Chapter 16

I immediately sat down cross-legged and focused my mind. As I entered a deep state of consciousness, guided by the ancient method of "Celestial Insight," I directed my thoughts to my Niwan Place, which is located just above the eyebrows and is believed to be the dwelling place of the human soul.

To my surprise, instead of finding myself in a world shrouded in grey mist as I had read in records, I found myself in a colossal hall that was beyond my wildest imagination. It was an epic space with a towering throne made entirely out of glimmering gold standing thirty meters high to my right. On the throne, there was a skeleton adorned in exquisite yellow garments, embroidered with intricate red dragons.

On the left side of the hall, there were giant chairs rising twelve meters in the air, which were occupied by other skeletons, all dressed in a mysterious black uniform. The hall was grand, with eleven bays wide and the main room being nine bays wide, extending five bays deep. The six pillars nearest to the golden throne were adorned with black marble, and the entire area was decorated with a captivating dragon motif. The throne itself was adorned with five dragons coiled around the back and hand rests, while the screen behind it featured sets of nine dragons. The hall boasted exquisite furniture made of red sandalwood, adding to its opulence and mystique.

I was in awe of this incredible sight, and I couldn't help but marvel at the craftsmanship and the attention to detail that had gone into creating this magnificent hall. I felt as though I had stumbled upon something that was not meant for my eyes to see, something sacred and otherworldly.

What caught my attention was a complex caisson set into the ceiling directly above the throne. It was adorned with an intricate coiled dragon, and from its mouth hung a chandelier-like set of metal balls, swaying gently in the air. In the middle of the room, there stood a giant bronze mirror, reflecting the splendor of the hall in its polished surface. But the most intriguing sight was a three-legged cauldron, positioned at the center of the hall and chained to the ground by six white pillars.

Upon closer inspection, I realized that the cauldron looked strikingly similar to the one I had tried to steal in my previous life, the one that had led to my untimely demise. It left me perplexed, filled with a mixture of awe, anger, and curiosity. What could all of this mean? Who were these skeletons, and what was the purpose of this grand hall? And most importantly, what was it doing in my Mind sea? With bated breath, I prepared myself to explore further, eager to unravel the secrets hidden within the hall and uncover the truth that awaited me.

Suddenly A very loud voice boomed out of Nowhere

"Pesty Mongrel you shall relinquish the control of this body at once!"A familiar voice rang out in my mind. I looked around frantically, trying desperately to find its source, but to no avail. It was impossible for me to identify where it was coming from, so I shrugged and also spoke in a loud boing voice that would make a bullhorn weep in despair.

"NO FUCKING WAY!" I replied with a shit-eating grin. I looked around my surroundings again and found nothing.

The voice boomed again, resonating through the grand hall. "Pesty human you shall relinquish the control of this body at once!" The familiarity of the voice sent shivers down my spine, and I searched frantically for its source, but it seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere at once.

With a defiant attitude, I responded in a loud voice that echoed through the hall, "Nope, I ain't relinquishing shit." I could feel a surge of anger building up within me, determined not to back down. I scanned my surroundings again, but there was no sign of anyone or anything that could be the source of the voice.

The voice spoke again, this time with a menacing tone, "You are just a mortal insect who has somehow managed to follow me to this world. This body rightfully belongs to me." I could feel the intensity of the voice as if it was trying to assert its dominance over me.

I clenched my fists and took a step forward, my resolve strengthening. "You're mistaken," I retorted, my voice filled with determination. "This body belongs to me, and I won't give it up without a fight."

The hall seemed to tremble with the intensity of our exchange as if the very air crackled with electricity. The skeletons on the throne and chairs remained motionless, as if frozen in time, observing the spectacle before them.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

The voice grew louder, almost a roar now, "You dare defy me? I am the rightful owner of this body, and I will take what is rightfully mine!" I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, my adrenaline surging as I stood my ground, was that even possible seeing I was not in my physical body?

I took a deep breath and yelled back, "Over my dead body! I won't let you take control of me!" My voice echoed through the hall, and I could feel the tension reaching its peak.

The hall seemed to shake, and the chandelier-like metal balls hanging from the caisson above the throne swayed violently. The skeletons in the chairs stirred, their empty eye sockets glowing with an eerie light.

In a final act of defiance, I let out a primal scream, unleashing all the frustration, anger, and determination within me. The hall reverberated with the sound, and the air crackled with energy. the voice returned, this time with a cold, calculating tone. "You may have won this battle with your unnatural soul, but I assure you, I am not done yet. This body is rightfully mine, and I will stop at nothing to claim what is rightfully mine."

I clenched my fists, my resolve hardening. "Your claims are baseless," I retorted, my voice laced with defiance. "I am the rightful owner of this body, and I will not allow you to take it from me."

The voice chuckled, its sinister tone sending chills down my spine. "Oh, but you are mistaken, you worming insect," it mocked. "You stumbled into this world, unaware of it as your soul somehow clung to mine when I escaped that mortal realm. You stole what was rightfully mine and made me into this."

As the voice spoke, the tripod cauldron rose in the air, violently shaking the chains that bound it.

I took a step back, my mind racing with questions.

"You see," the voice continued, its tone growing more menacing by the second, "this is what your soul has done to me made me a prisoner my own court my own hope the last time I was this Humiliated I was cast out, banished to the depths of that mortal realm, and you, you are nothing but an interloper who happened to steal from me."

The voice grew more Disoriented as it began to rage, as far as I could this was some soul trapped in that cauldron

I shook my head, refusing to believe the voice's claims. "No," I said firmly. "This body is mine. I am not some pawn in your twisted game."

The voice laughed again, a sound that grated on my nerves. "Oh, but you are," it said, its voice rising to a crescendo. "You are nothing but a speck of dust, an insignificant being who stumbled into something much bigger than yourself. This body is rightfully mine, and I will take it back, no matter the cost."

I gritted my teeth, my frustration boiling over. "No!" I yelled, my voice echoing through the hall. "I will not let you take control of me. I am not just some pawn in your twisted game. I am the rightful owner of this body, and I will fight to keep it."

The hall seemed to shake with our voices, the tension reaching its peak. The skeletons in the chairs rattled, and the caisson above the throne swayed ominously.

The voice growled, its anger palpable. "You dare defy me?" it roared. "You will regret this, you insignificant insect!"

I stood my ground, my heart pounding in my chest. "Bring it on," I challenged, my voice filled with determination.

As the voice and I continued to battle, the energy in the hall became increasingly charged, and the tension reached its peak. The entire realm seemed to quake under the intensity of our confrontation, as we refused to give in to one another.

Then, with a sudden burst of rage, the voice let out an ear-splitting scream, which shook the very foundations of the realm. I responded in kind, my own scream ringing out, unwilling to be silenced.

The sound was deafening, and for a moment, it felt as if reality itself was on the brink of collapse. But then, as quickly as it had begun, the screams subsided, and an eerie calm descended over the hall. The only sound remaining was the faint echo of our screams, as they blended together and vanished into the darkness.

The shadows began to creep towards me, stretching out their ghostly fingers. I retreated, moving backwards as quickly as I could, my feet carrying me away from the encroaching darkness. Suddenly, the entire hall was bathed in a blinding, white light, and when the light faded away, I found myself standing in a vast meadow, surrounded by an array of wildflowers, bursting with vibrant hues of red, blue, and yellow.

As soon as my eyes adjusted to the brightness, I noticed a figure seated in the center of the field, seemingly waiting for me. The figure wore a long flowing yellow robe, with red floating snake-like dragons dancing across the hem of its robe. In his hand, he held a large sword, while his feet rested upon his lap. The man slowly lifted his head, revealing a withered old man chained to the ground by white chains wrapped around his entire body.

His face looked haggard and worn as if he hadn't eaten in months, and his sunken brown eyes stared vacantly ahead, lost in thought. He seemed frail and weak as if he were about to collapse any minute. His hair was white and tangled, falling in front of one of his grey eyes. He was looking directly at me with a look of pure hatred, his mouth set in a sneer, his fingers digging into the dirt.

"You win, human," he said with a voice raspy and weak. "You win. What would you ask for my freedom?"

I stood there shell-shocked, The hatred in his eyes was palpable, and I could sense the centuries of resentment and bitterness that had led him to this moment.

I took a deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts. I couldn't let my emotions cloud my judgment. This was my chance to end the cycle of vengeance and break free from the clutches of this otherworldly realm.
