Chapter 6 – Fated Symbols

Chapter 6 – Fated Symbols

With that the young admiral would soon enough wake up. Seeing a crumbling concrete room as he went out of his old wooden bed feeling the hard surface and the pillow that made his bed a little bit more comfortable for him. As he went on to get up only to see the cardboard bed that Robin had come to claim as her own as she let the two rest on their only bed. One of which existed on a time long since vanished in the past.

Thought as it so happened he couldn't do much before it soon enough started to shake. As the walls crumbled creating a series of symbols that he had never seen before. All the while it glowed a familiar hue as he looked on before they soon enough rushed towards him making him yell out as characters would form and their meaning would soon enough come to form and connect with one another as it blended within one another as it created meaning and sentences from them all before eventually everything turned to orange.

One that resulted in him getting back to what was before hand before the creature acted yet instead of a massive giant ocean beast they would see clear skies and most of all freedom. As the cheers from before soon enough turned to chatter as they wanted to confirm if the creature existed. "Am I going insane or did we see a monster?" He said as the crew would nod still just as shocked as they soon enough was washed with a whole multitude of emotions at that.

"Status." He said making them nod as they followed his orders as they saw the world. The skies orange and filled with life as they marvelled with glee. As Carl looked on with great admiration but, saw no sun rather it was quite bright at that. "Odd." He said feeling quite unsure on what to make out of it as he signalled to his men to be vigilant knowing that they witness quite the massive creature and such he wanted them all to be vigilant and ready for what could happen. But, as he walked to where the entity was supposed to be all that he saw was a an bow with its body no where to be seen.

As he looked at the waters infront of them only to see tiny shadows that were brushing against the hull only to disappear. Making him gesture to his men as he wanted them to get to him. "Go and make sure that the civvies are safe also tell them to be vigilant since we don't know if the fishes here are edible or safe." He ordered as he told his people to go in and start preparing as they gotten the MPAC to return to the tow as they prepared to conserve as much gas as they can while also making sure to get them all ready for what was to come. As marines soon enough descended towards the towed vessels as they ensured that no one was injured, missing, or have died after the entry.

As they looked at the waters with some even turning to spear fishing with some going into the water as was with one of the marines who was from the last existing indigenous tribes of the Philippine tribes after the end which were the Badjao tribe. People that were perfect for the upcoming marines due to their ability to swim and navigate the waters with minimum to no gear making them perfect for assaults within the oceans.

Thought as he dived on deeper he could see that the waters were clears and the fishes were quite lively and quite numerous as he took aim before firing his spear gun taking in a circular fish that looks like a small sun fish one barely doing anything as it was pierced before he soon enough pulled it up to the delight of the people above as they had fishes around them which they could easily replenish their food stocks yet the calm would soon enough become looks of fear as they saw a large head bump on one of the boats and with that a man was looking on with horror as the creature head would emerge from the waters.

Revealing a creature with six eyes as it looked on around it more curious then hungry as the marines soon enough came in and started to aim at them as they instruct the man to leave his spear one that had the same circular fish behind which the creature soon enough came to take with speed taking the fish and cutting it up with its serrated teeth before descending making everyone look on with horror and admiration on the creature they called the Kris tooth. One that was mostly the sea gulls of this region and often more of a good luck to that of the fishermen despite how terrifying one could be.

Yet it was clear that most were amazed to see that this world was vastly different then they were. As soon enough they saw a elongated mass shoot out of the waters and arcing towards the sky before soon enough getting back downwards in return. To the amazement of the people as the marines were keeping themselves vigilant and ensured that the citizens were safe knowing that they didn't know if they could return after what had happened back then. Especially with the aircraft carrier was far from visual contact as the ship continued to navigate this new waters at that.

Seeing hope as they saw a creature flying off in the distance. As Jazzy saw it and with clear disbelief looked on and saw what seems to be dragons fighting off in the distance. Diving at one another as their scales protected themselves from bites, claws, and might as they wrestle for control towards the hunting grounds. "This world is." He said speechless as he looked on as eventually one of them fell from the skies only to get back up and retreat making the winner roar out in delight as it was victorious yet instead of running back he did something else namely diving at the defeated creature using its altitude to ram towards it before likely slamming it into the ground to consume later on.

Of course the aftermath was a mystery as they continued on hoping to find land for them. "Maintain course I'll be making sure that everyone in the ship is alright." he muttered as he left his crew as he went on to check on everyone knowing that they to make sure that everyone is far from hurt or harmed. Going towards the quarters as he inspected the soldier's families at that. Only for them to call after him as they went on to show him about one of the kid's drawings at that. Namely it bared one of the letters but, one that he could tell its meaning. "Happy." It spoke as he had his confirmation that the dream might be something else. "Should we be concern?" Her mother spoke only to make him shake his head. "For now we shouldn't, as bad as it is this world is far different than ours for better or for worse." He explained as he looked at the worried parents. "Please monitor your children and keep them close we do not know what dangers this world has but, know that we are in better lands a new future as promise will come after we made landfall." He said making the parents nod and calm down as they were rather happy to know that they made a successful crossing.

"But, we heard rumours." One of them spoke making him nod as he looked at the children and ensured that they were playing and far from being able to hear them before he let them know of the fact that they could never return especially when the other fleets were still on the other side rather that they have no idea of where the gate was as if it never existed especially after the massive creature. "For now our priority if to make landfall and to create a suitable settlement where we can reorganize and map out our surroundings." He opened up letting them know that the main plan was not going to change.

"Afterwards we will attempt to rescue as many of our people but, we need more information on where our enemies are and what we can expect from their forces." He spoke out as he knew too well just how badly things had gotten to be. "We were not the target but, became it when we interacted with someone that wished harmed upon them but, we were forced to defend ourselves." He continued to say letting them know just how they had to fight back in return.

"Are we being hunted?" One of them replied as they wanted to know if they were safe or not. "Many other ships were going with us likely having to flee from their retaliation but, I will make it known to all of what happened please wait for the whole story and do not worry I will not hide anything." He said as he was all too eager to let them know just how they will know the whole story soon. "For now make sure that the kids are safe and stable and I'll keep you all to date." He said before letting them savour all of the information as he wanted to foster trust since he couldn't afford distrust and fear to swallow them whole especially in such a world.

All in all he would make his way to the medical centre while was in a buzzed when the landing vessel had been search and Gabriella had made a fuzz trying to make sure that the food from the fringes were still safe and fine. One that made the place quite the hectic environment as he saw the apprentices moving to and from one place to another. With one of his aides on the hospital bed with him resting his body after a shrapnel had hit his leg but, from the looks of it he seems that he was stable.

Rather Gabriella was rusting as she went on and started to take out the seed of those that were already ripe and aged. With some already on the little plastic cups and containers that they had with them drape with water as to separate the ones that were fertile and those that were not. "Faster!" She yelled out as they carefully separated the seeds from the fruit while they tried to preserve those that were already opened or sliced through. "be careful we need to be able to grow them if we want to increase the chances that we have as to survive." She spoke out eager to give them every little advantage that they could get to ensure that their settlement survives only to hear him come into the greenhouse as she looked at him quite mad at the same time happy with all of this.

"I've heard that we pissed off the wrong people." She said raising her eyebrows up to let him know that his aide had already spilled the beans. "We interacted with the wrong people." He corrected making him roll her eyes. "Anyway your little trade partner gave us quite the investment." She said as she looked on quite mesmerized at how pristine and wonderful the crops looked. From the rice stalks meant for planting, the tomatoes which were big and just now adopting a shade of yellow, onions of both red and white variants and the garlic that was added in.

"The Entity we would call Joe did have plenty I thought that we could interrogate him once here but, suddenly it happened." He said in return wanting her to know the thing that made this boon into a reality.

"The native of this world and from the looks of it connected to the thing that gave us the same dream of exotic letters and languages." She responded as she was still not sure on what to feel about it. "After waking up I've asked my apprentices about all it and most if not all had told me about the same thing. "A room that was vital to their childhood showing up and then the walls being eventually replaced by a large hue of orange thought I have come to the conclusion that not everyone was shown the same letters." She told him letting him know that she had took the confusion as a chance to research about the dream.

"The fact that everyone had the same dream makes me wonder if its a initiation pact for all that comes in. The fact that it happened to not just us on the ship but, also those towed shows me that a higher intelligence has welcomed us." She followed up as she was quite invested in this. "I would like to request resources and time to focus on the anomaly the more we figure out and catalog the more we might establish communication towards such an entity and the ones that they call Joe." She said highly suspicious about this creature that seem to have guided them here. "I will allow it as no matter what it is we are all affected by it." He told her making her nod.

"Before that the food is fresh and are filled with seedlings. Its a miracle that we gotten such a haul and such I would want more people and resources to properly store them." She spoke out knowing too well that having such things would improve their chances of not just surviving but, ensuring that the outpost would grow into a settlement that will help out and make sure that their people can easily settle in. "You will get that I will talk and make sure that civvies could work with you." He muttered knowing too well that they are all on their own now until they figured out where the gate was.

"Thought later I would like to have a meeting for everyone that could attend in the cafeteria." He said as he wanted to inform everyone about the current situation and what to do afterwards. "Noted I'll come just be trying to make sure that we gather every last seed that we can." She said as she was eager to get back to work. "Also Robin is busy looks like the letters inspired her." She said worried about their mother. "I'll keep that in mind and thank you for that." He said as he nodded abit worried that she was acting up but, at the same time knew that when inspiration comes the blacksmith did have a way of making sure that things work out well.

As he went downwards towards the workstation to get a view of the place. Seeing the place quite active with her men taking this chance to work. Some for basic tools and other necessities needed to keep the ship going or the men in tip top shape. All the while the leader of this operation was busy marking down the symbols that they were given. "How are things?" He asked of her as he wanted to make sure that she was safe and alright.

Still despite that she did get quite some time to response as she soon enough marked it all down creating a chart of what it could mean and what it could refer to in the distant future. "Jazzy its.. Sorry." She said as she took her time to response only seeing him nod before she presented her work. "Its a language or rather a system of communication within this new world." She spoke out as she looked on with utter delight at what she was witnessing at that. "I believe that its more then just a language but, more of a method of communication to us from the inhabitants of this world." She added as she was eager to show him but, its clear that her work was far from able and capable for the time being.

"I mean look at this." She spoke as she drew the symbols and soon enough shown him a series of symbols that once combined told him one thing. "Welcome to Exodus." One that she looked on knowing that he knew what it meant. "Its a name, this place has a name like what we had back at our own this means that we are not alone." She said all too eager and happy as she looked on with utter delight about this as no one had told the engineers about the entity and the massive creature but, even here she had felt their presence.

"You are right we crossed on over due to the actions of one native who called himself Joe and the dreams appeared once we crossed our. "He told her making her look on with delight at the mention of a creature unlike any other. As she jotted it down making her glee with delight not carrying about the fact that they might not be able to rescue their brothers and sisters back home.

"Fruits, a being that could take on point blank shots and being stabbed like its living armour?" She asked before nodding as she found it quite interesting then terrifying. "A colossal creature that rose up from the oceans which gave us all visions of a language we knew nothing about?" She added as she wrote the two down. "Also, Joe gave us food and equipment like it was nothing?" She muttered as she placed it all down. "This world is interesting and from the sounds of it habitable for all of us or a variety of life." She told him knowing too well that this sounded artificial.

"Like a garden carefully cultivated and made to flourish or bloom." She continued on. "I believe that the massive creature are the owners of the garden possessing a power of implanting memories, thoughts, and information right to a multitude of beings without trouble. While the Joe is its workers served to grow and enrich the garden." She continued on as she shown him what she understood namely the massive creature that they could call the World Leviathan as the curator while the joes are the worker bees designed to ensure that the garden is rich and diverse. " She muttered showing him that humans couldn't possibility be the kings and masters of this new world rather they were a new species introduced in order to enrich the garden.

"You know me and plants but, wouldn't that make sense in order not to destroy the garden by an abundance of pests or that of a reliance on pest control that one could simply introduce frogs to safeguard the garden. "maybe we can consult with Gabriella?" She asked making him nod. "Its a good theory for now but, why just us and attack the Americans or rather the world fleet?" He asked making her worried. "I am not sure." She said which she thought about it but, she needed more time and data to make something more feasible for them.

"Thanks for that Robin." He said knowing that atleast now they had something that they could say about the creatures that led them here. "We will be bringing along everyone towards the cafeteria so make sure that you can come and bring this theory." He said as he was glad to know that they might have hope. "I'll make sure to do it and thanks for now I hope that we aren't seen as pesks later on." She told him knowing that it was going to be a hopeless battle in the future if this continues on. "We'll survive for now I'll organize the meeting. "I want you to bring your findings to the meeting we need to calm everyone down and give everyone an explanation." He told her as he smiled knowing that she was working hard still for them. "Thanks really." He said before bidding her goodbye as he soon enough made up his way towards the mess hall where they would be holding a meeting on the future course of actions that they could feasibly take in this strange new lands.
