The outer section wasn't only a field inside a dome; it was filled with buildings that kept the criminals imprisoned.
"Uh, where are we going?" The puny human asked as he followed Brent.
They walked inside a building where there were not a lot of criminals around.
'Why is this place so empty?' He thought as he looked around. There were only a few criminals, and whenever he looked at them, they would glare at him.
'Is it their area or something?' He thought.
"Like I said earlier, we are going to Beth. I will tell the rest after reaching there." Brent replied to his question as he kept walking.
"...Brent, can I ask you a question?" After some thinking, the puny human said as he looked at him.
"Huh? What?" Brent said it without bothering to look back.
"What's your ability?"
He asked.
Upon hearing the question, Brent froze as he looked at him.
"Are you stupid or crazy?" He said this as the puny human felt confused.
"Why?" He said as he looked at Brent being dramatic.
"It's disrespectful to ask others about their abilities. If you had asked it to anyone else, your head would have been chopped off." He said this as he grabbed the puny human on his shoulder.
"I have a question: were you born just this morning?" He said this as he looked at him.
"O-of course not," the puny human replied as he felt intimitated.
"Then why is it that you don't know anything?" He asked.
"..." The puny human went silent as he quickly tried to come up with an excuse.
"I was just asking about your ability since we are together on this mission." He said.
Brent went silent as he released his hands and sighed.
"Just don't ask this question to others. Its taboo. There have been a lot of heads chopped off due to fools asking this question to nobles." Brent replied as he started walking.
'...This world is a lot more violent than Earth.' The puny human thought as he rubbed his neck.
'Gotta be careful.' He thought as he followed him.
"Anyway, my ability is nothing special. It is related to my own vision; I can see how many people a person has killed." Brent said.
'...Thats a unique ability.'
"Then can you tell how many people I have killed?" The puny human said as he was curious.
"Zero." Brent immediately replied.
'...Thank god.'
Guess he wasn't a murdurer yet.
Feeling a little happy and satisfied, he followed Brent silently.

"Now now, old man, don't be so dirty."
Inside a washroom, a girl with brown hair, sitting on a chair, said as she looked at the bald old man crouching on the ground before her.
"Ugh. Dirty slu-"

BAM
Before the old man could even finish his sentence, he was sent flying towards the wall as his body slammed into it.
"You see, I didn't allow you to speak yet." Beth said as she crossed her legs.
"Now stand up." She ordered, but the body that was lying on the wall didn't move at all.
"Looks like he fainted." Beth muttered as she looked at the other two people beside the bald man.
"You two are his bodyguard, aren't you? Why aren't you protecting him?" She said as she looked towards the two bodyguards who were crouching on the ground.
"Sigh. Just a punch turned you into this state. How were you even planning on protecting him?" She said this as she just sat in the chair.
Clack
Just then, the door to the washroom opened as two individuals walked in.
"I told you to not make any mess."
As soon as Brent walked in, he started to nag at her as she retorted.
"Shut up. I only punched them once." She said this as the puny human shuddered.
'Just one punch, and their condition is this.' He thought as he looked at the bodyguards and the bald man from before.
'She is strong.' He thought as he looked at Beth.
"Uhh, calm down, guys." He tried to calm them down, which worked as the two looked at him and went silent.
'Huh? That's unexpected.' Surprised by how they listened to him this quickly, he felt strange.
"Anyway. How much have you gathered till now?" Brent asked Beth as she frowned.
"Not much," she said as she looked towards the bald man.
"It seems he wasn't very influential; he didn't have much information at all," she said.
"Hmm... if he didn't know, then there is definitely a division among the criminals." Brent said as he looked at the two bodyguards.
"You two, why were you guarding him?" He asked, as he felt something suspicious.
"He took us under his wing. We promised to pay back by protecting him." One of them said this as Beth frowned.
"For someone who promised to protect, you tw-"
BANG BANG
Before Beth could finish her words, someone banged on the door.
"Hey fuckers. Why are you locking the washroom? OPEN UP."
Someone said this as Beth closed her mouth.
"Brent, I think it's better if we get out of here." She said this as Brent nodded his head.
Opening the door, they walked out as they were met with multiple cursings and glares from criminals who were waiting in line to go to the washroom.
'Sigh. I hope he doesn't become suspicious and just completes the task.' The puny human thought as he followed the two siblings.
"Ok guys, let's split up here; I will inform you if something happens." Beth said as she walked away from them.
"Does she like working alone?" The puny human said this as Brent nodded his head.
"Yea. She's been like this since childhood." He replied.
'Siblings. I really wanted a sibling myself; being a single child was lonely in its own way.' he thought as he remembered one time asking his mother for a sibling.
Crash
'No, stop thinking about that. Stop. Stop.'
An unpleasant memory of his past life suddenly resurfaced in his mind as he tried to bury it again.
He couldn't afford to be emotionally unstable. Not in this place and condition.
"Let's go; we have to report to General Kent." Brent said as the puny human froze.
"Huh? Now?" He said.
"Yes, now. What? You don't want to go?" Brent said as he looked at him.
"...Can I not go?" He said this as Brent shook his head.
"No," he said as he started dragging him again.

In a cell,
A person was sitting alone as the cell was empty. His legs were crossed as he sat in a meditating position.
"How many?"
He voiced out his question as two people behind the bar raised their heads.
"There are three of them. Two males, one female." One of them spoke as the other opened his mouth.
"We have identified them. All that is left is your command." He said.
"Hah. Excellent. Don't harm them. Malipulate them by giving them misinformation. Give them information that works in our favor. Hahahaha, this is the perfect scenario."He laughed as the two bowed their heads and left the area.
"Sigh. Living without being able to use mana is getting frustrating, but finally, the time for me to be free is near." He muttered as he stood up and stretched his body.
"And I will repay that cocky General Kent for locking me here."
--
"Is that all?"
A person with the face of a teen and wearing a hat, General Kent, said as he looked at the two spies in front of him.
"Yes sir. This much." Brent replied as General Kent nodded his head and started writing on a document.
"For now, if possible, just find out how many factions they are divided into and the leaving figure of the faction." He said this as the two spies nodded their heads and left the office.
'Thank God I didn't have to talk.' The puny human thought as he tried to quickly get out of the office.
"Officer Ray."
Just as he was about to walk out, General Kent called out to him as he froze and turned towards him.
'What does he need with me?' He thought as he looked at him.
"Officer Brent, you are free to walk outside. I have something to discuss with Officer Ray in private," he said as Brent bowed his head and walked outside.
Clack
"Uhh, what did you want to talk about, General?" The puny human said as he looked at General Kent.
"Officer Ray."
"Yes."
"The faction of the south district expects big things from you." He said that the puny human just listened.
"They said that you were a talented officer and sent you here." He continued.
"I'm honored for the praise." The puny human said this as he tried to play along.
"You are aware that this is your last test before officially debuting as a real officer, right?"
"...yes sir."
"So, do you have any information or views regarding this mission that you want to share? I am asking this to you because, out of the three of you, you are the most experienced with these kinds of things."
