It was a few hours before Lahmi found the homely in the field and prepared for an attack.
Pitch dark still, with a brutal, stinging cold.
The mountains laughed at all whom dared come this far.
Elhanan stared around the camp.
A few of the older warriors used to war were already up...they hadn't slept at all.
Some of the younger ones had just fallen asleep a few minutes before, tossing and turning the whole night.
Elhanan went over into the darkness, and pulled Jalut's sword forth.
He stared at it in its sheath. A few deep breaths and then the sheath was pulled.
Elhanan held the handle and stared at the blade.
His face reflected in the massive weapon.
And then, like a flash of lightning, he was taken away.
Kingdoms fell before him.
Women and warriors at his call.
He sat on the throne of his king.
The sun rise and fell like clockwork and he did not age.
Armies came against the holy city and he defeated them, standing at the top of the castle with the massive sword.

Beasts and devils and dragons and tentacled creatures broke from the earth.
All graves were opened as the dead of all the wars and Swordfall's came forth, bowing to Elhanan.
He soon was covered in blood.
He ran around the castle and city, executing all he saw with the massive blade.
None were spared.
The stars began to fall.
The crown melted on to his head.
He screamed as the gold became like lava, tearing at his skin and melting his eyes as he tried to pry it off.
His finger tips were burnt to the bone, as his skull broke through his fried skin.
"No," Elhanan whispered.
Elhanan took a step back, staring at the magical sword.
It had not taken him.
"I will use you against my enemies," Elhanan told the sword, sweat pouring from his brow. "You will not make me what you want me to be. I will not be your servant. Sword of Jalut, I defy you. But I will use you."
And with that, Elhanan put the sword away.
He turned to see Beniah watching him, pulling his coat close to his neck and hood over his head.
"It's me. Don't worry," Elhanan assured him.
"What did you see?" Beniah asked.
"Everything. And nothing. Hell itself. And what a kingdom under me would look like."
"And?"
"That would be hell itself as well," Elhanan joked, his youthful appearance coming back. "I have to kill the giant's brother with this sword, or it will always be cursed."
"Do you know that for a fact?"
"No. I just assume," Elhanan said, actually laughing. "But I think I'm right. Wake up the young ones, Beniah. It is time for us all to die."
"All hail the kingdom."
"All hail the kingdom," Elhanan responded.
