The next in line, the right lung, her 8th acupoint, did not give in like the others had.
Normally any other person in her place would be nothing but happy by now, but Luo Si was not satisfied with that. She wanted more. She wanted to know where her will could pull her to.
Relentlessly, qi waves were sent towards her right lung. However, no matter how hard she tried, it did not budge. As if to say, "become a cultivator first, then we will talk."
"Come on!" She tapped one of her feat impatiently. As a result, the book fell out from below the cotton-belt, bringing Luo Si further on edge.
'Things can't possibly get worse by now.' The scenario had taken a turn.
The inability of moving on with her plan put her in a quandary. There was another problem. The half squad posture turned out not to be very beginner friendly. Her legs were turning soar, reminding her of the morning walk she took before entering the capsule. She had only taken four rounds around the block before her legs and lungs protested in union. "We are but a student's body parts, an unsporting one at that!"
To make matters worse, the qi waves had made the surround meridians a little bit reactive.
The only reassuring point was that thanks to the ever-lowering posture she would not fall so easily.
Being in the moment of distress she took a look at the fallen book, wanting to know how much time was left.
'BULLS***!' The book had hit the ground at its spine, opening it on a 'random' page involuntarily. Things nearly got to the point of her wanting to blow out steam out of her nostrils, which would inevitably end up in a backlash. With all the qi absorbed into her body she would explode not just from rage.
'Shit. I can't lose focus.' Slapping herself mentally Luo Si continued on her assault.
To her surprise there was a flickering light coming from the opened page. 'This page, I don't think I have seen it before.!
Staring at it while focusing on her breathing, she realized that she had not seen this page when when flipping through the book. The flickering was also only seen on her left eye.
The book showed 8 detailly painted people. One of them, a scholar gripping a sword, was glowing every now and then as if calling for her.
This made her mind even more chaotic. 'What is this? Is the book telling me to...'
'Should I stay on the path or not?' It was the first time she questioned herself.
She widened her eyes a second later, considering her question acknowledged by the same source.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
He who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; he who does not ask a question remains a fool forever.
Since the book gave her an answer she would follow.
Luo Si lowered her arms. Letting go of the original posture, the hands overlapped into a tight grip around an imagined sword. Just like the depicted scholar did.
Mysteriously moved by the change, the qi inside her flew in one direction.

'NO!'
The energy had travelled in the right direction towards the right lung. It had taken a sharp turn though before reaching its destination, gathering at the lower tip of her shoulder blade.
All of that happened in a fracture of a second completely out of her control.
Sigh*
Reluctantly she returned back into the original meditating position at least wanting to finish what she started.
Luo Si sent a last qi wave towards the meridian residing inside her right lung. Like a child satisfied with its victory it quickly absorbed the prized energy.
"Oh; now you want to open, huh!?" To her surprise, there was already another path connected to the lung. It came from her shoulder-blade radiating in a light of its own.
Not wanting to let any more questions delude her mind she moved back on track.

The 9th meridian obediently opened, flooded by the releasing qi. It gave her a new surprise, seeing that the qi did not come from her shoulder blade, but from the originally connected 8th meridian.
Looking back at the lung meridian she could see 3 paths spreading from it. The 3 points encircled it like reprimanding the child of its misbehavior.
'Is the shoulder-blade meridian something like a switch, needed to be tapped onto before moving on?' Luo Si did not care about receiving an answer for this question. Instead, her lips hooked up to no end.
'What was that legs and heart, you want to give up? Bite me if you dare!' She ignored her screaming leg muscles and the newly formed blood stain her shirt, having found a new kick for drive.
Pa* Papapa*
The following meridians opened in quick succession, neither wanting to obstruct her path until she hit another wall.
The 16th meridian, the liver, had decided to take the role of the second spoiled child, unwilling to bend as well.
This time she was prepared, looking at the book again. As expected, a second figure lit up. This time it was a poorly clothed beggar drinking from a big gourd, half his size, in delight.
Without hesitation she followed the textbook, flipping the second switch.

…
The meridians were conquered like falling dominos. It seemed like nothing could stand in her way.
But as the saying goes, where fortune can grow, misfortune can flourish.
Not only was Luo Si working against time, her physical body also began to express the consequences of forcefully awakening.
Luo Si knew that the pain would only increase many folds. Her physical body was itching all over. But she remained unshaken by the physical pain.
Pa-pa* Pa*
Her body started to shake uncontrollably and turned red as the number reached 40.
Pa* PENG* Pa*
55. Her breath started to get rigged and her body felt like it lifted mount tai. The eyes were already bloodshot after veins popped up.
61. The pictures began to become unclear as her mind started to get dizzy. Cuts on her skin surfaced and thick blood flew out.
Only 3 more chakra points to go.

Looking at the lastly ignited picture however made Luo Si pause for a moment. "You can't be serious!" She gritted through her bleeding teeth.
The last picture showed an old hermit, devoid of all life force, falling backwards to his death.
There was no moment for hesitation though. Her feet like having gained a stronger will on its own fulfilled the books last wish. After all, their wish had finally overlapped.
Finding herself in the fall of no return she gathered her last remaining will, driving all energy left in her body towards the last meridian.
Her body suddenly stopped moving as it hit the ground. Her limbs lifelessly fell to the side.
"Is it over?"
"Did she die?" No one knew what happened.
"release"
