Chapter 3: Power system and hierarchy.

Chapter 3: Power system and hierarchy.

Roughly 1 year after world generation.

--

(4th character introduced) Veris, male, long black hair held up by a ponytail, wearing traditional monk garb, summarized body type: compact and sturdy.

I've been around since the dawn of time, or in other terms I came soon after Kaede, at first, we were clueless monkey's with no true meaning or purpose, but the events that have brought me to greater heights revealed the truth to me, fighting. We were peaceful, not even knowing of any further power besides consumption and rest. I was the same as the others for quite a while, until he came that is...

(Explanation)

Around 6 and a half months after world generation Kaede began teaching the conscious creatures of this world more about Fey. She showed them how Fey react to sound and movements, just only certain kinds, as well as the fact that Fey have more of a liking to some people than others. Through this, the conscious creatures slowly but surely started to gain the ability to shape the world around them. By instructing Fey via sounds, motions and written language you can tell them to affect the real world in pretty much any way, the only limit is how well you can communicate.

(Back to the 4th character introduced) Veris.

One dark night, as the moon was at full bloom in the sky, creating soft, calming light all around, I sat still as I normally did, as I always did.

Taking a deep breath in, I enjoyed the world around me deeply, I was at total peace... Nothing could have ruined that moment for me, or at least that's what I made myself believe back then, I mean, after all, who would try to ruin a perfect world?

The sound of footsteps interrupted the calming silence of the night, I turned my head to see who it was, and to my horror, the man standing in front of me was Chandler. The one man who I feared, the one man anyone feared.

--

(The 3rd and the suffering) Chandler. Male, light brown hair, almost blonde, summarized body type: sturdy and muscular.

It's been a while...

I'm no longer tired after each day, I no longer scream and cry, I've just accepted my fate in this world. After I gained the ability to feel Fey I started slowly but surely understanding them, what each texture meant, what each weight meant. It all became natural to me after a while, with the slightest sensation I knew how many Fey were around me and which ones were which. And as I accepted Fey and the new sense I gained I started to accept the world, I tried talking to other people more, I started telling them about my hunts, about my adventures of trying to find food, and they finally seemed like they were okay with my existence.

Rumors spread quick though, when people start to think even the smallest bad things about a person who's different the difference starts to look incredibly bad, it becomes scary to them.

"Get away from us you mistake!" A man with pure white hair stopped me on the way to the central village, holding his palm out towards me, a torch in his opposite hand.

My face sank into a disappointed expression, I stared straight at him, thinking to myself, 'So they really were hiding the fact they hated me.'

He took a few steps back, his face in visible disgust, "Give me one reason why I shouldn't rid the world of a mistake!"

I sighed, the cold air turning my breath visible, "I haven't hurt you."

He took an offensive stance, his palm still held out towards me, "Yet- you haven't hurt anyone, yet- we know how you feel about us, I can't let you hurt anyone..."

I took a single step towards him, my face entirely devoid of emotion, "If you're gonna take me out anyways... Then I guess it's okay for me to let some frustration."

The man extended his arm towards me in it's entirely and shouted, "Manrus!" I knew those words, they were a simple way of telling Fey to burn a certain area with flames.

I closed my eyes, the soft cold wind creating an otherworldly sense of calm within me. The Fey around me began to scatter as they could see the impending doom I couldn't. Rough Fey began rubbing up against my skin, could tell that there was more in the air around me as well. I could sense them being activated.

I moved my hands out in front of me, feeling the Fey gather everywhere around my outstretched arms. I used my true ability, 'Pure Fey manipulation!'

(Ability description) Pure Fey manipulation: When another entity besides the user of Pure Fey manipulation tells Fey to enter the real world or "Activate," the user can bend and redirect any activated Fey with their hands and feet.

The fireball that would've formed directly on me instead bent around my body, as if an invisible shield were stopping the flames.

I immediately launched myself towards the man and slammed my fist directly into his chest, sending him flying into the nearest tree and creating a crater upon impact.

"You made a mistake trying to kill me, and although I wish I could continue being peaceful, you guys don't seem like you want that." I placed a hand on his shoulder, looking at him with a monotone stare. And with one swift movement, my arm had pierced into his chest and gone through his heart.

"So it is like the other animals..."
