Day, 31: Reached the pass and stood before the vista again, it is as awe-inspiring as ever. The singers of the shore should remember me. That’s probably where the girl will head to.
Day 32: That sly fox has snuck a letter into my pack! I can’t believe she had the gall to sneak up on me at night! Skraar said he was paralyzed and could not act. Damn that weasel of a girl!

Esteemed colleague Blue Wing,
I do not intend to stop before I have finished what I have to do. If you wish to try and hinder me, I understand, I'm probably worth a lot, and I have no wish to kill you. But be aware. I managed to get to your stuff once. This is just a letter made from paper, but the next time, it might be something different. I already stand on trial for devious crimes.
Nannade, apprentice of Purple Paw of Halonnes.

That damn brat! I’ll have to ward my campsites from now on!
Day 33: The town of Gildronsteathnur lies before me tranquil as ever. The lake is its usual blue and ice-free. I had forgotten how beautiful it is here. Maybe this is where I'll settle down. I could go hunting with Skraar every day and listen to the singers' songs of mending.
Day 34: Getting closer now. Skraar can no longer spot the girl from the air, she might still sleep during the day to fool me.
Day 35: Arrived in Gildronsteathnur. The people welcomed me back and when I asked about the girl, several people said they saw her, but she apparently quickly moved on to the lake. I will have to seek an audience with the singers.
Day 36: Not only did they receive her, the singers at the shore sent the girl straight to the Oneirian! On his demand! What has led them to this? What business does she have on the island in the mist? How would she ever achieve it? Who does she know to just waltz into the great wound? I might have overshot it with this contract. 20 silver are suddenly not worth this. The singers will not let me pass. I will have to wait for her if I want to fulfil my contract. Nothing to do but knock a few ones back with old acquaintances.
