitation hanging in the air like a tantalising promise.

Alan hesitated for a moment, his mind racing with uncertainty. But being a reporter, deep down, he knew that he couldn't resist the allure of Lee's mysterious proposition.

With a silent nod, Alan made his decision, stepping out into the hallway to follow Lee into the unknown.

As Alan and Lee stepped outside the apartment building, Alan's eyes widened in astonishment at the sight before him. The sleek, futuristic vessel hovered effortlessly above his apartment building, a testament to Lee Chaolan's extravagant tastes and resources. Despite his surprise, Alan couldn't help but acknowledge that such a grand entrance was to be expected from someone as flamboyant as Lee Chaolan, the adoptive son of Heihachi Mishima and CEO of Violet Infrastructure Industries.

They made their way towards the retractable pulleys awaiting them, their entrance to the helicarrier.

Alan couldn't suppress a sense of discomfort at the ostentatious display. He glanced nervously at Lee, who seemed unfazed by his unease.

"These pulleys have just the right amount of flair, wouldn't you agree?" Lee remarked with a smirk, his eyes glinting mischievously as he grasped on one of the pulleys.

Seeing no other choice, Alan forced a weak smile, grabbing tightly onto the other pulley, as his unease lingered.

With swift whoosh, they were sucked above into the ship, Alan became disoriented momentarily, before the inside of the helicarrier greeted his eyes.

As they took steps inside, Lee gestured for Alan to make himself at home.

"You'll be staying here for a while," Lee stated casually, prompting Alan to sputter in surprise but before he could form a coherent response, his attention was drawn by the sound of familiar voices,

“Mr. Alan…!!”

“Alan-san…! Welcome..!”

Turning towards the sources, he saw Lars Alexandersson, the leader of the Rebel Army, and Alisa Bosconovitch, an advanced android and loyal companion to Lars. Despite their unexpected presence, Alan couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope at the sight of these.

As Lars and Alisa greeted Alan with utmost professionalism, he attempted to reciprocate in kind. However, amidst the comforting waves of nostalgia and the strange sense of security he felt in this unfamiliar environment, Alan couldn't help but come off as awkward,

“Hey!! You two!!! Long time no show—I mean saw—ehhh!!! I am glad to make your acquaintance…!” Alan bowed nervously, feeling extreme embarrassment on his words.

Lars and Alisa, however, merely exchanged mild chuckles, their demeanour unwaveringly composed.

Before Alan could even begin to apologise for his apparent clumsiness, his gaze was drawn to a silhouette at a distance behind Lars, seated casually on a nearby crate.

Sensing Alan's scrutiny, Lars turned to acknowledge the presence of the mysterious figure and proceeded to provide an explanation.

"That's Jin Kazama," Lars stated matter-of-factly, his voice carrying a weight of reverence and respect. "He's our best hope in defeating Kazuya Mishima."

Alan's heart skipped a beat as he took in the sight of Jin Kazama, who stood up and turned after noticing their gazes. Despite the distance between them, Alan could feel an overwhelming sense of intimidation wash over him. Jin's towering figure, his soul-piercing gaze, and the unmistakable resemblance to his father, Kazuya Mishima, which sent a shiver down Alan's spine. It was the same feeling of fright and discomforting pressure that he had experienced upon encountering Kazuya for the first time which now gripped him once more.

As Jin approached them with measured strides, Alan couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension mingled with awe. There was an undeniable aura of calm confidence emanating from Jin, despite the gravity of the situation at hand.

With each step he took, the intensity of Alan's intimidation grew, leaving him grappling with the realisation that he now stood face to face with the prodigal son of Kazuya Mishima, a figure whose destiny was inexorably intertwined with the fate of the Mishima Bloodline feud.

Standing in front of Jin Kazama, Alan mustered all his courage to approach him with a handshake and a polite yet respectful introduction.

To his surprise, any lingering intimidation melted away as Jin clasped his hand with a firm yet gentle grip, his expression that of a gentle giant.

"Nice to meet you, Alan," Jin said with a slight smile, his voice calm and reassuring. "I apologise for any inconvenience caused by my uncle, Lee."

Alan's astonishment grew as Jin expressed his apologies on behalf of Lee. Without missing a beat, Alan returned the gesture with a respectful nod, his admiration for Jin's legendary status evident in his demeanour .

—BWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!”

Before Alan could finish his words, a sudden buzzer pierced the air, drawing everyone's attention upwards to the command centre of the helicarrier. Lee looked down at them from behind a glass wall, his face holding eerie dread as his voice boomed over the intercom with his characteristic flair, commanding everyone to gather for an urgent briefing.

"Devil's made it to the nest," Lee announced, his voice carrying a sense of urgency. "All of you, report to the command centre immediately."

                        **   *   **   *   **

As they entered the command centre, the air was thick with tension and anticipation. In the middle hovering above a metal holotable, a holographic screen illuminated the room, displaying the unmistakable silhouette of Kazuya's helicopter entering the airspace of Shibuya Prefecture. Lee wasted no time in explaining the gravity of the situation to the assembled group.

"This is our only chance to defeat him," Lee declared, his voice resolute. "Kazuya is still recovering from his fight with Heihachi. We must strike now."

Alan watched as Lars stepped forward, his gaze fixed on Jin with unwavering determination. Placing a reassuring hand on Jin's shoulder, Lars spoke with conviction.

"Jin, you're our only hope," Lars said, his voice firm. "Humanity's fate rests in your hands."

“Yes, Jin-san, we believe in you..!”

Alisa echoed Lars' sentiments, offering her support to Jin as well. Strangely the encouragement brought something out of Alan as couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion at the sight of their unwavering faith in Jin's abilities.

Following Lee announced their plan to intercept the helicopter with a missile to which Jin nodded in agreement, exuding an air of quiet confidence.

“Yes!! He can do it! I believe in him..!”

Suddenly Alan's welled up emotions came out as a quipping teary expression on his face, along with a thumbs up towards Jin. His reaction elicited awkward expressions from the others, somewhat easing the rising tension in the air.

Reciprocating to Alan with a smile, Jin changed his expression into a determined resolve, as he wasted no time in leaving the command centre, running out to embark on his mission.

Moments later, everyone watched on the holographic screen as Jin leaped from the helicarrier on his bike, ready to confront Kazuya and fulfil his destiny as humanity's last hope against the Mishima menace.

As the live feed continued to play out on the holographic screen, everyone watched Jin racing towards Kazuya’s helicopter. And what could only be a distance of a kilometre or two, that remained between Jin and the helicopter,  suddenly Lee’s vigorous command echoed in the centre,

“Shoot it down..!!!!”

Alan and the others watched in quiet sternness as just moments after Lee’s commands, a large missile shot from the helicarrier struck Kazuya's helicopter down on an intersection before engulfing it in a fiery explosion.

However, their rising hopes were quickly dashed as Kazuya emerged from the wreckage unscathed, his sinister presence undiminished.

Without hesitation, Jin sprang into action, hurtling towards Kazuya on his bike with breathtaking speed and agility.

With a fluid motion, he launched his bike towards Kazuya with a following summersault, executing a daring manoeuvre that left everyone in awe.

Yet, Kazuya effortlessly dodged the incoming projectile, delivering a devastating uppercut that sent Jin's bike crashing into a nearby bus stand, triggering a powerful explosion.

The chaotic opening of the conflict made Alan take a step back in fear and astonishment, his eyes darted around on the scene playing on the screen with concern for the nearby civilians evident in his gaze. However, before he could voice his apprehensions, Lee reassured him with his trademark flair and calm demeanour.

"Don't worry, Alan," Lee said, his voice carrying an air of confidence. "We had most of Shibuya evacuated before launching the missile."

Relieved by Lee's reassurance, Alan let out a sigh, his tense muscles relaxing slightly. But his relief was short-lived as the sudden sound of impact reverberated through the speakers, sending shivers down his spine. Jin had landed the first blow, delivering a powerful punch to Kazuya's face.

Yet again to everyone's surprise, Kazuya remained unfazed, his expression twisting into a taunting smirk.

"My, my," Kazuya taunted, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You're finally learning the Mishima language, son. I guess hanging out with your uncles is finally showing its effects."

Without replying Jin gritted his teeth before leaning into an uppercut connecting his fist with Kazuya's jaw, sending him soaring into the air, he unleashed a fierce cry of determination. "I am ending you and this farce right here and now," Jin declared, his voice filled with righteous anger. "You will pay for everything, my mother and all those innocent lives!"

With unparalleled skill and precision, Jin launched a breathtaking display of Kazama Style Combo on Kazuya, his movements fluid and graceful yet imbued with raw power.

Alan's eyes widened in recognition as he observed Jin's martial prowess, having studied a modified form of the art during his time in the USA. However, Lars's correction brought a new understanding to Alan's realisation.

"It's not just Kazama Style you see," Lars interjected, his tone serious. "It's also Mishima Style and Traditional Karate."

Alan watched with a growing sense of hope as Jin moved with speed and unwavering determination into a front mayagiri directly on Kazuya’s chest, sending him thrashing into nearby rubble.

However, once again hope was short-lived when following up Jin suddenly found himself thrown back by an exhilarating aura, purple in hue.

Alan and the others recognized the telltale sign immediately, confirming their worst fears.

"He doesn't want to waste time," Lee remarked, his voice cutting through the tension with a sense of urgency. “Prepare the cannons."

At Lee's command, Alan watched as a guard rushed out of the command centre, followed by the emergence of giant cannons from the below and sides of the helicarrier.

The sight left Alan in a state of astonishment and concern, his mind racing with the implications of what was about to unfold.

As the soldier seated at the pilot's seat awaited Lee's orders, addressing him as "Commander Chaolan," Lee's gaze remained fixed on the screen, where Jin was slowly recovering from the floor, albeit with a noticeable limp.

Desperation gnawing at him as Lee opened his mouth to issue the command to fire the cannons, when suddenly Lars interjected, drawing everyone's attention back to Jin's determined figure on the screen.

"Look..! he hasn't given up yet," Lars urged, his voice filled with conviction. "Let him see it through. It's his fight too."

Alan watched in silent awe as Jin, with a defiant gesture, pointed towards the helicarrier, as if commanding them to halt. Lee's frustrated expression did not go unnoticed by Alan, deepening his realisation of the gravity of the situation at hand.

Returning his gaze to the holographic screen, Alan watched as Jin stood up, dusting off his knuckles, while Kazuya emerged from the smoke in his Devil form, engulfed in a sinister purple aura.

Even being on the other safe side of the screen, Alan could sense the tension in the air as Kazuya began to speak, his voice dripping with sarcasm and taunt.

"Jin Kazama, I do not have time for such trivialities," Kazuya declared, his tone cold and dismissive. "I do not have anything to do with your mother, apart from that fateful night."

Alan and the others listened with still apprehension as Kazuya continued to speak, his words laden with bitter truths and twisted logic.

"Shame to say this but I loved her as much as you did... and those lives you talk about may I need to remind you had much more to do with the destruction than me…!!!" Kazuya taunted loudly, crossing his arms defiantly.

Alan couldn't help but acknowledge the kernels of truth in Kazuya's words, as Lars and Lee had explained to him  in past that while Kazuya's actions may have contributed to the conflict, it was Jin's hatred towards him as the Devil that fueled the war.

Returning his focus to the screen, Alan watched as Jin leaped towards Kazuya with a fierce punch, his voice filled with determination.

"Whatever it may be, you are the core reason for this mayhem and destruction, and today I put an end to it all," Jin declared, his resolve unwavering.

In response, Kazuya smirked sarcastically, taking a defensive stance with his third eye glowing ominously.

As Jin's punch neared its target, it was met with blurring movements and a radiant blast of laser energy, instantly engulfing him in its destructive force. However, to Alan's astonishment, Jin emerged from the smoke unscathed, his form now adorned with serene black wings—a dead giveaway of another transformation. Devil Jin.

Alan couldn't suppress a sense of concern as he observed the ominous change in Jin's appearance.

"It's not a good thing, is it?" Alan voiced his observation aloud, his tone tinged with apprehension.

"In the past, maybe," Lee commented cryptically, his expression unreadable. Sensing Alan's confusion, Alisa flew forward to him with her jetpack, surprising him with her sudden approach.

"Notice something different?" Alisa inquired, her eyes fixed on the holographic screen.

Alan nodded, his gaze focused on Jin's altered devilish appearance which now somehow gave an aura of serenity, "It's just the wings and the mark." Alan replied.

"Yeah, you're right," Alisa confirmed, her expression thoughtful. "It's a controlled form. Jin retains all his powers of this transition while maintaining control over his mind."

"He's been training with Chi," Lars chimed in, his voice filled with admiration.

Returning his attention to the screen, Alan watched in awe as after seeing Jin’s altered transformation disgust dripped from hovering Kazuya’s visage and words,

“And just when you were starting to impress me. Stooping so low, You are not worthy to be called my Son, JIN KAZAMA..!!!!”

“YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER!!!!!”

Both warriors let out disgust-filled battle cries before flying towards each other at a blurring speed.

Jin and Kazuya engaged in a fierce showdown of hits and laser blasts, the tide of battle gradually turning in Jin's favour. With each devastating blow, Alan felt a surge of excitement wash over him, mirroring the same sense of calm and safety he observed in Lars, Lee, and Alisa.

As Jin unleashed a final, cataclysmic beam blast that sent Kazuya hurtling through Shibuya Tower, burying him within rubble of iron and debris. Alan couldn't help but marvel at the sheer power and determination displayed by the legendary fighter.

"Stay down..!,"

Jin commanded, his voice echoing with authority as he hovered over the rubble that was once the tallest tower in Shibuya.

"Depart from this world peacefully. As I want to end this with peace."

As the tense silence hung heavy in the air, anticipation was palpable as everyone's eyes remained fixed on the rubble where Kazuya lay buried. But in an instant, the silence was shattered by a colossal aura blast erupting from the debris, sending shockwaves and debris rippling and shooting even at the far floating helicarrier. Boulders and rocks were flung in every direction, heralding the ominous return of Kazuya in his devil form.

The sudden dreadful spectacle left Alan's heart pounding with terror as he staggered backward, his trembling hands grasped onto the chair behind him, for support. He knew this was it. He knew that something sinister was about to unfold, his fear mirrored the expressions of each around him.

Kazuya had fully transformed into his devil form, he moved at such speed that even the camera of high-tech broadcasting drone only registered his movements as a blur before he began unleashing a relentless barrage of rubble and laser blasts. Alan watched in horror when Kazuya seized Jin in his grasp, delivering brutal blows with no restraint.

Lars wasted no time, ordering the pilot to fire without constraint, but the ominous chaos that captivated their eyes, halted their movements against the overwhelming power of Kazuya's onslaught.

Lee moved with panic and dread as he took matters into his own hands, pushing the pilot aside and locking the cannons onto Kazuya. But before he could unleash the full force of their firepower, Kazuya materialised in front of the artillery's focus screen, freezing everyone in their tracks with his ominous presence, because they were aware that the following was not going to be in their goodwill.

Pummeled mercilessly, blood staining his battered form, Kazuya held Jin by the neck, while his own eyes closed in serene concentration. Alan's breath caught in his throat when he noticed Lee slowly moving his fingers of the trigger of artillery, but suddenly Kazuya's eyes snapped open, glowing with intensity.

"Consider this your final warning," Kazuya declared ominously, his voice echoing with chilling authority.

Alan could only watch in helpless horror as the eye on Kazuya's temple and the marks on his wings began to glow with increasing crimson intensity. Without warning, devastation rained down upon the helicarrier as laser blasts erupted from Kazuya’s form, bringing destruction in all directions, engulfing everything in their path.

Alan's senses reeled as the first laser struck the command centre, plunging him into darkness. In the chaos that ensued, the last thing he saw was Alisa leaping towards him and Lars, their fate hanging in the balance as they braced for the inevitable onslaught of destruction.
