Summoning Argentina and the Falklands Islands
Chapter 15: The Parlpadian move.

Chapter 15: The Parlpadian move.

Chamber of Deputies of Argentina.

"With this the proposal to increase food rations to deputies and senators is approved by absolute majority." Spoke a deputy of the Juntos por el Cambio party.

"As there is no money for them to increase their salaries, they resort to hoarding more rations for themselves. This is going to cause another day of strikes and protests." Thought to himself the deputy of the National Concordance party, a branch of the Justicialist party which Cristobal is part of, a minority and irrelevant party that was put in charge of the country to serve as a scapegoat to the crisis. "As they see that Cristobal is having success, they are going to start agitating the population to demand elections, at this moment we would lose an election by a wide margin. We cant they present an effective opposition since they control the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate completely."

The congressman had in hand a draft bill to present formulated by Cristobal. Even with deputies and senators against him he could convince them because the other parties would not consider this party a real threat to their power, and the nature of the bill was something that was difficult to oppose without looking bad in front of the whole country.

"Ladies and gentlemen deputies," he said after taking the floor. "After days of research I have come to the conclusion that there is a huge loophole as far as the races of this world are concerned, our laws and rights do not protect the native races of this world."

"What do you mean? The universal declaration of human rights is included in our constitution, the natives that come to our country will be treated as any migrant or tourist and the laws will protect them." Cecilia Moreu, national deputy, asked.

"Actually no, the declaration of human rights only protects humans."

"What is this nonsense? These species have reasoning, thoughts, emotions and feelings. They are people like you or me!" Another deputy lashed out.

"In a philosophical and humanocentric concept yes, but genetic research confirmed that, rather than races, they are a completely different species from humans." Responded the concurring deputy.

"It is more than proven that there is mestizaje between all kinds of races, how can they not be human?

"The lions and tigers can also mix but that does not make them the same species, besides we are not the only ones who thinks that. The elves or dwarves are not considered human themselves either, and let's not even talk about the wind dragons, an intelligent race capable of communicating with us and living in harmony but that surely would laugh in the face of anyone who considers them human, so far the only native race that claims to have a kinship with humans are the demi-humans, however no genetic traces of any primate have been found in their DNA, so it is correct to state that they do not descend from a primate like us but from, well, canine ancestors, felines, etc. "

Surprise gripped the chamber of deputies, murmurs could be heard all over the place.

"Order, order. Order in the room." The national deputy tried to keep the situation under control.

"I know this has been very controversial." The deputy of the concordance spoke again. "But with this we can now all see the loophole in our constitution. As they are not legally human we cannot punish anyone who hurts a demi-human or an elf for example because they are not human, and obviously they are not animals either so we cannot apply the penalties against animal abuse. This means that non-human natives are completely helpless if they visit our country, which could cause serious diplomatic problems with the other nations of this world." Giving a slight pause to drink water. "That is why I propose a constitutional reform, specifically in the declaration of human rights; The word human should be removed from the entire constitution and should be replaced by the word Sapiens, this way all races and species with intelligence and reasoning will be constitutionally protected."

This proposal seemed to please the others, the deputy breathes easy knowing that with this he could save lives.

"From the Frente de Izquierda we support the proposal of the deputy of the concordance." Who spoke was Nocolas del Caño. "I would also like to propose that the term Demi-human not be used in official documentation."

Cristobal's deputy was confused to hear this.

"The reason for this is because the term demi has racist connotations, the term can be interpreted as half-human or that it is a lower rank than human, both of which can be interpreted in a derogatory way. A humanocentric word that we should fight, they should not be called beastmen either as it makes them look like they are savages."

"There we go, the modern left and its eternal struggle with its greatest enemy; words." Thought the deputy to himself. "They don't mind using that term, they call themselves that way."

"We don't have to call them that, that word can only be reserved for them, a people who have suffered the discrimination of humans."

"Pero la puta madre, now we have the D word!" annoyed, he then responds. "So what do we call them? We don't know if each species of demi-human has a name of its own, inventing a name for them ourselves I don't think is an option since it would be the human imposing itself."

"For that we will have to carry out sociological and anthropological studies in the different communities and ask them."

"I don't know why he tries so hard at this if the majority of the population is going to call them furros/furries."

Casa Rosada, Argentina.

Cristobal was pleased that the reform project has been received with a favorable opinion.

"In this way we will be able to more comfortably investigate magic and its applications in civil and military use as well as the biology and genetics of species. I wonder if we could find some gene in the elves that would allow us to live as long as they do... That would be very far from being realized, but it is worth dreaming."

Smiling and going through the paperwork.

"However, the native immigrants in this world are going to be vital for the country, if we want to supply the demand for consumer goods and defense we will need to expand the industry massively, both heavy and light industry to compensate for the loss of the markets of our world and make us a place in the market of this world. Which will be difficult without the cheap labor of immigrants."

Cristobal put the papers aside to stretch himself.

"Surely the delegation should already be arriving in Parlpadia, I hope there will be no more problems with them."

Esthirant, capital of the Parlpadian Empire

Kaios was watching in the harbor as two huge ships were approaching, he was about to get on the ship to go to Argentina, however apparently they had decided to come to him. He watched as the blue and white flag flamed on the ships, confirming who the visitors were.

"Those are not the same ships that confronted our wyvern knights... these are bigger."

With a length of 125m the destroyers Sarandí and Heroina arrived at the port, with a 127 mm OTO Melara cannon, 4 double mounts of 40 mm Breda Bofors guns, 2 quadruple launchers of MM.40 Exocet missiles, 1 eightfold launcher of Selenia Aspide surface-to-air missiles and 2 triple launchers of ILAS 3/324 mm torpedo tubes each were more than capable to defend themselves from whatever and return the blow in a forceful way.

"The Argentines arrived with heavy weapons to negotiate... if the report is correct, then that huge cannon can sink all our ships stationed here..."

Kaios was looking around the port, because it was being rebuilt there was no place for many ships to protect the capital in a maritime way.

"I hope that the conditions for peace will be acceptable.

Esthirant Palace, a week later.

Agustin was in a large salon, adorned with gold and silver ornaments and the finest curtains he could ever imagine.

Staying in a luxury suite with room service and large banquets every night, Agustin could identify that the Parlpadians were trying to soften him up for when the negotiations begin. But in the meantime he would enjoy the food.

He was starting to drink a glass of wine, but soon he left the wine on the table.

"Qua-Toyne's wine is much better." Muttering to himself.

At that moment the deputy director of the Parlpadian foreign affairs department, Kaios, enters the room.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Agustin."

Both diplomats politely shake hands and then begin negotiations.

"The pleasure is mine, I am glad that your country has welcomed us in spite of... the recent incidents." The Argentine diplomat spoke.

"Unfortunate incidents resulting from misunderstandings and ignorance between our nations. Argentina intervened twice against Parlpadian affairs." Although Kaios sought to keep Argentina from getting involved in this war, he also could not appear weak by brushing aside the events that had occurred. "I understand why your forces intervened on the continent Rodenius, they were unaware of our influence in the area and sought to secure that breadbasket called Qua-Toyne. However I do not understand their intervention in troops did not attack your forces directly, their fleet was safe until, publicly, they threatened the wyvern knights to enter the conflict."

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"The reason the captains agreed to send a warning was because of the fact that our diplomatic delegation was in Fenn's palace, they determined that the delegation was in danger from your forces." Agustin responded by protecting his soldiers. Knowing that this world is a strange place he could not afford to make himself look like the ones responsible for starting a fight, otherwise Parlpadia could see themselves as entitled to demand that those responsible be handed over to them for, probably, execution.

"However, it was your men who directly threatened mine, while I can understand the motives of your sailors that does not detract from the fact that it was your country that initiated hostilities by interposing itself in the mission of the subjugation army through threats." Kaios replied.

"It is strange that you say we started the hostilities when you were the ones who attacked first."

"The subjugation army had a mission that you prevented them from carrying out, you stated that you would attack us if the soldiers continued with the mission. It was a preemptive maneuver knowing that you were going to attack us inevitably."

"Again, it was to protect our delegation."

Neither seemed to budge on that point, they continued to talk for a few more minutes on the subject but soon saw that they were going in circles and neither wanted diplomatic relations to stagnate, so they agreed to leave this subject for another time.

"So, you are looking to open an embassy in Parlpadia? That can be arranged, however there is a problem with that request. Argentina has not been classified internationally as a civilized nation, I know this may sound rude, but for an uncivilized nation to open an embassy in a superpower would be... inappropriate." If this meeting had happened a month ago then Kaios would have scoffed at the absurdity of this proposal. But knowing his head was on the line he restrained himself. "It is a protocol we must follow, until the major powers visit your country and agree to give you civilized status opening an embassy in Esthirant will be impossible, so for the time being you will stay in a hotel and must go to the foreign affairs department if you have anything to communicate."

"I knew this division between civilizations was going to slow things down." Augustine thought to himself.

"On exterritoriality rights, it's something we can afford." Kaios pulls out a scroll and spreads it out. "To normalize relations between the two countries the emperor has made a proposal." On that scroll was a map of Philiades and Rodenius.

Agustin could see how the continent of Rodenius was in a different color than the rest of Philiades. "What does this map mean?"

"Parlpadia recognizes the Rodenius region as an area of Argentine influence, pledging not to intervene in the internal affairs of the continent and limiting diplomatic contact and trade with the countries of the region without first consulting with your nation. In return we expect the same from you with our sphere of influence in Philiades."

Agustin was quite surprised by this, he definitely did not expect that in his first meeting with Parlpadia they would offer them a whole continent. However, he quickly remembered the English and the attack they made.

This was good news, this meant that Parlpadia would not seek to fight them, however there were some problems with this proposal.

The first problem was that this was clearly imperialist, if the press found out about this agreement it would be the end of his career and Cristóbal, there was no way to justify this and the whole country would repudiate this agreement.

The second problem is Gahara, a lot of agreements have already been signed between them and Argentina as well as an investigation agreement with them on radio and electromagnetic waves, if the treaty is signed then they would have no choice but to abandon many deals and abandon many possibilities of investigation.

"However, I was sent to avoid a war, a refusal to this proposal could be interpreted as if we wanted to intervene in their sphere of influence, they definitely took the rejection of the agreement as an act of hostility. Nor can we use the garbage that we believe in the sovereignty of the peoples because we will never allow Quila to give oil to them." Agustín pondered trying to find an answer. "It is an interesting proposal, however our country has dealings with Gahara, an embassy and good relations, it would not be, emm... honorable to break relations between both countries so suddenly." Agustin answered.

"Gahara... In that case I should discuss it with the emperor if a scepter is to be made."

When the meeting was over, they both shook hands again to get out.

Two days later, Esthirant Palace, imperial council.

"... And those are the conditions that Mu offers."With that, the Council concludes with the report of the negotiations.

"They want 85% of the mine and to be given all the production for 10 years?! This is unacceptable!" Arde, the supreme commander of the Imperial Army was outraged.

"We are all outraged, but if we want them to stop supporting the Altarians and form an Esthirant-Otaheit axis against Leifor." Replied Hans.

The Emperor Ludius was furious at this insolence of the Muans, these demands were a humiliation. "Those bastards! I swear that once we put Leifor in his place we will go for them!"

"Without the support of the aircraft the Altarian air force will not be a threat to our landing forces, we will crush the enemies of the empire one by one your majesty."Arde I speak with a spirit of struggle and determination.

The emperor's teeth were grinding, he was reluctant to sign that agreement but he knew it was necessary. "Well, those damn Muans will have the rights to the mines... for now."He said reluctantly. "Kaios! I hope you have some good news regarding those barbaric Argentines." He said with a clear sign of annoyance.

"The Argentines accepted our proposal... for the most part, they claim that they have already opened relations with Gahara and ask that that country be an exception."

"Gahara? Those dragon riders aren't usually very open-minded. Elto, any idea what Argentina might want diplomatic relations with them?" Ludius was looking at the director of the foreign relations department.

"I think I have an idea, although on paper Gahara is in our sphere of influence in reality they are under the influence of the Emor superpower, most likely Argentina will try to get closer to Emor using Gahara as a mediator." The woman replied.

"Ha!, as if a barbarian nation could get an audience with Emor, those lizards are more isolationist than Mirishial. Well, let's grant them that exception. There's nothing useful about Gahara for us anyway. Is there anything new about Leifor or Gra Valkas?"

"If Your Majesty, apparently both nations communicated that they would send volunteers to Grameus, we still do not know how many soldiers or what they will take or when they will sail."Replied Lanos of the Intelligence Boreau.

"Let the intelligence bureau be vigilant, the Leiforians could use this opportunity to send weapons to our enemies."Ordered the Emperor.

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

"Director of the department of agriculture, how will this absence of the humid east wind affect us so much?"

"Your Majesty, thanks to our reserves we will be able to spend this year without many complications, we do not know the reasons why the winds have not arrived, but if it is something temporary then we have nothing to worry about." The director replied.

"However, if this persists we will have to resort to importing our own food, we could face the desertification of eastern Filiades! If we buy it from the first or second civilization the food costs will go through the roof!" Said Mewri, director of the finance department.

"Is there any country outside the civilized area that can supply our food needs in case the worst happens?" The emperor asked.

"If there is, Argentina, or rather one of the countries under the sphere of Argentina; Qua-Toyne."Kaios replied.

"I understand, once we defeat Altaras and Falklands we will set our sights on Argentina. But now we must ensure its neutrality."

Throne room.

"Your Majesty, I understand that we have no choice but to give in to Mu if we want to stop Leifor, but why give in so much to uncivilized savages like Argentina?! We should demand the submission of their country and crush them if they refuse!" The speaker was a beautiful woman with long silver hair, dressed in a long-sleeved black dress with blue fabrics surrounding the sleeves of her arms.

"We will demand it in due time, don't worry, it won't be for long." The emperor replied by drinking a cup of tea with milk.

"Argentina, Faklands, Altaras... All three dared to commit the sacrilege of humiliating our glorious empire! All three should be razed and exterminated!" The woman's voice was full of contempt, anger and disgust for those three nations.

"Altaras and Falklands yes... However, I have other plans with Argentina." Ludius was getting up to start walking towards a window. "They wanted to compete against us on an equal footing in Rodenius, which will need a special punishment. However, they have an enviable anti-aircraft power, as much as it pains me to say it... But we have a way to counter it."

Remille listened attentively to the words that came out of the emperor's mouth.

"Tell me, Remille, have you heard that both Mu and Mirishial were working on a submersible ship called a submarine? I guess so, that was the weapon the Falklanders used to attack our shipyards."He said the latter with an angry tone.

"Are we developing our own submarines?! The Parlpadian Empire is always moving in the right direction! With those weapons we won't have to worry about the Argentine cannons!"Remille said in wonder at the emperor's words.

"Not exactly submarines." Ludius gave a slight laugh. "It's something much better, if you want to know follow me. But the place where we are going is no place for a noble lady."

He started walking and Remille started following him.

Esthirant sewers.

Walking through the sewer of the capital, which looked more like a labyrinth, Remille kept her dress somewhat raised with one hand so that it would not get dirty with the filth of the city while with the other hand she covered her nose.

"What you are about to see is the most secret project of the empire, it is called the Project of the Depths... What do you know about the sylvan elves?"

"I-I just know that they really like forests and that their children can control animals."

"Yes, a very useful skill in the military field wasted on children, the ability to tame any beast is something that even the Ravernal Empire could not do! Now that power is in the hands of Parlpadia!" Ludios spoke with passion, as they continued to advance through the sewers.

"Have we been able to obtain that powerful magic?!" Remille exclaimed in surprise. "That means... we've been able to tame krakens?!"

"Exactly, while the rest of the nations waste their time researching submersible ships we have been able to tame the apex predator of the seas!"

At one point they arrive at an iron door, the emperor knocks on the door and a man opens it. Upon entering Remille saw how they had reached a huge cavern with access to the sea, that cavern there were hundreds of people working on what appeared to be a dock, only instead of ships docked there were a multitude of submerged cages.

"Twenty cages... we have 20 krakens?" Remille's voice was beginning to tremble. When the krakens attacked a ship it was almost always a death sentence for the crew. The only thing that could stop this full-grown sea monster was the 100-gun ships of the line.

"Argentina seems to have powerful and accurate naval guns, but with so few guns on their ships they simply won't be able to make a kraken retreat." Replied a man who approached the royal couple, this man was already an old man, in the skin and his teeth could be seen stains product of scurvy. On his shoulder was a mangy and very thin cat with a strange collar around its neck.

"The strength of the empire never ceases to amaze me! Every day our glorious empire grows stronger, all those who dared to mock us will desperately beg us to spare their pathetic lives!" She spoke full of pride and happiness. "Who are the brave heroes who will command these beasts? I'm sure controlling these monsters must not be easy."

"It is as you believe your highness, according to the tests we did the one who controls these things would expend a lot of energy and could die of exhaustion because they spend days inside the kraken's mind during the missions." Replied the man.

"I was wondering if I could meet one of the brave ones who would risk his life for the empire." She requested with a smile that evoked dignity and gratitude.

"You already know one." The man picks up the cat roughly and drops it to the ground. "Brat, don't keep a princess waiting."

Remille's expression had changed to one of disgust at the mistreatment of the animal, but then her expression turned to one of horror as she watched the cat's body deform and then take the form of a child, malnourished with multiple bruise marks on his body, pale from illness and a haggard expression on his face, without the youthful gleam in his eyes that characterized energetic, hunched over children. After the initial shock of a few seconds Remille could notice the child's pointed ears, he suddenly understood that the empire had not obtained the power possessed by the sylvan elven children, but that they were using the sylvan children as weapons.

"We have been able to get a good amount of sylvan elves thanks to our corsairs, we won't have to worry if a score die we will always have more. And if any of these brats try anything funny with the krakens..." The man clenches his fist very tightly and soon the boy's necklace was beginning to glow and shrink, the elf brought his thin hands to his neck but could not remove it.

"Th-that's enough! Stop this!" Remille exclaimed turning pale, seeing such a barbaric act made her head start to spin.

"Looks like this ride was too much for you, let's go back to the palace." Said Ludius who was unfazed by the situation.
