Chapter 3

“I’m worried about Karis,” said Adala. Master Turi looked at her.

“Fear, I sense,” she said softly. “A disturbance in the force, there has been.” Adala smacked her forehead.

“First off, that speech think you do is annoying. You’ve been speaking English for over 800 years, get it right. Second, must you always speak in riddles master?” asked Adala. Master Turi folded her hands.

“Riddles, I not speak in,” she said. “Pronoun game, I play.”

“Just great,” groaned Adala.

“Not needed, sass is,” said Master Turi. Adala stepped up.

“But that aside, why are we going through this again? It’s like every 5 seconds you feel a disturbance. The force is a constantly changing entity! Doesn’t it make sense that there would be a disturbance?”

“Different, this disturbance feels. Worse. Possibly indigestion,” said Turi. Adala rolled her eyes.

“But Master, what should I do with the girl?” said Adala.

“If train her, you cannot, then failure, you are,” said Turi. Adala looked at herself in shame. It was her that failed as a mentor.
