The blinding light faded as soon as it came. Darkness descended in its place, making everyone feel as if they had lost their vision.
The extreme changes in night and day were very taxing on the iris. Yet, not even half an incense length of time was needed for everyone to regain their eye sense.
The first ones to regain their vision looked towards the source of their demise. The perpetrator however, had seemingly vanished into thin air together with the lightshow. Seeing that there was no one standing beside the sphere all came to one conclusion.
'Fucking cheater.'
Luo Si walked out of the tomb and was greeted with the panorama of a setting sun.
Min village was casted in massive shadows as the sun descended on the higher hills surrounding it. A salty smell entered her nose when she looked left, greeted with an endless shining ocean reflecting orange sunrays onto her in the distance. On the other side, trees blocked her view into endless darkness. Some hungry eyes could be spotted looking back at the village.
A young 10-year-old looking boy dressed in expensive clothes with a pin on his vest walked up to her. It was the same pin the aristocrat had, just in white instead of golden.
The boy had an annoyed and dissatisfied look on his face as he stomped forward. "Hmph, a peasant like you does not deserve this book. You should be thankful towards uncle Hantian for lending you the book in the first place."
'So, the Elder that lend me the book is called Fu Hantian.' Luo Si thought to herself, not minding thetoodler rudeness.
The little boy scuffed as he saw the mark on Luo Si's hand. "Lowly servants like you have to bow to me, Fu Wuying, in my presence."
He pointed his left hand at Luo Si. A tattoo, similar to Luo Si's, with just the coin, lit up. She felt a pressure, executed from the mark on her hand that willed her body to bow. The command was not very strong as she brushed off the bowing command with a smirk and remained unmoved. Bow? Luo Si had sworn to herself long ago that only those evaluated worthy might receive her appreciation.
"I said BOW!" Wuying was a little enraged when he looked at her unmoved posture.
The will on the mark appeared again. Slightly stronger than last time, but Luo Si still did not show any reaction and had a lazy expression on her face.
"Bow, bow, BOW!" Wuying repeatedly used the mark until a voice rang from an expensively decorated tent.
"Wuying, didn't I give you the task to retrieve the book and needle."
The boy turned around and stomped away in a bad mood after forcefully grabbing the needle and book from Luo Si's hands.

Luo Si caught sight of two interesting looking eyes as her gaze followed the boy to the tent.
A voice appeared in her head. "The baptism area is to your left."
She gave a light nod and walked away.
Hong Luo Si arrived at a gate with the words 'Fresh Spring' written on top.
An old woman in turquoise clothes arrived from within and inspected Luo Si's body. "The way she walks... Her level of strength is definitely not low."
The old lady let out a deep sight. "You poor soul, not even born a week and already a slave. Your body and Soul seem to be injured from the awakening, and to a high degree at that. You must be in great pain, but don't worry. Everybody will receive some light injuries when they awaken. That's what you are here for."
Luo Si rolled her eyes. For the elder lady, Luo Si was badly damaged, but the latter only saw it as some small wounds.
She brought Luo Si to the baptism pool area after finishing the checkup.
The environment looked like many different sized spring pools wildly spread apart. The liquid, crystal clear.
"You can enter any one of these pools. They will heal your body and soul."
Luo Si was just looking around. It did not matter which pool she took or if she even took a bath at all. With the healing qigong what did she need other mending tools for?
Although, when she settled on a random pool, she stopped her steps. "Hmm?"
A guard wearing a coat, stood in front of a frozen pool to fend off the curious, who came close to the pool.
"You better keep your distance from that frozen pool." The old Lady answered. "That thing has been here for a decade or so. Nobody knows how it happened, but it has been told that one night the whole spring was frozen in an explosive sound."
"Both of your kin had the same look on their faces, but everybody gave up seeing that the pool would do them more harm than good."
She signaled the guard and he bashed at the frozen surface of the pool. The surface broke open and water busted out from the hole. Though, the water froze the next second, closing as fast as it was broken open.
'This ice is very hard.' Luo Si frowned at the thought that she could not crack open the surface if she tried, since even the soldier needed to gather a large amount of strength.
But that was not the only reason for her serious expressen. Her hightened perception told her something unusual. It was unnaturally cold and felt weirdly irregular.
The Lady could only shake her head as Luo Si acted like the other players had.
The latter walked up to the pool and looked through the surface. She spotted a faint light source from deep within the pool Since it was already dark and the sun was half set it was easier to see.
"Can you break the surface again?" Luo Si asked.
"Young miss, I know this well might seem very enticing, but let me tell you, even people at the peak of martial learner would have their hand frozen to death when coming in contact with it." The guard replied.
"~Please, just once?" Luo Si remained stoic.
"Just do it." The lady supported. Some people needed to be burned to acknowledge fire in her opinion. " She might not have felt the chilling frost from before and wants to prove herself, resisting the cold."
"Teenager." The guard muttered. "Alright. I recommend you to retreat a little since I'm going to make a big hole so that you can feel the cold for sure."
"I am good enough, thank you." Hong Luo Si remained directly in front of the well.
"Well, do as you please." The guard readied himself and threw a powerful fist, closing his eyes to not get touched by the water.
Splash*
"Hah, do you see now… "The coated soldier opened his eyes, but saw his words hit nothing but air.
He looked at the lady, who had a shocked look on her face.
"Where is the girl?" He asked and the lady pointed at the already frozen pool in daze.
"Crazy!"
