Sai sat at a round table in the bustling bar, surrounded by a lively crowd of people reveling in the atmosphere. The air was filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and the melody of music that echoed through the room.
Across from him was a young knight or squire. The squire had youthful charm and freckles sprinkled across his cheeks and nose, with his hair being between red and orange color. The squire wore a sturdy yet slightly worn tunic. The fabric displayed shades of earthy tones that blended harmoniously with his hair.
Sai was wondering how he got into the bar. He looked around, looking for any clues to jog his memory.
The squire took a long gulp of his mug that was foaming with alcohol and sighing in relief after he finished. “That hits the spot!” The squire mischievous smile to Sai. “Hey Junior, it is nice to finally meet you. The name is Mitton Shadow. You could say I’m your predecessor.”
“Where am I?” Sai asked, looking around the tavern.
“Your in my soul,” Mitton lifted his mug. “We are in The Grouchy Cat Tavern that I used to visit when I was alive. How about you enjoy some good food and drinks.”
The table was covered with pies, chicken drums, soup and various colored drinks. “Let's party!” Mitton shouted, raising his mug in the air. The crowd cheered with him.
Sai watched the chicken drum with relevance. An entire three weeks with only bread and jerky for food made the chicken drum look super appetizing. Sai took the drum stick and chowed down.
It was only after Sai finished his satisfying meal that he looked over to Mitton and asked. “So... what do you want?”
Mitton wiped the alcohol from his mouth. “Your the one who has been trying to call me. Shouldn’t be asking you that.”
Sai tapped his finger on the table. “As you know, I’m a new hero. Can you give me tips on how to get stronger.”
“Sure sure,” Mitton said with a large smile. “I’ve been a hero for fifteen long years. Started to train when I was five years old. I was born a hero, while you guys and gals have been summoned as heroes. My wisdom and experience will have you shooting to the moon with power... I just need to ask you for two favors.”

“Go ahead and ask.”
“You meant Benjamin? Can you report to the royalty or government that he is planning to destroy the Demon Gate in the palace dungeon and surrounding areas.”
“Demon Gate, that doesn’t sound good.”
“Yup, if you didn’t know the Dungeons are a gateway to the Demon World. Some ancient hero or sage no one really knows who, they made a metal door to block the entrance to the higher levels. The Demon Gate is between the 15 and 16 levels, not only they stop the Demons from invading the mortal world, they also stop the stronger Horned Dogs and Brutal Dogs from flooding out.”
“I have some question. Can we recreate the Demon Gate or repair it? The Demon Gates sound very important.”
Mitton shrugged. “The Demon Gates are super strong and for some reason, can’t be absorbed by the Dungeon. If a person dies or leaves any item in a dungeon, the dungeon will absorb the object and recycle it. That is what makes Demon Gate so special, they aren't absorbed by the dungeon. No one knows how to recreate Demon Gates, it was lost in history. However, we can repair it.”
“What will happen if the Demon Gate is destroyed? Nothing good I guess,” Sai asked, leaning back.
“Nothing now, however when the invasion starts, low ranking demons will flood out and attack the capital and their citizens. It will knightmare to defend the inside and the outside from the demons.”
“Do you want me to stop him?” Sai asked seriously.
Mitton shook his head. “I don’t want you to be involved in this. Let the royal and their ever so galant flawless knight and mages handle Benjamin. It would make me feel guilty if I asked a young hero to clean up my mess. Especially if you ended up dead or worse.”
Sai sighed, he weighed the lives of the people of the capitol and the risk involved. He bitterly realized he wasn’t going to leave this alone. “Alright what your other request.”
Mitton had an embarrassed expression on his face. “My mother. I mean my Fairy Godmother. Her name is Naomi, a fairy and a Master of Shadows. Can you give her a message for me?” Mitton looked away. “I really am a terrible son aren’t I. Dying and leaving her alone...”
Sai nodded his head and moved his fist to his heart. “You can count on me. Go ahead and tell me the message.”
Mitton happily told Sai the message.
Mitton then told Sai a list of ways to boost his own power.

Sai woke up in the Time Chamber.
Slither was still sleeping.
Sai put on the lamp to brighten the dark room.
Grabbing his pen and notebook, Sai started to write down the message the hero Mitton had left for his Godmother. He then wrote down the tips and tricks that Mitton used in his lifetime to grow in power.
The Seeker Ring on Sai hand would twinkle softly and then fade.
