Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Sai was practicing Hactor Martial Arts. He was in the stance of a boxer poised for combat. The rhythmic beat of his movements echoed across the grassy field.

He stood outdoors, positioned on the grass, with a sizable tic-tac grid painted in white beneath his feet. This grid, starkly contrasting with the lively green of the surrounding grass.

His fists pierced the air with meticulous precision. Following that, he executed low kicks and knee strikes with a deadly grace. Sai moved across the white grid, advancing and retreating, shifting left and right, in an effort to master the intricate footwork that was written in the manual of Hactor Martial Arts.

As time progressed, Sai's skill increased, and the subtleties of Hactor Martial Arts unfolded before him like pages from an ancient manuscript. Engrossed in his practice, Sai delved into the mysteries of combat and self-mastery, gradually unlocking its secrets.

A pink haired child fairy was zipping through the air and then when she spotted Sai practicing went toward him. “Found you! No time to explain, come with me!”

“Wait what?”

“Just follow me!”

Sai decided to follow, since he recognized the pink haired fairy as one of Clarissa's friends.

----

Sai eventually recalled the name of the pink-haired fairy,.Valentina. With the recollection, he found himself trailing behind her as they made their way toward the exit of the Fairy Community.

Awaiting them at the edge of the barrier were Clarissa and Juliana. The trio, consisting of Clarissa, Juliana, and Valentina, proceeded through the barrier, departing the Fairy Community.

Sai hesitated briefly, pondering his decision, before ultimately following the three young fairies out of the Fairy Community.

Now standing in the Ironthorn Forest alongside the child fairies, Sai sought clarification. He asked, "Can someone please tell me what we’re doing?"

The child fairies exchanged glances, and it was Clarissa who responded. "Our friend Natalia is in trouble. She wasn’t supposed to leave the Fairy Community, but she's a battle junkie, eager to confront Land Dragons, Tigers, and even a Divine Beast."

Valentina chimed in, expressing a sense of foreboding. "I have a bad feeling about Natalia. My Magic Affinity is Luck, and I'm usually right about these things." Valentina then looked at Juliana. “Why didn’t you stop her! Aren’t you the responsible one!”

Juliana responded “I’ll be chaining her to a tree when we get back. Besides, I am more worried about her opponent than her.”

Sai raised his hand, “Are we allowed out of the forest right now? From what I know there's a territory dispute with the Magic Beast and Land Dragons.”

Valentina said, “We are not abandoning Natalia! We are going to drag her back kicking and screaming!”

Clarissa then explained, "Will you help us? We needed more strength given the dangers. And your strong. Like really strong.”

Bam!

Sai smacked his fist together. “I will help you save Natalia.”

The group ventured into the Ironthorn Forest to save Natalia.

---

As Valentina guided the group through the Ironthorn Forest, they unexpectedly encountered a Land Dragon.

"Is that Tree Sapper?" Sai remarked, recognizing the creature.

Compared to Sai's previous encounter, the Land Dragon appeared much thinner, with dried red blood staining its skin.

Juliana urged, "Let's move on. It seems like it's on the brink of death anyway."

Sai gazed at the wounded Land Dragon and shook his head, saying, "It doesn't feel right. Can I have a potion Clarrisa? I want to help it."

"I will give you a potion," Clarissa agreed, retrieving a potion from her bag.

Approaching the Land Dragon with caution, Sai poured the potions on the Land Dragon wounds.

A potion did a fantastic job as it closed the Land Dragon wounds.

Growl.

Tree Sapper growled softly. It got up slowly. Then it gave a small nuzzle to Sai's leg. It slowly moved to the bushes and disappeared from sight.

Sai smiled, feeling happy that Tree Sapper was healed.

Clap! Clap!

Juliana clapped loudly and said, "Let's move on. We need to find Natalia."

----

The night air was filled with the cacophony of screams and the hissing of Magic Beasts. The desperate cries reached the ears of those nearby, drawing them like moths to a flame.

A group of Tigers, Dire Wolves, Bears, and Land Dragons were in the chaotic scene. A lone fairy stood amidst the circling predators. Natalia.

Standing atop a dead bear, Natalia's demeanor was a haunting blend of ferocity and madness. A hand missing, her remaining one gripped a double-headed sword, its blade coated in the grotesque hues of fresh blood. An ethereal rainbow aura enveloped her, a surreal contrast to the brutality she unleashed.

"More! Give me more!" Natalia's voice echoed, a chilling roar accompanied by a blood-stained smile.

A tiger rushed toward Natalia. Natalia swiftly divided it with a swing of her sword. The creature was subsequently cut into ten separate pieces, further reduced to hundreds of pieces.

The Land Dragons, a formidable force, descended upon her in a coordinated assault. In response, Natalia transformed into a whirlwind of death, her movements a deadly dance that sliced through the scaly adversaries with unnatural grace.

Yet, the Land Dragons proved resilient, regenerating limbs and wounds with supernatural speed. Simultaneously, the Magic Beasts unleashed magical onslaughts, but Natalia, in a bizarre ballet, dodged each attack with erratic yet graceful maneuvers.

Sai found himself entranced by Natalia's deadly performance. She was a force of destruction, a living nightmare.

Valentina's worry etched deep lines on her face. "We need to save her! She's in danger!"

Juliana raised her in disbelief. "She's not in danger. She is the danger! In her berserker mode, she'll kill everything around her!"

Clarissa's eyes glowed as she assessed Natalia. "This is bad. She has been promoted from Proficient Life Mage to Master Life Mage."

Juliana, raising her hand in the air, declared, "She's a Master now! We struggled to stop her in her Proficient stage. How do we stop her now?"

Valentina pleaded, "She needs our help! At this rate, she'll die!"

Clarissa reassured, "We brought a Hero to handle Natalia."

The three child fairies gazed at him with hopeful expectation, while Sai questioned the choices that had led them to this moment.

Sai grappled with the conundrum of neutralizing Natalia's berserk assault without causing harm to her.

Juliana touched the ground, she summoned earth spikes to partition the Land Dragon and the array of Magic Beasts. Juliana with a commanding gesture, she conjured missiles of flame that soared toward the entangled foes, scorching the scaled hides of some. Yet, the Magic Beasts, undeterred, surged forward with hostile intent. Responding deftly, Juliana called forth a tempest of wind to repel the advancing adversaries, followed by torrents of water that ensnared a few Land Dragons.

Clarissa drank a potion transformed into a large grizzly bear and started to battle another grizzly bear.

Valentina, wielding a whip with a flair, lashed out at any Land Dragon or Magic Beast within her reach, imposing order upon chaos.

Natalia, akin to a force of nature, advanced toward the group with her dual-headed swords in a mesmerizing dance of destruction.

Sai intercepted Natalia's berserking charge, attempting to subdue the frenzied Fairy.

Natalia, with a swift and precise strike, brought her sword down upon Sai's neck, followed by a series of slashes that bruised Sai's body.

Sai was super glad his Durability was allowing him to survive the onslaught.

Undeterred by the relentless assault, Sai tried to grapple with Natalia. Yet, she proved elusive like a butterfly.

“Why won’t you bleed!” Natalia yelled.

“Because I am a super tough cookie!” Sai yelled back.

Sai transitioned to the offensive, launching strikes at Natalia who deftly evaded or parried each blow. The clash intensified, the combatants engaging in a symphony of clashes and maneuvers.

Sai endured Natalia's relentless onslaught, the repeated strikes of her sword beating against him like a tempest. With each impact, Sai's realization deepened, an understanding that the ceaseless barrage threatened to bring about his death.

His heartbeat quickened, a rhythmic reminder of mortality. In the whirlwind of the clash, Sai envisioned the specter of his own death, the specter of bleeding away his life in the face of Natalia's relentless assault.

Determined not to succumb without a fight, Sai clenched his teeth, a silent oath echoing in the core of his being. He forged forward, defying the looming shadow of impending death, launching a swift jab toward Natalia.

But she, a tempest of blades, deftly evaded his attempt, responding with a punishing strike to his torso that elicited a pained wince from Sai. Undeterred, Natalia directed another assault, this time targeting Sai's arm.

Clang!

The clash of metal against flesh echoed through the clearing. Sai intercepted the attack with his fist.

In the crucible of battle, Sai found a profound focus, an immersion into the zone where clarity reigned. His heartbeat, once a frantic reminder of mortality, became a steady cadence guiding him through the tumultuous dance with Natalia's blades.

Natalia, now incensed by the elusiveness of her strikes, intensified her assault, a whirlwind of steel propelled by fury. Undeterred, Sai moved with a fluid grace, sidestepping each impending blow, his movements a testament to the Hactor Martial Arts footwork he had practiced.

Natalia, frustrated by the elusiveness of her adversary, launched an accelerated barrage of strikes. Sai, undaunted, advanced to meet the onslaught head-on. Fist met blade in a resounding collision, the metallic ring echoing through the clearing.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

The minutes stretched into what felt like hours, an agonizing passage of time marked by the unyielding clash of fist and blades and the thud of blows exchanged.

The relentless clash between Sai and Natalia persisted unabated, neither side yielding in the face of the relentless assault. Sai's fists bore the brunt of the prolonged engagement, each strike inflicting its toll, an echo of the enduring battle.

As the intensity of the confrontation escalated, a palpable tension hung in the air. It became evident that something would inevitably give way. Either Sai's unyielding Durability would falter, succumbing to the ceaseless barrage, or Natalia's stamina would wane, her fervor extinguished by the demands of the protracted battle.

Then, a subtle shift occurred in the battlefield. Natalia's vibrant rainbow aura, emblematic of her ferocity, began to recede like a retreating storm.

In the waning moments of the duel, Sai summoned the last reserves of his strength. The final clash saw him propel Natalia across the clearing.

“Hahaha!” Natalia laughed as she was laying on the ground and she said. “Hero Sai! That was one of the best fights I ever experienced! We should battle again!”

Sai rubbed his bruised knuckles. “I hope we never fight again.”

Clarissa went to Natalia. “Rabbit or snail?”

Natalia responded. “Huh?”

Clarissa poured an unknown liquid onto Natalia. In a puff of smoke, Natalia was turned into a frog.

Clarissa picked up the frog. “My frog terrarium has a new roommate.”

Sai was going to say something, however decided to stay quiet for fear of being turned into an animal.

Juliana and Valentina finished defeating the Land Dragons and Magic Beast.

Juliana started to poke the frog Natalia with a stick. “Heh. I am going to feed you so many bugs.”

Valentia screeched. “Don’t bully Natalia!”

Sai and the three child fairies and one frog traveled back to the Fairy Community.
