Chris opens his eyes, his vision is blurry, he can hear distorted noises. He can feel something wet between his legs, did he just pee?
The more his senses fall in place, the more he realises something is wrong?
His hands and legs all feel weird.
He can barely see, he can make out some people around him "Who are these people." he wonders. He wants to ask them, but nothing comes out, it's as if he cannot speak.
The people around him keep touching him. Their voices are distorted and not clear. This is just too much weird to take. He tries to recollect what did he do before waking up, but he just can't seem to remember.
He suddenly realised he didn't have any teeth. Huh? Is he wrapped in something he can't move?
"Release me." he wanted to say.
They touched him there, why are they touching me there, did they realise I peed.
Oh, they are removing the cloth, I can be free. What is this small hand in front of me?
He gasped, realising it was his own hand. It was a baby's hands.
It all just rushed over him. No No No...why am I, a baby?
At this thought, he just couldn't stop himself from crying like a baby, funnily enough, he was now really a baby.

It's been three years since Chris was born in this world and with time he started to get a better understanding of this new world, along with its language and how magic played an important part in life.
He still could not remember his past life. He would often get strange dreams which he could not recall after waking up. The only thing somehow he remembered was that his name was Chris.
Belonging to a wealthy family, there were always servants around to take care of him. His favorite was his butler named Roger, he came from a line of family butlers who had served his family for generations. Roger was mediumly built with receding hair, he always wore the same black suit and was always around him.

His Father's name was William and his Mother's, Sarah.
William was mostly not around. Occasionally visiting, showering him with a lot of gifts and love. He will always speak of how great a family he comes from. Chris got to know that his father's Dreux family was not some minor family. They boasted of a very proud lineage.
He was a class two level mage and was part of a very few class two level mages in the kingdom. All mages started at level five, with years of mastery and achievement they could move to higher levels.
Most of them even after years could only reach up to level three. William had not only surpassed this and reached level two but he did so at a very young age. He was considered a genius that comes rarely in a generation.
At the top, stood level One who were referred to as Archmages, just having strong mastery over magic wasn't enough to reach this stage, they also needed strong support from the noble families that rule over the continent. William was in the pursuit of reaching this level and becoming an Archmage himself.
What made William and The Dreux family even more powerful was their affinity to unique magic, only a few in the kingdom had unique magic. This uniqueness to the family was passed on by someone at the pinnacle of magic, a level far above level one, they were called "Infinity" level class mages, named as there was no way of knowing what limits their power held. They were a calamity in walking, who could go on par with Dragons and Devils the most powerful race in the continent.
The founder of the Dreux family was an "Infinity" mage, whose unique magic passed on through generations. Even after centuries, the family is still considered in such high regard due to the "Infinity" mage. Such was their existence.
Though for centuries no "Infinity" level mage has emerged. Their emergence could tip the balance of the world.

Chris will not be Chris anymore, he was about to get a new name. He was now four years old and his naming ritual was arriving soon. In the past four years, he became even more familiar with the big mansion and the people living under it.
Still, there was no recollection of his past memory. Roger was always around teaching him the ways of the world, the etiquettes of being part of a noble family. Though he found it boring to go through all of them, he liked the time spent with Roger.
Chris would often ask Roger about his family, he would just shrug it off by saying "I only serve Young Master and the Dreux family".
Though once Chris overheard his parents talking about Roger, how Roger's families' origin came from his mother's clan. Which made him wonder "How did Roger's family serve the Dreux family for so long?"
Chris's mother Sarah belonged to the Draconet Clan and had an affinity to the earth element, she was at level two herself. Sarah's clan speaks of a lineage descending from the dragons but nothing to prove of it than scale-like markings and the skull of a True dragon they keep at their clan village.
Her clan boasted of better physical strength and strong martial arts. Though it is believed that their clan's true Strength diminished with the disappearance of the Dragons centuries ago and along with them the gifts they carried.
The naming ceremony was drawing close and with it the truth of which affinity he will have.
