Chapter 8
Realm of Sey Eneerg
-Main POV: Deraj-
Deraj had listened to his dream girl and her sisters argue as he had checked on his men. Everyone was a bit bruised up but nothing was broken. Surprisingly. Elyk had yet to say a word and Deraj was beginning to worry that the ANAL agents might have cut his tongue out. They'd figure everything out when they got back to the ships though. Deraj's main priority was getting them all out alive at the moment. After seeing his dream girl's sisters fight, he was a bit less worried about that. However, as the leader it was his job to worry.
"I'm fine, Deraj!" Leira yelled at him for checking her bruises.
"I just needed to make sure. Your arm is very swollen. And I doubt that we're done fighting," Deraj replied.
"I have plenty of fight left in me. You should know that," Leira insisted.
"Right," Deraj agreed, he continued loud enough for all of his soldiers to hear him, "It's time to take all of our guns off of stun. These woman aren't pulling any punches, I see no reason for us to," Having already checked on the rest of his soldiers, he tuned back into his dream girls drama.
"Maybe. But I definitely have a good reason to beat the breaks off you!" The woman with the long, curly golden blonde locks said.
"Can they refrain from killing each other until we're out of here? More ANAL agents could arrive at any moment and most of us are injured," Deraj said to his dream girl.
"Yeah, you're right. We should get going," She said, looking him over with a hint of worry showing on her face.
"You just keep getting weirder and weirder, man," Golden curls said to Dream girl as she squinted her eyes, looking towards Deraj.
"Let's move," The woman who had been on fire commanded.
Deraj and his crew followed behind his dream girl and her sisters. A few ANAL agents appeared along the way but they died before Deraj or his soldiers could reach them. These women are amazing! Deraj thought. All of the doors along the way lay in shambles on the floor. Many bodies were already on the floor or hanging. These women didn't hesitate to add more either.
As they exited the building, an army of ANAL agents greeted them. The others engaged immediately, but the woman who was once again on fire was pointing at the others and mumbling to herself.
"Are your invisible friends all out?" The fiery woman asked Dream girl. She looked at him and he nodded his head.
"Yes, they are," Dream girl replied.
"Y'all might wanna stay the fuck away from the building! This bitch is about to blow!" The fiery woman yelled. They moved farther away from the building, closer to his dream girl. Moments later the entire building blew up. The other woman, the one that seemed to be using the air to kill her attackers, held up her hands towards the building right before it blew up. Debris rained down but it seemed to hit an invisible wall and never got close to their group.
"Can we roast marshmallows? I'm starving!" Evee whined.
"No one brought marshmallows, Evee. Let's finish killing these fuckers then we can get something to eat," Kat promised.
"But, I can just-" Evee began.
"Not in front of strangers," Kat cut her off. Kat wanted to use her special powers and turn into a dragon so bad, she understood Evee's pain. But they didn't know Misha's new invisible friends. There was also the possibility that the ANAL agents might be recording them. They needed to keep their special powers a secret so they would have the element of surprise if they needed it.
At the present moment there were at least a hundred ANAL agents charging them. There were about another fifty already dead. With Phoenix having blown up the building, this should be the last of them.
"I suggest your invisible friends make themselves visible if they're going to join in on all the fun. I'm about to roast these bastards extra crispy and, well, if I can't see them…" Phoenix said, letting it trail off for their imaginations to fill in the blanks.
Moments later three men and two women appeared out of thin air. They began darting through the ANAL agents, pausing briefly to focus on one before carrying on. The ones they focused on began killing the other ANAL agents. The ANAL agents that tried to attack them were swiftly put down, either by weapons or physical blows.
-Misha's new friends can hypnotize.- Kat projected to Phoenix and Trinity.
-They might be vampires.- Phoenix suggested.
-It's pretty rare for a vampire to possess the ability to turn invisible. This many who can all together could be extremely dangerous.- Kat stated.
-Whatever they are, we need to proceed with caution.- Trinity stated.
Misha was engaged in a battle with a man. She seemed to be taking her time as if it were a personal vendetta. The other ANAL agents around her were too busy to attack her, as they stripped and began a viscous orgy. They didn't even seem to notice when the recipient had died, they just continued with a hunger that would never be sated. Kat was proud of Misha. She'd come a long way already with her powers as well as with her combat training. To see a love witch using her powers for combat was a rare thing.
When Misha spotted the man who had held her captive she recalled his name instantly. Shane. One of the men who had beaten her and locked her up. The nosey man who asked too many questions and taunted her while she was behind bars. She knew that if she didn't reach him quickly, either her sisters or her new friends would take him out way quicker than he deserved. She quickly pulled on all the nearby auras and released the strongest burst of lust she could throw into them. They immediately stopped descending upon her, favoring tearing their clothes as well as each other's clothes off. They didn't stop there, each one having an uncontrollable hunger. A need for another's rough touch. And they received it, literally ripping each other's skin in an attempt to be closer.
Misha walked through the lust filled humans to Shane. He waited, eyes locked on her, with a taser baton in one hand and a knife in the other. The hatred in his eyes showed that he had no intention of leaving her breathing. Misha smiled at him, enraging him further. With a loud battle cry he charged at her, closing the distance in a matter of seconds. He swung the baton and she blocked it by knocking his arm away with one of her own. Immediately, he followed the attack by a jab from his knife. Misha grabbed his hand and twisted, feeling the bones snap. He dropped the knife, screaming in agony.
"I'm going to take my time with you," Misha whispered to him.
"I'm going to kill you, you bitch!" Shane snarled as he circled back, creating a little distance between them.
"You asked what I am. I'm a witch, mother fucker. And you don't ever want to piss off a witch. Even if your friends retreat, they will still be dead by morning. You will be dead by morning," Misha stated, her voice completely calm.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
"Even if I die, you're going to die first!" Shane said as he lunged at her with the baton again. Misha kicked his hand, sending the baton flying and eliciting another agonized scream from him. That hand wasn't completely broken like the other one. Perhaps a couple of the metacarpals snapped, but not the entire hand.
Shane looked around frantically for his fallen weapons. He spotted the knife and dove for it. Misha laughed as she kicked him in the face, sending him reeling back away from his goal.
"Stand up and fight me like a man, you pussy!" Misha taunted.
Shane stood up, his nose gushing blood. Tears filled his eyes but he held them at bay. He clenched his jaw as he calculated his next move.
"You don't seem so tough without your friends holding me down. And they don't seem so tough while they're fucking each other!" Misha cackled.
Shane charged at her again. He faked with his right hand and as she blocked it, he jabbed his left hand into her ribs. Misha's breath escaped her as a rib cracked, but she didn't let it slow her down. She head butted him. She smiled in satisfaction at the loud cracking sound of his nose. Blood sprayed. She grabbed his shoulders to keep him from moving and brought her knee up between his legs. His girly scream told her that she had hit her mark. He gripped his privates as he crumpled to ground. The tears he had been holding back streamed down his face.
"You know, normally this would be where I would end the fight. But since you beat me while I was down, it's only fair that I return the favor. Karma is a bitch, I'll be her deliverer today," Misha stated as she kicked him. She continued kicking until he had bruises at least as bad as the ones they had left on her. All too soon, he lost consciousness. She looked down at him, broken and beaten, and smiled in satisfaction. She brushed her hands off in a job well done and looked around for her sisters.
The last of the army of ANAL agents were engaged in battles with her sisters. Misha's new friends stood by for backup that would not be needed. This battle was as good as over.
Kat drowned a man with his own sweat, taking care not to touch him. Misha knew Kat was trying not to gag. Trinity had taken a woman's breath, she gasped for air that would never return and clutched her chest. Phoenix danced and laughed as a man burned alive in front of her. Evee had a marshmallow on a stick and was roasting it on the burning man while a tree hung a man with its branch wrapped around his neck beside her. Misha smiled at her sisters. There was nothing they wouldn't do for her. As Misha walked over to her sisters, Kat turned her head and glared at her.
"You left it living, Misha!" Kat growled.
Misha stopped walking and glanced back at Shane. "Barely," She mumbled.
Trinity crossed her arms. "We don't leave rodents living. Bad Misha,"
"I've got it!" Phoenix said cheerfully as she threw a fireball at Shane. The moment the fireball hit, flames engulfed his entire body.
"Phoenix! How is she supposed to learn if you clean up her messes!" Trinity chastised Phoenix.
"But she's my baby and I wanted to burn him!" Phoenix whined.
Kat pulled water from the air and put the flames out. "He's still breathing. Barely," Kat says after listening for a moment. "Misha, you need to be the one to kill him,"
"But I don't want to kill anyone," Misha whined.
"Honey, you're starting your witch trials. If you can't take his life then you won't make it through them. You took many lives tonight but you have to be able to make a direct kill," Kat stated.
"But I-" Misha started.
"As a love witch, it's extremely important to do this. You will do this, Misha," Trinity said, leaving no room for arguing.
Phoenix crossed her arms, clearly uncomfortable. "Do what you need to, Misha. The witch trials are not kind. You have to be strong," Phoenix said, looking at Trinity to draw strength from her.
Tears welled in Misha's eyes as she walked back towards Shane. His clothes were burned almost completely off, only chard strips remained. His entire body had burns. The blood from his nose had boiled, leaving a gap in his skin, revealing the teeth beneath. At this point, it was a mercy kill.
Misha stood over the man, unsure how to proceed. Her dark haired hero approached her with a dagger. He held it out to her.
"I'll do it if you need me to," He said.
"No, I have to do this," Misha replied as she accepted his dagger.
"Is this your first direct kill?" He asked.
"Yeah, tonight is the first time I've used my powers to kill," Misha said, her thoughts weighed down by the task at hand.
"Are you sure you don't want me to-" He started.
"I just need a moment," Misha cut him off. He took the hint and gave her some space.
Misha knelt down beside Shane. "You brought this onto yourself. And honestly you deserve this. But I take no pleasure from this. I will put you out of your misery. May you rest in peace," Misha said as she aimed the blade over his heart. With a deep breath, she plunged it in deep. She sat there with him as he took his last breath. She wiped her tears away and got up. Her dark haired hero waited beside her and she took comfort in his presence.
"Here," she said as she held out the dagger, blood dripping off it, to him. She continued, "Thank you, um…"
"Deraj. And you can keep the dagger," Deraj said.
"Thank you," She said again, her entire being feeling numb. Kat walked over and pulled water from the air. She bubbled it around the dagger until all the blood was washed off. The dagger gleamed.
"Wow, I can't believe your imaginary friends are real!" Star exclaimed as she walks over to Misha. She stops when she sees Deraj.
"Hey, I know you! Wait. Are you stalking me?" Star demanded, glaring at Deraj.
"Um, do I know you?" Deraj asked, confused.
"I'm the hot date you refused because you had to get home to your wife," Star stated, fluffing her hair.
"My what?" Deraj said as Misha said, "You're married?"
"I uh-" Deraj looked to the girl with the pink hair for help. She raised her eyebrow.
"Don't look at me. I'd never marry your ugly mug," Pink-haired girl laughed. Kat smiled at the girls insult.
"You are not helpful, Leira," Deraj said as he glared at her.
"Introductions of the not so invisible friends. Now," Trinity demanded as she, Phoenix, and Evee joined them.
Deraj's crew came over as he introduced all of them. Elyk stood silently beside Relyt. He had stayed close to him the entire time, not helping in the battle even once.
"We should get out of here," Deraj stated, looking around at the sea of dead agents.
"I should probably burn these. Unless," Phoenix said and looked at Kat.
"Yeah, we'll handle it," Kat stated. Misha knew that meant she'd bring the dragons out to feed. Phoenix nodded her head.
"Shall we go then?" Phoenix asked, looking at Trinity.
"Do we bring them with us or leave them here?" Trinity asked, gesturing to Deraj and his crew.
"We have transportation," Deraj said. He looked at Misha strangely, sending shivers down her spine.
"Where?" Kat asked, looking around. The only vehicle she saw was Evee's little car.
"Our vehicles are invisible," Deraj stated.
"Oooh, that's awesome!" Evee said.
"Don't forget our deal, Evee. Nothing invisible. Ever. Again," Kat said, glaring at Evee.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Are you ever going to let that go?" Evee replied, rolling her eyes.
"Hmmmm. No," Kat said.
"It was one time. And it was an accident!" Evee insisted. Deraj watched their exchange with a look of utter confusion.
"So. Bring them home with us, Phoenix?" Trinity asked.
"Wait. You mean to our house?" Phoenix asked, trying to figure out exactly who and how many she would be taking where.
"Yeah. I don't see why not. We need to fully debrief everyone," Trinity replied.
"Y'all want to bring them to our house? We don't even really know them! What if they turn out to be enemies?" Kat demanded.
"Well, it's not like they could go anywhere," Trinity stated.
"True. And if they try anything, I can fry them extra crispy," Phoenix agreed, rubbing her hands together gleefully.
"Fine. But I don't like it," Kat stated.
"You're so territorial. Chill," Trinity said to Kat, rolling her eyes.
"We need to get back to our safe place. It was nice meeting all of you!" Deraj said, having listened to the witches' conversation and knowing he and his crew might be burned alive. He tried to walk away. Phoenix smiled, grabbed him and Trinity, and disappeared. Phoenix returned, grabbed two of his buddies and disappeared again. She continued this until she had teleported all of them back to their realm, Sey Eneerg. Only Misha, Kat, and Evee remained.
"Vee, I told you not to use your powers in front of the new people!" Kat chastised Evee.
"They couldn't tell! I imagined the marshmallow in my pocket and grabbed a stick off one of my trees. They don't know!" Evee insisted.
"You just don't listen!" Kat yelled.
"I listened. They don't know if I carry marshmallows in my pocket. It was a totally sound plan!" Evee argued.
"More like a half baked plan. Who carries marshmallows in their pocket? I mean really, Evee!" Kat said, introducing her hand to her face for the first time in several hours.
"Well I think it's really half baked not to carry them in your pocket. I mean, you never know when you'll want one!" Evee said, shaking her head at the idea.
"You're ridiculous!" Kat growled.
"So, Kat, do you need a ride or are you going to portal home after the dragons eat?" Phoenix asked when she reappeared.
"Portal. I need to check on the younglings," Kat stated.
"Evee?" Phoenix asked.
"One second," Evee said. She imagined her car back at Sey Eneerg and it disappeared. She continued, "Okay. I'll hop a ride with you. Unless you need me, Kat?"
"Nah, you can hitch a ride back with Phoenix. I have to check on something else before I head back anyway. Plus I don't like the newcomers," Kat says, her eyes narrowing slightly.
"Be safe. Let us know if you need us," Phoenix said.
Kat nodded her head then walked a few paces away, stripping her clothes off to free her skin. As she takes her final step she utters her command to them; "Lassamque dracones" in a whisper. The glow of her magick brightens as the dragons jump from her skin, flying high while they grow to their full sizes. Once they land, Kat points them in the direction of the bodies and they eagerly jump towards the all you can eat buffet, not needing Kat to verbalize anything. Phoenix grabs Evee and Misha's shoulders and the world disappears around them.
