Six in One - Journey of a Pasts Mistake
Chapter 17: Let's Get Rich

Chapter 17: Let's Get Rich

Later they were at the same inn from last night eating some breakfast, this time with Roxy.

“You’re telling me you're a magician? You can take anything out of your bag??”

Aqua almost spat out her food.

“You don’t believe me? Hmm? Name something then.”

“A left shoe.”

She put it on the table.

“How about… a flute!”

She also put it on the table. At this point she was getting desperate.

“I got it… an umbrella!!”

Roxy reached into her bag and her hand came out with a mini pink umbrella, which she put on the side of her drink. She subtly glanced at Ray.

“I can’t win…”

Aqua held her head in defeat.

“He he, you have to call me a magician after that one.”

“Nooo…”

“So where are we going next?”

Ray spoke up about what they all wanted to know.

“We?”

Aqua looked over to Roxy.

“Don’t worry, I’m coming too.

Roxy reached back in and pulled out six more coloured umbrellas.

“So Ray…”

She also pulled out a seemingly hand drawn map.

“These are us.”

She pointed the ends of the blue and green umbrella at the human territory, specifically, Alcard. While leaving the rest untouched.

“We need to find Reina, Elza, Airi and Luna. The red, yellow, white and purple represent each respectively.”

“Why those colours?”

“I like them?... I'm joking. It’s just our hair colour. Anyway Aqua, Where do you think they all are?”

“Hmm… Wait, why me?”

“You found me right?”

“Yes?”

“Well how did you find me?”

“I had a feeling…”

“Well if you haven’t figured it out yourself yet it can’t be helped. Where do you feel they are then?”

“What? That’s all it is...”

Aqua picked up the red umbrella and moved it onto the map.

“Reina would be rebelling against the demons… Past Demi borders.”

The yellow umbrella was next.

“I think Elza would be in an elven city, maybe she turned to the church?”

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Then the white one.

“Airi is working as an adventurer. I know for sure she is, but she could be anywhere in the demi territory.”

Finally the purple. She took a while before speaking.

“I… I have no idea. There’s some sort of fog around her in my mind… She could be anywhere.”

“Maybe she doesn't want to be found.”

“Ray might be correct, she said we shouldn’t see her again. I just hope she’s okay.”

“So who should we try to find first?”

“I think Elza’s the closest. We would at least get a better idea if we go to the new elf capital, Melgard.”

“What would be the fastest way there?”

“Hmm… We could go to a port city, and get on a boat… but that would cost…”

“Too much.”

They were in unanimous agreement on this.

“We are going to be travelling around a lot…”

“Any magic we can use?”

“Nothing long distance unless you have a really really big mana crystal.”

“What if we just get a boat?”

“GET A B-? wait, that actually might work.”

“It depends… Does anyone here know how to sail?”

“Haha, no.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever been on a boat.”

“Well I think you would be great at it, Aqua.”

“Huh? Where would I even learn it?”

“First things first, we need cash.”

“How could we get that much? A small ship would cost…”

Aqua was looking distressed.

“You guys are rank B adventurers right?”

“Yeah?”

“Then I’m joining your party. We have to take some risky job’s for this one.”

“Uh oh.”

“I’m worried.”

“You should be haha… Let’s get to the guild!”

Roxy slammed down on the table below her as they set off for the guild. On the wall there were many different requests all with different pictures ranging from a wolf to an entire dragon. Roxy was at the reception talking to a lady with long pink hair and bunny ears, pointing at them while talking, presumably signing up and joining the party.

“Ray, do you think we could do the dragon one? Probably not right?”

“Well it certainly pays well... But dragons are pretty scary.”

“Yeah I’ve heard the stories about them.”

“When you really see what they are, you’ll understand that even one dragon is too many dragons.”

“I see.”

Aqua laughed a little.

“Well we still need to find one of these to do. Out of the corner of his vision, a request caught his eye.

“Get a… rainbow rabbit hide?”

“Huh?”

“One… hundred GOLD?!”

“HUH?”

“Doesn't that get us there already.”

Ray took the quest in his hand as they walked to reception. While Roxy was talking to another lady next to them they handed the quest to a blonde lady behind the counter.

“We would like to accept this quest.”

She took a glance at it and spoke.

“I’m sorry but I wouldn’t recommend that quest…”

“What? Why?”

She sighed and whispered to herself.

“That’s the fifth time today…”

“Hmm?”

“Do you know what a rainbow rabbit is?”

“I'm almost scared to say a rainbow coloured rabbit.”

“Even if you find one… It’s a ferocious rare monster who uses light magic to lure in their prey.”

“Well where can we find one?”

“That’s the thing, you can’t.”

“What do you mean we can’t?”

“It’s just a rumour anyway, we don’t even know if it exists-”

“-Then why was it accepted as a quest?”

Roxy was finished signing up and came out of nowhere. She had finished what she was doing and spoke up against the receptionist.

“Roxy?”

“We’re taking this quest!”

“You have a plan?”

She just nodded.

“Are you sure about this?”

“No! But it’s worth a try.”

With that the quest was in their hands. They made their way outside.
