Intelligence - Humanoid
Strength - Above Human
Magic - Above Human
Rarity - Common
Dryads are formed of vines, roots, and leaves tightly wound together into a humanoid form. Their hair is mossy, and they have black eyes. Frequently dryads will also have flowers on them. They tend towards a feminine form, but as plants, they don't follow human genders.
Dryads are fey creatures which means they aren't automatically hostile to humans. However they have strong feelings towards plant life and a general tendency to work together, so if a labyrinth is well traveled they're usually already hostile because of people harvesting the area. Labyrinths where the dryads aren't hostile frequently have strong rules to not aggravate them, though dealing with the fey is still dangerous. If you are trying to avoid a fight, don't harm plants or eat vegetables in front of them. Fruits are considered fine however, and in some cases encouraged. Dryads like it when humans spread seeds.
As one might expect, dryads are weak to fire. However they have a number of close range attacks and can sometimes use poison. They all can animate treants, and will do so if threatened. And they have a number of unique abilities and features depending on their formative plants.

Friendly, or tricky, dryads have been known to use seduction alongside an aphrodisiac pollen. It doesn't affect the mind so those affected by it just get a little bothered. The real danger comes to those who are allergic to the pollen. Heavy sneezing leaves you vulnerable.
Merge
Common Name : Treefolk
Benefits : Plant Magic, Pheromones, Photosynthesis
Weaknesses : Rooting
Treefolk gain a lot of benefits from their merges. Green skin is universal, but hair colors span the whole rainbow, and they frequently get flowers in their hair. The merge gives them an instinctive mastery over plants, allowing them to cast basic plant magic spells without study and enhancing the spells of those who choose to focus. They also can photosynthesize, meaning an hour sunbathing can cover a meal. Lastly they have improved pheromones. It's hard to say exactly how effective that is, but treefolk make friends (and enemies) faster than most.
The primary downside comes from rooting. When sleeping, treefolk will instinctively try to dig into the ground with roots. This can lead to falls out of bed and sleepwalking if they lay down somewhere without good dirt to grow into. They also have to draw back in those roots when they wake, meaning they aren't fast to get up in the morning.
Dryad merges are considered good, but are uncommon. For someone to go for a dryad merge means they have an interest in devoting their life to plants, and also enough money to get a Level III monster merge. That's something outside the average farmer's means.

The flowers that treefolk grow on their bodies tend to have very muted fragrance but excellent color and vitality. Those flowers are highly sought after for floral arrangements due to how long they can last even without water..
