Day 20: She got away! She saw me from far and tried to run, but I waved the letter and told her it’s from her teacher. She agreed to at least read it. But then she told me to bring him a message.
“I am sorry. But this goes beyond everything. I know I still have time. Be at ease and don’t enact your plan.”
Then she ran. Somehow, she avoided my traps. She is damn fast, climbed an incline faster than I’ve ever seen anyone, even with equipment. Had to take the long way around and lost her trail. It was too damn dark and I am too damn tired to continue.
Day 21: This morning, Skraar spotted her, still making it further north at a fast pace.
Day 22: Nothing of note.
Day 23: Nothing of note.
Day 24: Not gaining on her. In the marshes, I was at an advantage, but here, it’s for naught. She travels lighter.

Day 25: Nothing of note.
Day 26: Tried to form a contract with some spirits of air today, asking if they could carry me but they refused. I am not in my home territory anymore. Asked them if they could at least carry a message to the singers of the steaming lake and they agreed. I informed them that the girl would come and probably ask for an audience with the Oneirian and if refused, would try to get to him another way. I know I can’t entice them with money so I called upon an old favour they owe me.
Day 27: Nothing of note.
Day 28: Skraar spotted her already climbing the damn goat trail, then she hid in a cave. I don’t have the equipment for climbing up there, so I’ll have to improvise with spells or take the long route again.
Day 29: This is not getting easier. The years are defeating me.
Day 30: Arrived at the rocky rapids. Took the long trail through the mountains. Never moved so slowly in my life. Skraar helped but the spirits of the land won’t grant me the force to fly. I am completely out of my home territory.
