Most people NEVER openly discussed their stats, assuming they spent the money to have them checked at a church or by the military.
Pushing off the zombie corpses my hand pushed through the rib cage of one of the numerous bodies derailed my train of thought. Slime and black sludge with a disgusting viscosity connected my hand to the decaying corpse, all I could think was necromancy was a gross pursuit. Skeletons at least left a minimal mess... wait... okay, so a few things had changed the description no longer had
"I'm good, what the hell is this place?" I asked brushing off whatever sludge and dirt I could from what was a perfectly proper nobles attire.
A circular five meter massive stone door with a familiar bronze decal running straight through the middle was at the end of a stone corridor. The dirt floor we were on turned into a perfectly smooth blocked walkway about halfway to the door. Moving silently we both approached the door with [Hades Inferno] lighting up nearly the entire 'room' the corpses looked ancient as if they had been there for centuries. Smelling like they had been too, taking all my strength just to hold back throwing up the wine we all shared earlier. Next to the door was a large chest with engravings on it, I used
[Large Chest of Lasso] A storage box used by the goddess of healing before her ascension. Can be opened by one person only once before disintegrating.
[third tier reward]
Relaying the description to Zarlessa she motioned her hands in a shrug to her shoulders in response to the "third tier" part and pointed for me to open it, "You are the one who emptied a room of spookies. You earned it"
Not wanting to argue my hands greedily pushed the lid off the body of the chest. Cloth folded neatly ontop of a silver breast plate was at the bottom of the chest.
[Armor of Vitam-Third Tier] Crafted for the average foot soldier of the Vitam empire.
Red cloth is used to hold a silver plate in place. Both are imbued with large amounts of life magics letting the wearing expend mana in order to heal themselves.
{If the wearer has healing spells or enchantments will notify them of if the spell will work and at work effectiveness}
+15 hp
+10 mana
Taking a moment to equip the armor every single dead body in the room had a small floating text above it, {True Ice Resurrection. 100% effective}. Thinking how annoying this would get I wondered if it was possible to turn it off, no sooner after thinking this all the screens disappeared but I could still feel being able to use the spell on the corpses themselves. Deciding to test out the healing enchantment and knowing I took some damage after the fall I filled the armor with the intent to heal
Woah, so that took more mana then I expected, a last resort sort of a thing or maybe it was used to stabilize yourself until a real healer could make their way to you. Disregarding this we studied the door itself. Zarlessa held [Hades Inferno] close to the door to inspect it and the short sword began to vibrate and shine brighter. Then the bronze on the door did the same in response the weapons calls and shook the very ground like an earthquake with dirt shifting above our heads. With the door opened a stench of death and wet mold washed into the room drowning out the already sickly aroma. When the doors fully opened the shaking stopped, "For a second there I thought for sure-" I started, just then we both watched in seemingly slow motion as a small rock fell straight in between me and Zarlessa. She made a shush with her finger again and before I could register what she was doing I said, "the roof would collap-".
BOOM. Massive rocks started raining down around us so I grabbed Zarlessa forcefully by her clothes and threw her into the room hearing her land with a "oof". Just before the last of the ceiling came down I jumped in after her rolling a few times before catching my breathe laughing quietly like a lunatic at the situation.
"I swear to you. I... You... FUCK!" Zarlessa said as she got up. Low groans and growls from further in the stone death trap were the only response she was given.
