My mind wandered, lost in a whirlwind of fear and uncertainty.
I found myself sitting on the cold, hard floor, my gaze fixed on the void, lost in my own thoughts.
If I had to sum up my situation in a single word, it would be "FUCKED!" The weight of my predicament bore down on me with crushing force, and no amount of explanation could adequately capture the gravity of my circumstances.
In just six months' time, the sect would inevitably discover the truth - that I hadn't awakened any kind of spiritual roots.
The consequences were dire.
I would be deemed a failure, an outcast, destined for a fate worse than death.
I could be cast out, forced to leave everything I had ever known behind, or worse, I could be reduced to a mere slave, a pawn to be used and discarded.
The very thought sent shivers down my spine, filling me with dread.
My future looked bleak, and the sense of impending doom loomed over me like a dark cloud, suffocating any hope I had left.
My mind was a tumultuous storm of emotions as I contemplated my grim fate. In just six months, I would either meet my demise or be reduced to servitude under some unknown, elderly master, or perhaps something even worse.
The weight of it all felt suffocating, my heart heavy with despair and my head throbbing with worry.
Every fiber of my being longed to scream, cry, break down, and beg for mercy.
But I knew it would be futile, only inviting more pain and suffering upon myself. So, I held back, clenching my fists tightly to suppress the urge to release my anguish.
Instead, I found solace in quiet observation. I sat on the ground, hugging my knees to my chest, listening attentively to every sound in my surroundings. The rustling of branches in the wind, the crunching of leaves underfoot, the gentle rustle of leaves falling to the ground, the scurrying of a mouse, or the scratching of an animal's bone.
I found myself keenly attuned to the smallest details as if the natural world around me provided a temporary respite from the overwhelming uncertainty of my future.
It's been two weeks since I moved here and the same thing repeated every day. I would wake up at dawn to prepare breakfast for myself while waiting for Xia Changge to come.
As soon as he would come he would drag me to the kitchen where my day would consist of washing dishes, drying clothes, and sweeping floors Sometimes we'd play games and sometimes we'd talk about everything or nothing and Sometimes we would get into fights with others over inconsequential things because Xia Changge couldn't keep his temper down.
He had a very short temper and liked to cause trouble and argue but when I got annoyed or angry he would apologize and apologize profusely. That being said, he did love to annoy and argue with me. Like yesterday I was beaten black and blue because he talked to a girl he wasn't supposed to and because he was untouchable whereas I was not. I was the one who incurred the wrath of the jilted party.
My reverie was abruptly shattered as a few droplets of water splashed onto my skin. Looking up, I noticed dark clouds gathering overhead, and a light drizzle began to fall steadily.
The moons that had graced the sky just moments ago were now hidden behind the thick clouds, and a chilly breeze swept in from the south, sending a shiver down my spine.
I let out a sigh and turned my gaze toward the water, where my reflection was now distorted by the raindrops.
Suddenly, I caught a glimpse of a pair of mesmerizing, clear eyes staring at me from behind. My skin prickled with goosebumps, and I found myself frozen in place, unable to move or speak.
After what felt like an eternity, I mustered the courage to turn around slowly, only to find someone standing behind me, their face obscured in shadow.
My heart raced with curiosity and a hint of fear, as I tried to make out their features in the dim light.
Who could it be?
And what were they doing here?
watching me in this secluded spot by the water?
The unknown presence sent a thrill down my spine, and I waited with my breath held in to see what would unfold next.
I stood there, frozen in fear, avoiding direct eye contact with the mysterious person. My body trembled, and I almost let out a scream, but then a soft voice broke the silence.

"Don't be afraid," she said in a voice as gentle as silk, a voice that seemed to caress my very soul, as if her words were meant to calm my inner turmoil.
I shook my head, taking a step back, my instincts urging me to run away, but I couldn't move. I could feel her gaze fixed on my back as I tried to put some distance between us. She spoke again, her tone slightly desperate this time.
"Why don't you sit down?"
She slowly approached me, her steps quiet and smooth, like a serene creek flowing through grassy hills. Her movements were graceful and mysterious as she lowered herself to sit right beside me, so close that I could feel her presence almost touching me. Her breathing was calm, but there was a hint of labored effort as if she was struggling against some invisible force.
Her shoulders relaxed, and then her breath hitched, as if in pain.
I saw the silhouette of her hand clutching her chest as she breathed heavily.
After a long moment, she took a deep breath, as if trying to steady herself. My curiosity mingled with my fear, and I couldn't help but wonder who this enigmatic person was and what she wanted from me.
I tried to speak, but my voice wouldn't come out. Before I knew it, I fell to the ground, my body limp as a marionette with its strings cut.
I watched as the mysterious person's tears flowed down her cheeks, her voice breaking as she pleaded, "Please don't hate me...please..."
Her lips quivered, and tears streamed down her face as she struggled to breathe.
Her hands were clenched into fists, and her nails dug into her palms. The blood vessels in her neck bulged as she breathed heavily, her emotions raw and palpable.
Suddenly, her hand shot out like a whip and grabbed my head, yanking me forcefully toward her.
Her eyes, wet with tears, locked onto mine with an unwavering gaze, as if she would never let go. I stared into her deep green irises, speckled with golden flecks, and felt a wave of fear and agony wash over me.
Then, to my horror, she opened her mouth, revealing a set of sharp fangs. My heart raced, and I froze in fear, unable to move or speak. I didn't know what she was, but the sight of her fangs sent a chill down my spine.
Was she a vampire?
Was I in danger?
My mind raced with questions, but I was paralyzed with fear, unable to break free from her grip or escape her intense gaze.
I braced myself for whatever was about to happen, my pulse pounding in my ears.
The smell of blood hit my nostrils, and the warm red blood mixed with saliva and sweat dripped from my skin, it was a scent so sweet and so pure like wine. It made me dizzy and giddy.
My senses were all wrapped into a tight ball that seemed unable to function properly and I could hardly understand why my body had betrayed my brain and acted independently of my thoughts.
Then I felt a tug on the corner of my lip, Then I felt a sharp pain as if a sledgehammer had hit my left arm a feeling I was all too familiar with. the crazy fanged woman was biting my arm which caused another sharp pain to lance up my arm. The force was stunning, like getting an arm caught in an industrial machine, but it gave me my mobility back.
I tried to pull away, but she didn’t budge.
Not even an inch.
She couldn’t have weighed over one-twenty pounds, but try as I might I couldn’t move her.
As I tried to struggle the clothes covering the woman fell off revealing a gapping nasty wound that bled profusely, the wound was big enough to show me her beating heart her lungs and her liver were, I heard her ribs cracking loudly each time her breaths came short and shallow.
It was as If her entire chest was ripped apart by two claws, the wounds were deep, and the edges of the claw marks were bleeding profusely.
I could see that the bones and tissues had shattered and it wasn’t safe for anyone to walk, much less do what she was doing.
It took a second to realize that she was sucking my wrist.
I could feel blood spurting into her mouth in great gushes. Her heart, which I could see in the hole still in her chest, didn’t seem to be beating. The rest of her wounds were healing so fast that most were gone in seconds.
I was getting dizzy, but the big wound over her heart wasn’t healing, and when I peered close a bit of silver gleamed from a small piece of metal.
A tiny part of my brain offered up a tally of current events. I was alone in woods that was supposed to be full of dangerous creatures, I was being sucked By a beautiful woman who was healing as she drank my blood and she had a big gaping wound in her chest.Oh, and I was absolutely powerless.
"What the fuck"
I said aloud without knowing what I was thinking or saying, it sounded more like a question than a statement.
My vision was starting to get fuzzy but before I knew it I reached my thumb and forefinger into her wound.
The blood made it almost impossible to grip the chunk of silver that was left in there and I was getting dizzier by the second, but I got it.
My index finger actually touched her still heart, and a shock jumped between us. Her heart beat once, twice, thrice hard.
The woman's eyes, which had been shut, snapped open and met my own as I pulled the piece of metal from her body.
It fell on the ground when my jittery fingers dropped it on close inspection I found it was a small silver needle.
The wound began to close instantly.
Then my vision started to swim, swirling around two blue pools of light.
Now looking back I had no fucking clue why I did it.
By all rights, I should have just jammed that silver bolt right through her still heart as hard as I could, I mean this woman was killing me for god's sake and yet somehow I wanted to save her?
How stupid can one get?
I asked myself.
What kind of idiot does that?
It could have been an accident and she really just needed help from the right person.
It could have been that she was trying so hard to live.
I’ve always admired survivors.
It may have been that I’d never had a hot girl suck on my arm, or any other body part for that matter, before and I just wasn’t gonna ruin the experience.
Whatever the dammed reason was It was a hell of a way to commit suicide, I decided
A sharp burning pain surged through my whole body like fire spreading and burning every cell in my body.
It felt like my nerve fibbers were burning.
Suddenly I found myself staring at the same golden green eyes with shining flecks of gold in them. I was mesmerized as I looked at the beauty, she looked so angelic and peaceful.
Suddenly her arm slipped around my waist as she raised me up, her arms felt like rubber-covered steel, hard and soft at the same time, but I could only notice that it was strong, and I felt her embrace around my waist grow tighter, as I was lifted up from the ground.
“Let’s go, little one”
She said as we headed deeper into the forest, I didn’t understand why.
Why were we leaving here?
No, I don't want to leave,
I don't want to die! I'm not ready to die.
I wanted to tell her to put me down but before I could There was a sudden explosion of energy, my blood pressure spiked, my ears rang and my vision blurred.
Everything went black and I was out.
